Shehzad Ahmed you do realize their at war with themselves cough cough isis and the general that got shitted on with a go pro Drone meanwhile the fuckin red white and blues and trying to make it peaceful but it’s hard when the place your in is at war within its self and you gotta be on your toes so that you don’t get blown up or shot even kidnapped to be tortured by the people you protect
@@shehzadahmed6088 Lol, who cares! They're dead. The Middle East can never recuperate, not even in 500 years. Only America, European union, Russia, & China can change the fate your country. Your a nobody but a bomb strapped asshwole.
Ppl still knockin' the story for being unrealistic, it's a damn video game, also, it being unrealistic's one of the reasons they changed the original enemy from China to Korea.
Sears Raiden Obviously, all the most powerful countries in the World such as the U.S.A, U.K, Russia, South Korea, China, or the E.U that would, in a real world event, take immediate action upon North Korea's aggressive actions or expansion all had a hard time taking on a country of 25 million population and a million soldier army. Somehow China and South Korea, which each have a way more powerful military, just allowed North Korea to annex them...somehow. Russia, nor anybody else somehow, saw this as a threat in no way, so yeah... they just let it happen because that's realistic -___-. Yet, when the U.S.A gets invaded and occupied, it only takes a group of insurgent vigilantes to successfully fight off a (fictitiously) powerful military. Mean while, the U.S allies... they just stood there and watched, not seeing any of it as a conflict of interest. It's like Red Dawn all over again. How realistic.
Wow, 2 Years ago. Well, here I go. Now, Homefront is mainly unrealistic, but, it does shine light on some of the things like China. As shown in the E3 trailer for this game, China in 2015 goes through this economic revolution, which I guess is like an uprising, and the US , as known in real life, the US economy is closely tied to china, which you could say begins the dreaded downfall of the US. Then, of course, the Saudi-Iran war, in which, worsens the US due to a large oil shortage of the world supply. Then, as we go back to 2013, we could assume that North Korea and South Korea signs a formal declaration of peace, and Kim Jong Un ends up uniting the country under HIS leadership. And there is a small, small chance of possibility, that Russia, perhaps in this timeline, is isolated. It never states what's going on in Russia during all this, so there is a chance they might be isolationists. Plus, we COULD perhaps see that NATO was dissolved at some point...maybe, perhaps between 2015 - 2020? Maybe 2017 most likely, because, as stated, this was written by John Milius, who wrote the script for the 1984 Red Dawn, where NATO is also dissolved, paving the way for of course, in that film, a Soviet invasion of America. I Would most likely prefer this timeline, than the Homefront: The Revolution timeline, as it may appear a bit unrealistic, but I hope I might have placed some bits of fill ups in the story. OR, you can always read the Homefront book, Homefront: The Voice of Freedom, could contain some filler to what actually happened. I hope you can reply soon to this!
I can't fucking believe we, the EU and NATO partners, didn't come to aid the US at the very first moment of the war. A shame that only when the remnants of the American army began to retake their country we eventually began to discuss whether to join the fight or not. Such a shame.
Considering how closely tied the US economy is with Europe, after the US economy collapsed, so did the entire rest of the Western world, (and to be honest the entire world would, including Korea but bleh). Europe was in no state militarily or economically to fight a war with Korea. They probably did declare war, but in this timeline Korea had the third largest GDP in the world and the largest military, so what would they be able to do anyway?
@YANKEESLIFE4 I agree, plus the graphics of this game were perfect. too bad there weren't any cutscenes in this game. oh well, you win some you lose some.
When countries were finding out that NK's weapon production was sky-rocketing, the U.S. and it's allies should have taken action and invade North Korea before all this Koreans invading my home island and the western states happened.
Shadownet calm down this is a what if scenario. Clearly the writers had to come up with something for the North Korean s to have some leverage. We all know they can’t feed themselves let alone start wars they know will result in utter failure on their part
It is funny how people are so fearful of the US losing they cannot place themselves in an alternate universe with amazing detail of events repeating themselves in history. This is really a great story if you can actually take the time to indulge yourself on the games backstory.
I enjoyed this game and it's story, which is why it sucks so much that the second game was just such a let down... As for the "oh this could never happen!" Well... it did... in the game... the game gave as much explanation both in the cutscenes and in the addition in-game lore you come across to explain how and why the game is taking place as the game's developers felt was needed, don't forget they also had the man who wrote "Red Dawn" help with this story. The "if it could really happen" topic is mostly irrelevant and way to many people seem kinda angry when discussing it. Could North Korea actually take on the US? Probably not, fourth largest standing army in the world but they have lots and lots of problems... in REAL LIFE. In the game they managed to "fix" those problems and the US is facing its own. It all makes sense, IN GAME. The second game and its story is much more of a stretch and problematic as while the first game just went "in the future this happens" the second game decided to actually rewrite history and, maybe even a more grave sin, decided the first game just didn't exist. So not really a sequel we all hoped for but a reboot... that sucked...
I never liked Homefront. Crappy premise and crappy story. America and Russia are two countries that cannot be invaded. Also, the Japanese Self Defense Force would curb stomp Korea so hard it would split back in to two just from sheer awesomeness.
Tbf the GKR only won because over 26 Japanese Nuclear power plants were seized by the KPA and were essentially held hostage, with the GKR threatening to destroy them and decimate Japan, forcing them to surrender. 2.The KPA defeated America as the USAs economy collapsed and the debt to the APEX corporation spiralled, the Koreans made their decision by blasting an EMP over the US and invading Hawaii from the Korean puppet states in asia (which were defeated by the KPAs massively superior tech)before the KPA landed in California and seized San Francisco,a few states later the KPA filled the Mississippi river with radioactive materials and split the nation in 2 with Homefront taking place in the 'New Korean Federation of Occupied America'and having the US army scattered. 3.As for NATO,well, they actually were debating whether they should help America, but much of NATO relied on Korea's APEX tech and didn't want to risk getting shut down like the USA.
my question is why is the anthem of north Korea playing on the radio? wouldn't they play something else like song of kim il sung? it just doesn't make much sense to me.
Any ways if America was being invaded in real life the rest of the nato would be there shame on them for ditching there allies and also South Korea is one of USA main allies besides Canada and USA give funds to south so in real life North Korea would be alone and what USA did to Japan years ago they could do to North Korea in seconds also North Korea could only last a few days in the war do to its navy and airforce
Lol I like how NK was kind enough to our allies to trace our border with the EMP 😂😂
Some of my soldiers laughed at this game when it came out. They weren’t laughing when Kim-Jong Il died; if I’m being honest they pissed themselves
Isn’t it interesting that the EMP wave stoped right at the Canadian Border? The lights were still on up there.
Made in 2011 portraying North Korea as a world super power under the rule of Kim Jong Un. Eight years later, I look at this and laugh my ass off.
The idea was to make China as the antagonists, but the higher ups decide to change it
As a American idk why it brought me to tears Ik it’s just a game but still idk it’s just to much for me
It hurts right? Now think of all the innocent people in iraq/lybia/Afghanistan that suffered because of your warmongering govt invaded them
