This dude taught me more than my coworkers did. My franchise didn’t do subway uni nor did they enforce the coworkers to train everyone else. It’s absolutely disgusting I has to sit there and watch these vids instead of my coworkers help me out.
I had an interview 2 days ago at subway and I will soon be doing training, this video really helped me how to cut bread properly, thank you sir respect to you.
Going in for my second day and hella nervous cause this very reason... Wish we'd get clear instructions, that were formatted in a way someone unfamiliar with the restaurant can understand.
The worse mistake and it always happens to me.when it’s busy the person just handle money and doesn’t change gloves and then touches my food I just walk out.
That’s absolutely disgusting! I can tell you as a Subway employee-hand washing is always front and center and I wash my hands so much at work that I’ve literally dreamed about washing my hands and woke up actually doing the motions in my dead ass sleep. That store has a manager issue because I can tell ya my manager and co workers slammed it down my throat during training, especially after touching dirty ass money.
I'm not petty as long as you wash up hands once and don't touch your nose, sneeze in your hands or anything remotely disgusting I'm straight Changing gloves is a must though sometimes depending on if you have different sauces and stuff
Actually, I prefer the way that Subway originally cut their bread back in the 80"s. It was not like today's slice down one side. Instead they would cut a "triangle into the top of the bread, the entire length. Then the long triangle would be taken off and the meat, Cheese and topping placed onto the bottom part of the bread into the 'trough" and then the triangle pice was placed back on top of the sandwich. It was awesome!
Mmm there are two types of gloves I can order at my store, domestic or imported. I find the "domestic" ones to be easier to put on. Not sure if you have any influence on your manager. Other than that it just takes practice
I been working subway for three years and I cut bread in half but not all the way. I first put mayo on and mustard if customer wants and that helps stick lettuce and masters and pickels ally things then meats and red wine then close ups cheesetoo
Ps....6 inches looks more like 4 inches. Also workers at Subway can never cut exactly down the middle so you may end up with the smaller side-less fillings etc.
When cutting the bread in half you don't always cut in the center because both sides don't have the same mass of volume. You can cut a little off center but not too much, so you don't give the next customer a sorry wimpy 6 Inch sub. Am I right Jeremy Bell?
Hate the hinge cut. When I worked at Subway, I refused to Hinge Cut and would always do the old cut. No, not the Boat cut because honestly that's only good for a meatball sub, and MAYBE a Philly Cheesesteak...but nah fr, I used to cut it so everything laid down flat. All the customers loved when I made their food so even tho my manager hated me doing g it, she wouldn't ever correct me because my sandwiches were always beautiful pieces of art and she didn't want no smoke. Lmfao.
He didn't touch the oven? And we keep things clean and sanitized. I can assure you, the only items touching that cabinet is bread itself. And if you're disgusted that bread touches the bread? You're dillusional.

I admire anyone who works at Subway. This really takes skill.
I am neurodivergent autistic spectrum. I will every explanation in life was this explicit, thank you !!!

@@onionknight777i heavily relate and it sucks how that is … especially since you’re just supposed to rely on quick directions your coworkers tell you!
Thank you for the best manual for Subway part-timers!

Cutting bread is harder part than it seems. Nice video👍
wow, i was taught the term "hinge cut" but was never taught the 45 degree angle, thanks!
And my dumb boss gets angry at me because I couldn't learn it in three days
I may never work at a Subway, but now I can cut bread like I did... Thanks!
Cool!! I’m gonna try this at work tmr! And pass this onto my coworkers🥰🥰
I always cut it straight I never did the hinge cut but that’s so cool I did not know it make the sub neater 😱😱
@@littlep420 I thought it was common sense ☠️

Not all heroes wear capes
Thank you! No one cuts the bread correctly and as a former manager, it drives me nuts! (I started during the U-Gouge era, so...)
Eh even after teaching the kids they still never cut it the right way lol
Is it just me or is it super hard to put on your gloves at subway, does anyone have any tips lol

WHEN YOU PUT THEM ON PULL THEM TOWARDS YOU BY THE PINKY AND THE THUMB I HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE
I have the same issue

Do a video on putting meat in the sandwich I’m too slow 😭
It’s okay me too 😭
😂
Very informative...thanks
OG Subway cut from the 90s was so superior.

U-cut best way cut a subway, never been the same since they (Subway) stopped it
It’s called a v cut
,Thank youu . Much appreciated
Thaanks for the guide
Thanks! 😁
Bring the v cut back

No bread was harm in this video lol
Idk man... those 6 inch example breads looked pretty bad off 😭
U-GOUGE 😤
do yall make the bread?
Yes
The first step is making sure you know how to zip up your pants.
The bread has shrunk in all subways I have boycotted it. Bakeries and supermarket rolls and sandwiches are bigger and cheaper!
You need to come to our subway 😉 It's all about the proofing time. You need to get it exactly perfect...

Thumbs up if you're here cause you tried making an epic sub at home and everything kept falling out when you closed it
Nah, you need to do it the right way. V cut or u cut is the only acceptable way, it ensures that your sandwich stays in your sandwich.
Tou go too V cut it. duhh
Bruhhh
The lettuce looks like crap in all your videos.
Wearing plastic gloves and touching food and then touching the oven is very dirty. Why are you doing this?
The oven was sanitized
