It is great that you can install the second ssd on t480/t480s but is it really worth it? I only could find a USED 512 GB WD on ebay for 75$. Not to mention that The WWAN slot only has 1 lane for 900MB/s. Unless you want to install a second OS and make it dual bootable. If you have a default 256gb storage and just want more storage you can just buy 1TB samsung 970 evo plus for like $90 and clone your old ssd with Samsung Magician software.
I recently bought a used t480s and also wanted to add a second ssd at first because it came with only a 256gb ssd. But after comparing the prices I just decided to keep using my 256 ssd while waiting for a price drop for 1TB samsung 970 evo plus to around $50-60 this year.

Hi! I have got a ThinkPad T480 512 SSD. Is it OK to increase memory using another SSD card? I believe T480 specs mention it supports only up to 1TB. What are your thoughts? Also, any links where we can get the right SSD from? Thank you! I have just subscribed to your channel! Best of luck!!

    • @ChezDoesStuff

Yes, it worked fine for me. Are you looking to upgrade the main SSD or the WWAN SSD? If it's the latter, I got the Western Digital SN520 from eBay. SN530's are incompatible and might fry your board.
