Rest In Peace Lawrence, Levi, Obie, and Duke. With the passing of Duke yesterday 7/22/2024, all Four Tops are together, again. For any fan of music, Dukes book is a highly recommended read. Could not put it down and will read it again.
Profiles in Pittsburgh Allegheny County PA Thankful to have met Duke at Hines Hall Downtown Pittsburgh PA. He was remarkable person with a smile out of this world. I was blessed to hand him a proclamation from our County Executive Rich Fitzgerald. He was blessed to have it thank me for it and drove off with his men. I'll never forget that day because he was truly someone special from the stage to the sidewalk and a hug was given to me. Wow will be his fan forever Nora Rose Parker Carter
My word! Does that man look ageless. I had the book on pre-order for months, and read it in a day. Great story about a great group. May the name live on, and may the brothers sing forever together - in the wild blue yonder.
Congratulations to u Duke a great legend of all times u just don't look 86 yrs young happy belated birthday sending u birthday wishes all the way from Jackson Michigan 🙏 take care 🙏 and stay safe.
I met Duke at a concert 12/10/22 in Newark, NJ just an hour north of me. I was fortunate enough to go up to the stage and meet him, Alex, LJ, and Ronnie. I told him, “I love you man.” And he simply replied, “I love you too lil brother.”
I only hope the Holland bros gracious enough to invite Louvain Demps and Jackie Hicks of The Andantes to again perform backgrounds making this project 4-ever memorable. That would cap it off .
RIP to all the four tops, one of the best group.
Thank you for bringing good music to the world

Nothing is better than the old school music! My daughters birthday is also the 26 of Dec.
I hope this musical comes about. Would be really nice to have more great music, and cement their legacy.
It will be great to hear some new productions from the Holland brothers. Shame Lamont couldn't be part of it.
I’m going to order the book today
Anything the Holland brothers create will be amazing. "I'll Be There",..... you can count on me.
They came together in 1954 at a high school graduation party.....
Yes:They were teenagers then!
1953.
@@jaylene.turner6524 I thought accounts said 1954....

Duke said they formed at a party in
1953.
