      You are very welcome! If it isnt on the PTS and I dont have to re-farm gear just to get off-traits, its been something I have been enjoying doing lately for people. I've decided I am going to start including that aspect into the build testing/videos if possible regularly since people have been finding value in it.

    0:48 As a Nightblade you don't need to kill the tether adds in Vateshran, you can just use Shadow Image and teleport out. Just in case some of my fellow Nightblades didn't know that. Fun little piece of cheese.

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  7 месяцев назад +1

      Great tip! I used to share that with people when I stream new player arena tutorials until I learned that if someone is struggling with the dps check point of the tether adds, and skip them with nb or sorc ports, the final stage can be extremely difficult for them. Also a word of caution there for those reading through comments and working on their first clear.
      But if you are already cooking and looking for a way to speed things up even more, port skips work great for the tether!

    • @mobspeak
      @mobspeak 7 месяцев назад +3

      @@Dooma It can be difficult but doable, if you got that far you can definitely clear it, the tether part is just unnecessary and deserves to get teleported on. Because F that shiz!

    Man! If only I could have used this build to farm the Soulcleaver set in the IA xD
    I finally got enough pieces to throw it together in its scuffed state, took it for a spin solo against some WB's, and then took it into the IA. I REALLY like this build. The one bar is easy, but still engaging and fun to play; the damage is quite good; and the build is SUPER survivable. This has been so much more fun to play than my heavy attack solo builds. I was afraid that sustain would be an issue without all those heavy attacks, but it's about the same (don't know what voodoo you used to swing that, but I love it).
    Highly recommend this one :D

    If your dps is high enough you wont have to deal with tether adds on vet vateshran in the first place and thats probably the cutoff point you should be aiming for since it makes life so much easier

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Ancanca! That's great advice for people who are ready for that level of proficiency. There is a very large portion of the player base however, where that just isnt on the table yet for them and a more realistic goal of being able to kill the ads reliably, rather than skip the mechanic, will serve more people for this build's intent most likely.
      I have definitely pushed that strat on streams when doing tutorials and whatnot and I actually had to stop and wait for one of the tethers and not push phase to get all the clips, so this build is certainly capable, but I didn't feel this video was the place for that explanation. Great comment for those reading through, thank you!

Unless you are very good, there are some necessary things you will want to have for PvP. For a quick suggestion, I would say almost certainly it would be a better use of your time to farm the gear for a solid 1 bar PvP build you are interested in as a starting point, then dive into PvP. If you just roll into pvp zones in newer player pve gear, you are almost always going to get blown up constantly. There is quite a lot missing from those types of set ups.

I do use sap essence all the time did you test it at all for this? It would get boosted nicely as well been on the Siphoning line.

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  10 месяцев назад +5

      Hi Carlos! Haha awesome, thanks for commenting. When I think about what I like in ESO, Nigthblade is never near the top of the list. However, when I actually play a Nightblade, I end up marathoning NB only for weeks lol. Makes no sense. I did try essence! It's great when there are a lot of mobs with similar health levels you want to burn down like in Skyreach. I found for things like vet arenas, you are usually dealing with less mobs, but beefier. Throwing the Soul/Bow proc combos into them with dots rolling ended up moving things along a little quicker for me, but you can still totally use Sap for lots of places in arenas if you preferred it on your bars for sure. The light armor shield is more of a safety net for players who need that. It's also honestly a nice panic button as well. However, it is also totally not needed when you are comfortable. You can easily drop that for Sap and be good to go.

    hey man, just have to ask, is there a guide to run through infinite archives as nightblade that you have? so that i can collect these pieces

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  9 месяцев назад +3

      Haha, that was the only one I ended pulling the plug on with the build design I was using. The design of the build required each class to bring a specific thing to the table, and the NBs version of that thing, ended up being among the weakest (Not saying the NB is the weakest at all, I am saying for the specific set up I was using for all my builds trying to make it universal across the classes). Then I ran out of time with all the new things going on and never got to circle back and make something different for the class.
      I wouldn't go past Arc 3, MAYBE Arc 4 (see if its a slog, if Arc 4 takes too long, keep it at 3) and then reset on this build if you are farming gear. This build isnt intended for IA at all (its for everything else), and after a few arcs, around arc 4-5 or so, this build will fizzle out completely in IA.

    Any updates or upgrades to this build with scribing or new sets? You're the best!

