The first Homefront had its problems, it certainly wasn't a perfect game, especially how short it was, but the beginning of that game was pretty awesome. I'm not really sure why they changed the storyline in Revolution. I found that to be the best part about the first one, they took over and they were actually pretty terrifying. Complete assholes and psychopaths. In this one they don't seem as threatening. I still remember the part where they shot a kids parents in front of him and how you actually had to hide in a mass grave just to avoid them. I personally loved this game. I tried not to compare it with similar games like Far Cry or Infamous, and ended up liking the game as a whole. It fixed a lot of the problems the previous game had, such as voice acting, longer gameplay, challenging enemies, and difficult missions. Also, the resistance in the previous game seemed less interesting, as they mostly already had advanced equipment, stable supplies, and the enemies were pretty easy to kill. This game makes you feel how scarce everything is, and it shows you how hard it is to get what you need to survive.

Chrisymck Mck True, but this game happens in a different time line as reported. For example, NK EMPs the US and invades in the previous game. The original had potential and a much more believable story. Due to recession america pulled back from South Korea and Asia as a whole. The North Koreans took a gamble and invaded the South. They succeeded. Using the Souths superior technology and added manpower they invaded Japan and many other countries. With sheer brutality, and fanatical devotion, they made an Empire for themselves out of the graves of the millions, tens of millions they slaughtered. With America reeling from major economic hardship the North Koreans once more took a gamble and invaded the U.S." Due to major economic hardship the U.S. Military was almost a shadow of its former self. What's sad about the game is that North Korea is completely lost in touch with the outer world. They still have technology from the 1950's, and can't even sustain a proper military.
It pisses me off when they make one, and then make it again completely different. What, they thought the original story was so bullshit they had to remake it and give North Korea some alternate history backstory in order to more realistically pull it off? The original game was good enough they should've just built upon that instead of wiping it away.
But you fail to realise, that most of those bugs would have been smooth pre-release. If you knew anything about game development, there would always be a game test phase or a debug phase. But holy crap this had game bugs that should have been fixed prior release. Have u seen the scaling of the gun models? Jesus... some times the audio wasnt in sync. why did they change the story. so much lost potential
I got the wind of Farcry, WatchDogs, and Ghost Recon on this one.. Too bad the narratives and story kinda suck.. It got potential. Plus i don't see any character development here.. So.. 6/10. I like the open world kind of things there tho..
