- living alone in seoul ep.38 - instead of spending my birthday alone in quarantine like I did last year, I celebrated with my dear friends, the people who have made the past year as fun as it has been. I went back to Maison Hannam, I restaurant I had eaten at earlier in March, and had yet another wonderful dinner with a stunning night view of the han river and lotte tower. And of course, we had to finish the night off with hours of karaoke!!! On another night, I got to try out this jeon (korean pancake) restaurant that is well known for their makgeolli (korean rice liquor), as well as their fresh honey combs! the jeon was delicious and I have a new found love for bossam and gat kimchi now. Although I had spent the week celebrating, life threw some curveballs at me - my boiler in my apartment unit broke resulting me in having no hot water for 4 days which also meant 3 nights of cold showers. Thankfully I eventually had that fixed but later that day, my SSD broke and I almost lost 1TB of data/footage. I since then have been able to recover most of it but this still has been an ongoing issue impairing me of a good workflow. Unfortunately life sometimes really do be like this haha. Overall though, I am so thankful for all the great things that happened ~
