GT had good ideas, horrible execution. The fight choreography was lazy and boring. Super, at least towards the end, tried to push the envelope a bit and give us some new looks. Not a big fan of the red/blue/white hair palette swaps, although Ultra Instinct was at least an interesting and different concept.

Uub might've been the biggest let down in GT - my guy was the reincarnation of Buu, he shoulda been like the strongest next to the super saiyan 4's and for sure the most versatile - he was clearly doing way better against Baby than Ssj3 Goku but immediately after the fight with Baby he's treated as if he's the level of all the other Super Saiyans like, Trunks, Gohan and Goten during the Super 17 battle (all of whom are weaker than Goku in his base from even when they were Super Saiyan - and Uub was shown to equal Goku in his base form as an adult, let alone the kid version) Even if we forget about how inconsistent his strength is, he for some reason doesn't ever use the candy beam again after Baby (he even proved that it literally doesn't work on him even if it is reversed in that fight, so there's no reason not to) But if he also inherited Buu's ability to learn fighting techniques quickly (like is implied during his fight with Goku at the end of Z) then there's no reason he shouldn't be able to copy other fighters moves - Kid Buu learned instant transmision (or Kai Kai) after seeing it once and we're supposed to believe Goku not only didn't teach him instant transmission, but never even used it in front of him so he could copy it? He should literally have the deepest bag of any character in Dragon Ball Most egregious to me though, as proven after Bee the puppy got shot way back in DBZ- BUU CAN HEAL PEOPLE DOG! SSJ4 is a goated transformation. It's so perfect because it combines aspects of every saiyan transformation that came before it. From design alone it's already better than dbs transformations. Then there's the fact that it just works so well from a narrative perspective as well with Goku coming full circle and accepting the power he has as a Saiyan. Plus Pan was a fun character and GT Trunks was such a cute dork.
It's such a nice thing to see someone actually talking about GT and enjoying it instead of constantly shitting on it and GT fans just cause' "haha~ gt non canon~" And these words are from "Dragon Ball fans" btw. It's funny how everyone's a Dragon Ball fan until they aren't.
I don’t have more nostalgia for Z over GT, since I watched them on my laptop when I was a freshman in high school for the first time. Z is definitely more iconic, but GT closes out the series in a really satisfying way, once you get past that first arc… and the super 17 arc which I literally don’t even remember. My biggest complaint is really just the coloring , I like the palette of Z more, but some of that is the film decay of GT.
Also not a huge fan of the omega shenron design , but it’s good, just not my favorite. I’d love to know their inspirations for the design. SSJ4 will always be awesome.
One more thing, I love how much city destruction is in GT. Great change of environment compared to Z, which was also great, but it’s nice to get a change of scenery.