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  3 месяца назад +1

      Hey there Ryan! I havent checked out this build in a little while. It still is working the same. Two skills you can replace for scribing for any sort of personal preference would be Dampen Magic if you arent doing sweaty enough content where you need to be using the shield and entropy if you arent needing that ramping up healing output by applying it to multiple mobs.
      You could also leave those and replace swallow soul potentially as the spammable with Wield Soul.
      That would give you access to Major Breach for the 3rd script, which can be valuable if needed, you just lose some juice from the Siphoning skill tree passives. Alternatively, you can drop Dampen/Entropy for Weakness to Elements and get the same debuff.

      @Dooma  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there! It's been a while since I had all that worked out. I remember It's a comparable experience. WM is adding 600 spell damage to most of the kit and SC is adding +18% damage & healing to your main spammable (Soul Siphon) and ult. If you are just after flat damage and want to pump out high #s, WM is probably going to pull ahead there. If you are moving a little slower and need a little assistance, you may find SC to be a bit better.

      @Dooma  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Younaverze! Honestly, any of them. Allow me to explain: All of the builds (everyone making decent builds, not just mine, its just the nature of the current game) are performing way way over the ceiling of the content. So there is enormous wiggle room to experiment and also not be as proficient, and still do well. I am sure you have heard "pick what class you enjoy most" before. Everyone hates hearing that. For what its worth, I have been at this a while and have a pretty good track record getting people to improve one-on-one. In most all cases, once I get them to quit chasing the meta or whatever is trendy, and get them to dial into what they enjoy, we get faster gains than anything else. ESO is absolutely THE test case that proves that mentality true. It's an extremely deep game with lots of layers to combat once you really start dialing into it all. When all that noise is FUN for the player, the performance is almost always better.
      All that said and to be a hypocrite to myself 😅, the Arcanist and Heavy Attack Sorcerer is about as simple as it gets (APM wise for the output). There are builds for both on the channel and website. Thank you for watching! www.thegameroom.tv/

      @Dooma  10 месяцев назад +3

      Heyyyy awesome, I am glad the build is starting to work for you a bit, thank you for trying it out! I didn't really have any sustain issues anywhere honestly. One of the tests of that trial boss I referenced in the video that I didn't talk about was testing the sustain there as well. That boss makes you pour out resources keeping up with the damage you are taking, interrupting, dodge rolling, and trying to deal high damage. You get 0 sustain help from Siphoning Spells CP and it going to be at least 10 full minutes with 0 seconds of down time. If there is any hint of sustain issues, its going to come out there. In solo content, you do have to heavy attack here and there as needed just to keep things healthy, but its definitely not rigid at all, it should be super casual.
      You also may have something that is kind of considered "fundamental" wrong that isn't discussed super often much any more in build videos because its just assumed "you should have this." An example of that is being 3/3 of the passive medicinal use from the alchemy crafting line. This is as an important passive as any other combat passive, especially if you have buffs coming from a potion. Being 3/3 gives you 100% up time on the potion buff if you are using them on cool down, and it also has a large impact on sustain.
      (On that note, just in case this is new information for you, generally in pve, unless stated for a build, its (again, "generally") expected you use your potion on cooldown for 100% of the time you are in combat. The exception of this is when you are running tri-pots as there are no buffs to maintain. However, if the build needs the sustain component of the potion, then its necessary to roll it 100% of the time.)
      I hope this helps and thank you for watching!

    Would this build benefit from either a vampire or werewolf bite? I am having trouble finding info on google. I have just finished this build and i love it so ty!

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi IGame! A (very) general rule for pvp: If you can sustain your build without problems, being a vampire for the stage 3 Undeath passive is usually worth it. It is also a bit build dependent and player dependent as well. For example, for a build like this, you are mainly playing super slippery and avoiding damage. In that regard, the sustain hit from being vamp may make things like cloak spams and what not too costly. Which would also bring us to the player ability: are they blowing mag through not ideal cloaks or can they get away cloaking less, but using smarter cloaks? So the answer isnt always "yes" or "no" (again, generally speaking).
      All that said, regarding this specific build, I wouldn't go vamp with it. You dont need Undeath as much as you need the access to spam your abilities here.
      Great question, thank you!

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  10 месяцев назад +2

      Check out my response to "Younaverze" here in the comments (their profile pic is red and green to find it faster.) To ADD to that reply, dungeons changes things a little bit. Since they arent intended to be solo'd, its not a universal experience across them at all, and some are impossible due to mechs. Generally speaking though, for the dungeons that CAN be solo'd easily, what I said to Youn is the current state of the game for solo builds.

