The fall blue rust red with the "cut-out" is a ruana or shawl. You flip one of the tails over your shoulder and pin with a nice brooch. Would love to have the one you found! Would go great with jeans and boots.
Juile, how could you of all people forget to think about the folders in the buggy? I loved the quilt. I hope you, your family and all the animals are doing okay with the heat. Take care!
Love the bowls. Large shallow ones like those are great for spaghetti as they keep the sauce from ending up on the table. I'm glad you mentioned the lead test. I see so many people using old dishes who might not be aware that lead was not outlawed in dinnerware in the US until 1971. Some other countries may not have outlawed lead until later, not not at all.
I would've kept the quilted ceramic hen in the buggy until I found someone to give me a price on her. She was so cute! And I love the pillow you bought. It definitely screams Fall. You have a great day and stay cool!❤
Love the salad bowls. I have an obsession too,for old vintage crazed serving bowls. I use mine all the time. That quilted looking rooster would have came home with me....like I need it. lol Great haul Julie.
Hi Julie. Love the dishes, so cute. Thank you for the tip about checking for lead. I also like the green and white or cream gingham check for a bathroom shower curtain. I live gingham check, it never goes out of style and its so country and primitive. Hey, have you asked them about that hutch, if they ever decide to sell it, have them call you. They might especially since they know you. It doesn't hurt to ask and it's cute as can be and I think I saw the name, Julie on it! Lol! I also liked the pillow, so pretty. I hope yall have a great weekend. Pray for cooler temps and rain. Its been 107 all week in the DFW area here in Texas. Thanks for another hreat video, Julie. 🥤😎
When the soup bowls are shallow like those you picked up, we always referred to them as rim soups. To me the other soup looked more casual where the rim soups appeared more formal. A true rim soup has a rim like the dinner plate thus the term. I like the way you use white ironstone. ❤
Hey Julie. I have a huge collection of this pattern collected over the last 15 years. Although not from England they are ironstone. I enjoy thrifting with you. Your home is truly beautiful with your finds and styling!
Hi Julie The white plates are called soup plates or soup bowls. Sometimes they are marked USA. On the back sometimes they are marked homer Laughlin. My sister and I collect and use this Pattern we call it the seagull pattern because the little edging resembles seagulls in flight You scored a really good thing. Finding so many and at a great price
Those ivory shallow bowls are most likely for pasta…or salad! @1:46 I loved that funky vintage lamp @8:30 And YES! I would’ve bought that patchwork quilt topper.
I really enjoyed walking around the shop with you! I’ve slowed down and looking much more carefully for those gems and bargains in my local charity shops!😊
Oh my goodness. Look at all of those Mary Engelbreit books. I have been hoping to thrift the cross stitch book for ages. I didn't know she had so many books. I would have bought them all.
Great idea for shower curtain...I have 1 of those shallow bowls that my husband had before we were married...that has been 29yrs so its untelling how old it is
Ms. Julie blessings. Love going along on your thift venues. You are a gifted visionary pickler....you see a use for items not always obvious. Thanks. I style a lot using your tips.
our SA stores are very expensive on their art tto .They put them in a bin made from pallet wood, which is very difficult to get individual pictures out to look at. they really get banged up, art begins at like 5.99 for a small little frame... Our SA stores are also phasing out the sale of books, they said when I asked that it is because you can Kindle or ebook so no one wants books...
Wow ! You happened across a lot of potential hauls in one store! I was surprised you left behind the sage plates..bc I know you love green. ! Glad you got the pillow and shower curtain ! You really lucked out ! Shower curtain is a great idea. I love the white salad plates. Thank you for the video . Have a great weekend !
I've seen bowls like these referred to as pasta bowls. They do work great for that & for salads, too. The pillow was a great find as was the green check. The little pink & blue trinket dish with lid - I have a round one just like it on a shelf in my sewing room. I have no idea where it came from. I would have gotten the patchwork chicken, though I have no idea where I would put it.😂 I wish I had your self-control! 😊
I think that plaid linen with the cutout was a cape/shawl. The cutout would’ve been where your head goes and the skinny panels would’ve draped over the shoulders.
So funny " I'm done with the pink". Haha. You always say " think about it in the buggy" you forgot the file folders. Silly. Inflation even at the thrift store. Darn. I would buy the patchwork blanket. Pillow is gorgeous. WOW .99
That plaid piece was a shawl; GW had it in the wrong place. There was one exactly like it at my Goodwill this past week, but I bought a different one that was black and grey - at the linens price of $2.99!
Hi from Pennsylvania I started to do what you are doing In your home I found vintage things and do that to . But I never did it with plates so you give me a hint to do the same thing so I TYOU so much . Be watching u more bye
Good finds Julie! Green gingham, yes! I can't wait to see the makeover on that. I have two shallow bowls like that, we also use them for salad and also for beans and cornbread dinners. Ready for fall! Blessings 😊
That fabric you like but had a cut out. I believe it was a shaw cause I have ran across several thinking they were throws but the shaws. N I love that pillow n bowls. Thanks for sharing.
Another amazing thrift store hual I enjoy watching your hauls great finds you always find great deals so good job girl 👧 enjoy your beautiful weekend see you next time 🐞💛😊💕🤟🌻🙏🥰
Hi Julie. I love the pillow and the gingham material. We think a like . I often buy material or a tablecloth and use it for something else. You know copying someone is the most sincere form of flattery and this fall I am so excited about you using blue in your fall decor. I found at the Dollar Tree these gorgeous little picks with blue and orange teeny pumpkins. I could kick myself for not getting more. I know you are not a glass lover but I will mix some blue glass in with my fall. I almost wish it wuuld be time to decorate. I want to do more natural things like pottery and no signs this year. I love how you want to change things up..I do all the time. Right now I need to put stuff up in the attic but messed up my knee and afraid my "trick" knee will give out. I put stuff upnand take stuff down. It is almost stupid that I have so much fall decor. Have a great weekend Julie..always so " good" to see you. ❤❤❤❤
HOLY MOLEY!!! I’ve caught another live video with you!! I only wish they were longer videos 😢. I love to see what ALL is in the thrift shops you explore 💕🙏🙏. Your Illinois friend here ❤ ….. EVERY KITCHEN SHOULD HAVE A CHICKEN!! That’s a saying from long ago 😊
Some nice finds--love your style. I was curious what the very first artwork piece was in the bin when you were looking and came to the one priced at $15. I saw the beginning of an Emily Dickinson poem. Love the gingham green tablecloth, what a steal! And that pillow, yes the colors are divine. Would love to see that once you have it styled in your home. Happy Friday 🌸
Absolutely love your finds!

