ABOUT ME
I’m Cedric, a student in the Online Master of Computer and Information Technology (MCIT) program at the University of Pennsylvania. I make videos about my academic journey, lifestyle, and guide to personal growth.
Great video man, 8 months later and your still changing lives with this video.
Thanks! Glad you think so.
That's really cool man. What kind of jobs can you get with that major? And, in your opinion, could all of that be learnt just through reading? Was there anything unique about the university experience itself that you wouldn't find elsewhere?
Nice vid!
Disjointed Monologues FWIW, Most of the graduates from my major have jobs in sales, business, software engineering. Though this may not be from philosophy per se. I believe that a lot of what I learned can be read about. But what I found valuable in college was being challenged on what beliefs I had through discussions with students and faculty.
I’m also studying philosophy at UA. Funny that I stumbled across this
Those who people think what this degree mean after we got
You can be a politician, historian, pope of nature,
Writter and more Idk
Hmmmm
Only reason I’d see to take this degree is if you’re going to law school
Hey I’m considering a philosophy minor and this video really excited me. I’m in engineering and we have 6-7 classes. Why did you only take 1-3? Is that convention?
Hey is there any chance you could share a link to your thesis 8:16 would love to read it!
Is it possible to work in the government in policy making? I imagine if youre a philosophy graduate you'd understand ethics, humans and morality the best.
i think that it may be possible, try to do a master in law tho
seems heavily inspired by analytic philosophy and the general anglo-project of removing all of metaphysics, literature and religion from philosophy and turning it into science.
Wow! You made 4 years of work in 10 mins!
Buhay Buhay sa Amerika Haha yeah I wish I could always do that!
@@cedricvicera keep it up
I love this video!!
I am deff interested in majoring in philosophy+english(I am from Croatia so its not just english lit.) or philosophy+sociology.
Did you graduate from your college?Do you have a job?
Do tell!
Sincerely,Mario
Mary Queen of Scots Yes I recently graduated from college with Honors in Philosophy. Right now I’m pursuing a Masters in Computer Science. I plan to combine my interests in Philosophy and CS on the future.

@@user-dc7zw no, unfortunatelly not yet.
But I think I am going to do phil.+sociology because that rly interests me and I will take philosophy at A-levels (I mean its not a levels but its the closest way I can describe to you, Croatian education system is weird.)
I am currently in 3rd grade high school, next year I will be a senior.

Awesome video. What was your favourite sub category that you studied?
Probably Bioethics and Philosophy of Science
@@cedricvicera Cool. Was it a 3 year degree?
@@jaked5947 typically 4 year bachelors but I graduated early in three years
Sounds like a hot mess
Philosophy is one of those degrees that I don't understand why people want to graduate with
Its interesting
Look up GRE scores by major. Philosophy students scored highest on analytical writing. It isn't just interesting. Studying philosophy teaches you not just what to think, but how to think critically. It's the most practical of majors, and can be applied to almost everything.
Leads you closer to happiness
@@posesepulu3771 I know plenty of philosophy major student friends who are deep in debt because of this stupid major. If it really thought them how to think they would probably think twice about majoring in something else. Best major you can major on is public health. Plus philosophy is nothing more but European bs.
@@soa2444 Dude anyone in any major can get into debt. College is expensive for everyone and loans dont help lol. It's what you do with your degree that counts. There's plenty of conventions and communities that you can expose yourself to get a career with philosophy, largest being becoming a professor. European philosophy? Ever heard of Lao Tzu? Confucius? There's opportunities for philosophy all over the world, and that's what makes it useful
