As a woman who is into sports, I agree with Shaq on one thing- the WNBA is not exciting to watch and it has nothing to do with what they have on. 😂😂😂 When Magic Johnson and the Lakers were dominating the NBA in the 80s, we watched. It was exciting to see the competitive aspect of the game. We watched to see who was gonna beat the Lakers. When Jordan got popular in the 90s, we watched. It was exciting to see what he was gonna do, who he was gonna fly over, etc. The NBA is starting to get a little boring now because everybody just wants to shoot 3s all day and miss. But when I watch (or try to watch) the WNBA, I just see them throwing, not even shooting, the ball to the hoop. We watched Angel Reese and Caitlyn Clark because it was competitive energy. That’s what’s missing, it’s not exciting to watch. Just throw, run, throw, run. If lowering the goal is what they need to do, do it. It’s entertainment at the end of the day and they are not entertaining. I would definitely not put the women in short shorts to appease the men. I am a new fan to the WNBA in 2024. I stayed away from WNBA for years because of the amount of lesbians and not enough femininity. Until, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese in college got me interested in women basketball/WNBA. This year I went to three WNBA games and they all had an exciting atmosphere.

The girls in the wnba couldn’t dunk on 8 foot baskets! They play very low level BB most of the time. I once saw Angel Reese do a quadruple dribble, then take 5-7 steps, before missing three layups. She did rebound her misses, to her credit. I tried to watch CC-22 highlights but stopped watching when she said she was voting for Harris for POTUS on 9/11/2024. I stopped watching the nba over 14 years ago because it’s unwatchable. I wouldn’t watch the wnba even if they played NUDE BB, it would still be horrible BB.

As a woman who is into sports, I agree with Shaq on one thing- the WNBA is not exciting to watch and it has nothing to do with what they have on. 😂😂😂 When Magic Johnson and the Lakers were dominating the NBA in the 80s, we watched. It was exciting to see the competitive aspect of the game. We watched to see who was gonna beat the Lakers. When Jordan got popular in the 90s, we watched. It was exciting to see what he was gonna do, who he was gonna fly over, etc. The NBA is starting to get a little boring now because everybody just wants to shoot 3s all day and miss. But when I watch (or try to watch) the WNBA, I just see them throwing, not even shooting, the ball to the hoop. We watched Angel Reese and Caitlyn Clark because it was competitive energy. That’s what’s missing, it’s not exciting to watch. Just throw, run, throw, run. If lowering the goal is what they need to do, do it. It’s entertainment at the end of the day and they are not entertaining. I would definitely not put the women in short shorts to appease the men. But if u wanna bring more women to the games, make it more entertaining. We have young ladies that play high school basketball that are really competitive and we attend all of their games. And stop calling fouls on every single thing. That’s BS. That takes away from the excitement as well. Ok they can’t just be out there hitting each other, which they don’t do. Nothing will make the WNBA drastically more profitable. Doing what Shaq suggests would drive the studs out, and it will cause the remaining players to be ridiculed as show girls, not athletes. Eventually, it would gow the way of lingerie league football. WNBAs problem is the Skill / athleticism gap with the NBA is too apparent. Unlike MMA, tennis, or track and field. In those sports, you can't determine the skill or athletic gap as the compete. A rear naked choke is the same when applied by a man or a woman. Shelly Ann Frasier runs just as technically sound as Noah Lyles. The spectator can get lost in the competition, whereas with the WNBA, fans of basketball see the discrepancy in skill and athleticism, and it is glaring. It's not just dunks. It's pass dropped, missed layups, poor shooting percentages. Basketball fans would prefer to watch the G league over the WNBA.

Angel couldn't even humble herself long enough to hear all that Shaq had to say. She's trying so hard to make herself the face of female basketball yet couldn't give a man who was the face of the NBA for quite a number of years, a world champion several times over the simple respect to just hear him out. Instead she balked at every suggestion he made. Innovation and subtle changes to the men's game is what got basketball the game to the prosperity it now enjoys.
Dunking will not save the WNBA. Dunking is savage. I will never look at a women dunking as savage, it always looks awkward when you see the few women dunking.
She makes no money but she always sporting designer brand's and lives in a 10K a month apartment. Make it make sense.