I think that beautiful plaid piece is a shawl. Very pretty fabric. I would make a table runner out of it.
Thank you 😊! I see it now.
I thought it looked like a shawl, too.
Oh I wish I had All those MaryEngelbreit books!! I collect her pieces & have her Christmas cook book💖💖
Julie, that pillow is such a unique and awesome find, I love it!! Those shallow bowls were awesome too. Great haul❤
Hi Julie 💓 trifting is so much fun with u thanks for taking us along 😊 have a nice weekend God bless xoxo Laura
Thank you 😊
Our GW had the quilted cat!
Loved your idea using a bedsheet for a shower curtain. Guess what I going to thrift for.🤣♥️ As always had fun tagging along
I love to eat out of those shallow bowls instead of a plate. Makes my portions smaller!
Oh yes!!
Love the bowls. Large shallow ones like those are great for spaghetti as they keep the sauce from ending up on the table. I'm glad you mentioned the lead test. Thank you so much 😊! Actually I have and she always says I’ll call you if we decide to sell it. So I’m patiently waiting 😁
Those bowls make great spaghetti plates or any pasta dish.
Came here to say that! Great minds think alike! 😊
Oh yes, I forgot about that. Thank you 😊
That pillow probably originally sold for around $30. Gorgeous!! Love the green gingham shower curtain idea!! You go girl. 👍😉

My grandmother had those exact same bowls…they are from the early 60’s…that cut out is a Christmas tree skirt…love those placemats…That Rooster 🩵🩵🩵🩵
Those ivory shallow bowls are most likely for pasta…or salad!
@1:46 I loved that funky vintage lamp @8:30
And YES! I would’ve bought that patchwork quilt topper.
Julie, I love that fall pillow!!! So lovely.
Thank you 😊
My mom had a set of dishes like the white ones you picked up in the beginning. We ate salad out of them. 🥰
Shallow bowls like that are so perfect for salads and also pasta with sauce. 😋

Her books are fun!
Great thrift and haul! You lucked out on that beautiful pillow! Love the green gingham for the shower curtain! 🥰❤️

I chuckle every time you mention 'blue'!
Maybe that acrylic and wood piece with all the holes in it was a test tube holder or maybe a dead hole glass tubes that you put starter plants in
Definitely some amazing items you found. I think the white plate checked fabric was my favorite. Thank you for taking us along Julie.
Thank you 😊
My favourite is the cushion, so gorgeous. Have a wonderful weekend Julie.

Great pricing on the dishes. In Northern CA the thrift stores sell per piece so it would have been $4.50 per dish.
