I don't see what makes this the "arcade" edition. The screen is too short, the sound is screwy and it doesn't appear to play more like the arcade. It looks like it is an improvement over the regular version, but still needs work.
I don't consider it "stealing" to port a 40 year old video game to a system that hasn't been sold in 35 years. My main problem with Team Pixel Boy and others like it is the outrageous amounts of money they are asking for their games and how they create the artificial scarcity (by making a single small run of the games) while refusing to even release the ROMs. Not only that, but they sell the ROMs. I don't know to what extent the MSX ports are "stolen" or merely just ported.
Well, I do agree that $250 is too much for that thing, especially if it doesn't even come with controllers. TBH, I really don't even see why you would want it over an emulation thing. I play classic video games either on emulation or on the real thing hooked to a CRT. If the source has been released to the public, you can't really say it's stolen.
What do you mean by collaborate? You mean like test it and give you feedback? I love to debug games I do it for you and you would have all the feedback you need within 24hrs!!! I use several Colecovision emulators that I would test it on first off and second off I OWN a actual real system so even if you wanted to mail a beta cartridge out that would be fine too. However I do not have any expansions but if it ran just as is without expansions that's fine.
Phattyboombatty - I did notice the year this video was submitted so this is a pretty old post, is there a prototype ROM finished? We can surely start with that for now. Testing homebrew games for all signs of improvement usually work best with emulation then a physical product can be worked on and produced when all the bugs are fixed. Emulators for old systems are prob more stable than a actual real thing just because of how old a game systems hardware can get over the years the normal wear and tear.
Hey Kong, you don’t have to smile every time you look at us.
He forgot to shut his mouth
Nice Shading on the Construction Site
I have the ROM and am glad to share. But first, I’d like a collaborator to help me tighten up the mechanics. Any takers?
Can I get a copy of the rom? I need it for a video remake of Let's compare Donkey Kong. Or do you know where I can get it?

Doesn't the Phoenix have the F18a mod built in along with a card reader and the SGM?

It doesn't have USB? They are using the original Colecovision bios?
I agree that $99 is a much better price point and much fairer.
The only version closest to the arcade is the arcade itself.

Hi Joe - Yes, that's what I mean. Would love to refine this and bring it to completion!
