I was loced for eight years and did the loose ends the whole time. I maintained them by just finger coiling the ends with a bit of loc cream until they just curled automatically after a while. Good luck on your journey ✨
Oh wow. What product did you use. I am 6 months in and I just comb them and put moisturizer at the end. It's kind of bushy. Would love to have it eventually maintain a curl.
@@lonniealonzo159 I used the ors lock and twist gel with the three sistas on the front smiling or the Jamaican mango and lime locking gel. I preferred the ors more because there was no scent and it never left a cast or residue.
i'll be two years loc'd in february and i'm actually really glad my curly ends sealed up - the last thing i wanted was the loose ends to be tangling on each other or the other locs (i actually still have this issue despite the mostly sealed ends, a few strands here and there are still reckless), the attracting lint issue, or having them be dry and fried looking from brushing against my clothes all day. i will say though my nape hairs stay escaping from their locs and they remain curly obviously, that's absolutely ALL the hair i ever want to "comb" at this point in the game🤣
I am just seeing this. Im 3.5 yrs always had loose ends and if I see a bud. I popped it right off. I definitely could do better 😂 and comb it out. Anyway I love my loose ends. I spray leave in conditioner on my hair a little extra on my ends and went about my way. Not much extra up keep. Every now and then I would twirl my finger on my ends.
Prettty! Some textures naturally keep the loose curly bohemian look. I think it’s hard to achieve that look on grown locs if it wasn’t from the beginning.
Your locs are gorgeous!! Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful!!!! So full, shiny and healthy looking with lots of lovely texture. They are giving me life girl! You are so right about the curly ends. They definitely require regular maintenance and products to keep them intact and healthy. Finding that out as I try to keep mine and now I'm having second thoughts lol.
I have been following you since you were loose natural, now I am locking my hair (6 months in) I absolutely don't know why I didn't do this sooner. This style is super cute, love it Sis!! 😊🥰
THANK YOU!!! This is EXACTLY what I've been wanting to do. My hair was so curly that now the ends of my locs look like nuggets and I'm not crazy about it. I will try your method. Much Love 💜💚💙
Just like when you were a loose natural, your tips and advice are great and your hair is beautiful. Wishing you all the best on this beautiful hair journey🙂
So so beautiful! I loc’d my hair a little over a year ago and am loving the journey so far. You absolutely right. Maintaining loose ends requires work. I wish I had the patience. It’s so pretty. I can’t wait for my hair to gain more length.
Loooove this Michy. I have been loc'd for 4.5 years and most of my ends are like this naturally. I love this look and yes it is a little more work to maintain but so worth it in my opinion.
I love it 💕! I actually did this with a few of my locs (maybe 6 or 7), simply because of some buds hanging from thinner ends that didn't lock up like the rest. This looks beautiful on your locs!
Hello Millicent, It's so good seeing you again. Your hair looks beautiful as ever and has really grown. All the best to you and your family. Stay safe and well as we leave 2021 and enter 2022.
Happy New Year! I am amazing and i had a heart palpitations when i saw that comb. I thought you were combing them out. I have followed you for a long time prior to locs and i loc’d my hair and you did so right after. I am loving this new look and i cannot wait to see how you like it.
Beautiful Michy! I'm 3 years into my 3rd journey and l'm loving this set. I thought l couldn't love any other set more than my first set but no. Alot of my ends are still curly after 3 years. Happy New Year!!!
I've never had locs or faux locs but I love this look. As much as I love the look of locs I would miss Ms. Fro too much. Faux locs would be a happy medium that I really really want to try.
This is so freaking cute! 😍 I don’t have locs but live vicariously thru you and others! Lol! As cute as this look is I know the loose ends will require more maintenance as they’ll become dry more often! Good luck on your “new” loc journey! Happy New Year! 🎊🎆 💕
Happy New Year to you as well! And you're right! The ends do become dryer quicker, so I just have to find a moisturizer that won't cake up to leave on my ends.🙂
Did something similar to my locs a few months back but I only combed out about half an inch and it’s held up really well. This looks super cute on you. 💜
I love your hair! My hair has been locked since 2018 and my ends are starting to lock. Otherwise I would copy you and do my hair like yours. Your locs are beautiful !
Yay, you're back!!!! ☺ Sis, I legit freaked after the thumbnail 🤣🤣🤣 Thought you combed out all ya locs. This goddess locs look does look cuuuuuute on you 😍. Makes your locs look even fuller. I might try myself after my 2nd year. Just reached 1 year this month and so happy 💪🏾😊
Beautiful, I saw your starter video…did you box color your hair? If so, at what point in your journey? The two strands look so neat and manageable to start.
For future reference spray a water-based detangling spray on your ends just to avoid extra breakage and use something like a metal tipped rat tail comb. Wow 3 yrs your locs are beautiful tfs your progress so far🙂
When I had my locs I had to comb my ends out monthly. It was annoying, but soooo cute! I've since combed them all out because while I loved the locs, I didn't like them on me...I felt masculine with them 😫. Yours are beautiful
I thought it was just ME who wanted my ends like that… It’s how I started my micro locs and I have to redo my ends periodically… Thanks for sharing Queen, I’ve been following you since you were a loose natural…
Hey Millicent, how are you? I'm not sure if you remember me. We went to school together 😃. I know you're loc'd now, however, I was wondering if you do other people's natural hair? If you have time to do so. Is there a way I can message you privately? Thank you and your hair looks amazing!!

How long did you wait to begin finger coils on the ends?
Yea I’m trying this!!!!! They’re so pretty!!! It adds a softer touch to your locs in my opinion. I love them!!

Looks like they were combed out - I am here for it, no matter what !!
The best of both worlds. I love it

Thank you Rhonda!😁🤗💕
I’m one month in on my 3 RD loc Journey i started this time with 2 inches of hair. Your locs are beautiful.
It's amazing on how much we can do with this type of hair texture. Thanks for checking in, all is well with me and family.
I've been trying that and thought i was the only one. It looks amazing on you. Now i see how mine is going to look when it fully locked
Love it! Exactly what I did when I was loud the first time. My hair is way to short and to early to do it. 2nd loc journey ...yaas.
Beautiful…I love the look! I was nervous for a second because I thought you combed out your locs….but had to watch until the end.
Yeaaahhhhh!!!😁🤗
You are a blessed woman, it seems that anything you do is nice!!!!
