i just want to clarify on the odd wording involving damage negation and guard boost. the numbers beside each damage type are the actual percent values on how much damage that shield will negate from each type, and guard boost refers to how much stamina damage you receive when attacked while holding guard. this build would probably work even better with fingerprint despite slightly lower guard boost due to slightly higher damage negeation from other types and slapping no skill so you dont have to swap to two handing for weapon art. you know, for even more potatoe
@Testikleze That sounds right. The rune breaking caught me by surprise when it happened because I didn't know why it was happening but if I play again I will be more prepared for that.
For those trying to get the armor do not do as he says youll just end up killing a npc for no reason screwing u out of what u would have gotten and u will not be invaded so dont waste your time

I used a similar build to beat Radahn, Promised Consort at NG+5 but I used Mohg's Spear for bleed ( and your mimic will do a ton of damage when he uses the spear's skill). You can hold L1 and poke with R1 against him, no need to wait to long for an opening as long as you have enough stamina and dont get too greedy in attacking.
Why oh why does everyone do those near impossible jumps to get down in Moorth Ruins. A bit further east is a building that seems to have sunken in to the ground with the roof at floor level and a little tower. Right to the left of the building is a hole in the ground where you can safely jump down from level to level. All you meet are 3 dogs but you don't risk failing one of the jumps and dying.
This is how I killed the final boss. Well minus the ash of war. Just poked him with blood sword lance and used the new shield that has 84% holy negation(forget what it is named)
Black Steel Greatshield. I found Fingerprint was better. Black Steel Greatshield has 9 more holy resistance but Fingerprint has 20 more magic resistance. Good against his gravity magic. Especially his huge aerial rock sling.
I could listen to you talk all day, love the accent, curious where it's from though, I'm tempted to say Austrian lol great content, great guide. I started using greatshields for the first time in the DLC. I rock the Blacksteel hammer and shield. Unbelievably tanky with the right set up
Almost. Its mix of Baltic CIS accents. Poland, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and i know a bit of German and French. English was my first secondary language in school, and then i never talked it for 15 years until this year;))) so getting used to pronunciations still
I think I missed my chance I killed the caterpillar and npc that drops armor isn't showing up I killed the npc in the church awhile ago. Any chance of still getting armor set?
Yeah, he should be there after you get to caterpillar place again, just rest/teleport few times to reset world and he should be there. Or you'll find him later anyway
Try messmers spear/sword with the shield as can attack from range dealing fire damage also hold meat dumpling and your mim8c has a possibility to heal too 👍
i use a variant of this build on the beginning of the LC for help other people to beat the final boss and it is really good like the guys "let me tank her"
Best one will be vagabond, but technically yoou can be any, it will just require a bit nore levels (im astrologist in this example, so with vagabond this build comes online ~5-10 levels faster)
Okay ive come to the conclusion that palm strike ruined the DLC for me.... cuz I killed every boss with JUST IT in no more than 2 attempts, thats right i killed the final DLC boss on my 2nd try with it =_=

if you went ahead further in the map and saw a message where "a great rune has been broken" or something, Moore's questline will have progressed and be locked out for the rest of the dlc, unfortunately.
Same thing basically happened to me. I talked to him right after the great rune shattered, but I chose the wrong dialogue prompt, so instead of finding his body and armor where that bug is, he's supposed to invade me during a late game boss.

If I'm not mistaken, going anywhere in or near shadow keep (either entrance) breaks the rune and alters quest lines. ✌️

Started the dlc on my ng+7 save and somehow managed to do most of it but that last boss isn't easy, think i will have to go for bleed build up.
Yeah, last boss is insane. It's like they wanted to punish just strength and dex builds...

I saw a build like this that used heavy crag blade instead. But the anime style points are unmatched
I had to resort to using the fingerprint shield and use Scarlet aeonia/black blade for the final boss. Man hes aggressive af lol

Antspur rapier with bleed affinity is great for builds like this that want rot and bleed procs too 😊

You need to shield poke you keep dropping your shield. I beat the final boss in 3 minutes

Better defence, but tombstone is good if you want to use ash of war without swapping to dualweild in combat
