its so sad how Billie said her least favorite song is watch. Its so good!!!!
In that VF interview, Billie is hardest on 16 year old Billie at several points - making choking or shut up gestures at her. "Watch" is 15/16 yr. old Billie and she's singing strongly and beautifully. I'm thinking there was something about her depression/mood at 16 that Billie doesn't want to revisit ever - it's scary for her. I think the day will come when older Billie will look back at this Billie and say "She came further from a point of darkness/depression than any of us (the other Billies) and still moved people, even when she was profoundly unhappy.
i know right? "watch" is one of my favorite song of hers.

Bellyache is from the perspective of a serial killer that regrets what they’ve done. It was inspired by Garbage by Tyler, the Creator. I think you’re the only person I’ve ever seen catch on to the fact that her friends are dead in the first verse on the first listen

@@astridsblushing Her 2nd EP 'Young Life Crisis' is a masterpiece so you should check that first!! her 1st EP is called "Hindsight 20/20" (2019) then she released "YLC"(2020), then her debut album "Lady Jesus" (2021) and she just released her 3rd EP last month "Saggitarius" (2022) if you want the order but i fall in love with her for Young Life Crisis

copycat -- at the time there was a girl copying her, but not just fashion EVERYTHING. fashion, personality, hair, etc. so ofc she made a song
watch -- billie said that watch is actually her least favourite song which tbh i disagree :(
party favour -- the song is basically a voice message to her ex. i mean at the start it had the phone saying "leave a message" which also should hint that ig. the parts where shes talking about calling the cops is her saying if he harrases her again she'll call the authorities.
bellyache -- the song is about how in the moment your doing something you can feel so pumped to do it, but in the end you're left with guilt
ocean eyes -- this was her first properly released song she ever made. she was 13 when she wrote it and it was what kickstarted her career-- another fun fact is that when billie first said to her brother "i wanna make music" finneas said "im gonna make you the biggest star" they were laughing, but little did they know they would be one of the biggest artists.