      Hi there! First, thank you for the comment and apologies for the super delayed response. 🙏 I am just returning from being out from surgery. The buffs are redundant from Oakensoul. Its primarily slotted for the extra magicka + a passive unused ability. If you prefer another ability to use, it can be treated as a flex spot and replaced as well. Sometimes there is overlap with Oakensoul, and thats totally okay. Just double check your buff list so you arent replacing it specifically for a buff you may already have.

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Dylan! That's definitely going to fall under the "individual experiences may vary" area with player experience/ability. The build itself absolutely does have enough damage for anything in the game that is (meant) to be solo'd.
      The final boss of vet vateshran is the highest dps check point for solo content. The clips at the start/end of the video show it can not only meet that requirement in a few seconds, but also handle big groups of mobs in veteran content as well. Not every build is for everyone, that's certainly the case for me, but, if the build does interest you, it does have the capability to do anything that is meant to be solo'd, easily, once the experience is behind the build. If you just simply need more aoe for things like skyreach or something, you can add that to the bars. Ex: Drop Merciless Resolve for Unstable Ele wall or Razor Caltrops. I hope this helps some and thank you for watching!

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  7 месяцев назад +2

      Hi there! Passives, sustain, and play style. Having the option to play from ranged is very strong for solo content. Also the main spammable for the build, and just general flow of it, accommodates a staff a bit better. It's not the same as sitting in front of a dummy and drilling down to the most min max dps set up. You may even find a staff allows you to do more damage in many scenarios than a more stat dense 2x dagger set up, due to all the general running around in solo content fights. That said, melee set ups are not more "difficult" at all. Both work fine. But the ranged component of it, definitely takes the edge off things, especially considering the spammable.

      Hi Elvincenzo! This build is for everything but IA upper arcs. You can totally run through IA until Arc 5 or so, then you will need to completely adjust into an entirely different set up to really survive. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

      Ty for the response ! Are you planning to make a NB build for higher arcs too in the future ?

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  9 месяцев назад +1

      You are very welcome! I ran through all the class the last quarter of 2023 until about Feb of this year then had to start working on other projects again. I ultimately didnt publish a Nightblade version for higher Arcs because it just wasnt a good experience relative many of the others. I did it on stream for a few weeks and ultimately scrapped it. You can run up to about Arc 8 or so with it, but then it struggles much more than other options. The set ups I used should be in Discord somewhere. I know people were screen shotting the Superstars/Overviews in game and sharing it in channels.
      The TLDR why is: For the way the 1 bar versions were designed, each class was required to bring a specific thing to the table to make it work. The NB's version of that was the weakest option, so it makes the class a bit rougher in higher arcs than others.
      I plan to circle back to ALL of the IA builds in u42 here soon though. Things are going to be changing quite a bit there with builds.

      Hi Xen! This build is for everything BUT the archive (but using the archive class set). Builds like this won't go far into the archive, you need special builds that accommodate the content. If you go to the videos on the channel and scroll back just a few rows, youll see many IA builds on other classes, just to get a general idea of what it looks like for higher end archive set ups for you.
      The NB is the only class I didnt make a specific guide on using the type of build I was using for IA, because it was the weakest one of the bunch by far and I ultimately pulled the plug on it and moved on to other projects.

      Hi Machine! 100% of it. At the end of the video, I show a 12 man trial being solo'd as well as veteran vateshran. Vet vate is the hardest (intended) solo content (outside the archive) and the trial boss solo just demonstrates it has both the defensive and offensive capability to deal with basically anything. The healing and shielding is way way over the top for the solo content in eso , so outside of getting 1 shot from mechs, as long as you are pushing buttons and doing mechs, it should be very simple to stay alive through anything.
      You can always just shift over some attribute points to health if you are more comfortable with a bigger health pool.

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi GHXST! At the beginning, your goal is to get as much leveled (while leveling) as possible. Things are very fluid in ESO. You'll end up almost certainly using multiple weapon types on each character over time. Each time you may be interested in trying something out, if its not leveled, youll have to stop, take time, and go out and level the skill lines, just so you can play it. Versus, getting as much leveled as you can, while leveling, so you dont have to do it later. Keep cycling through skill to level them up, and their morphs, then do another, and another. Overworld and leveling in ESO is very simple. It's not challenging by design. So you have lots of freedom to experiment and play around with leveling things. Basically, try and level everything right now. You may be surprised what hooks you.

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Anarchy! I messed around with it a bit a year or two ago but ultimately moved on. The reason being is because the (relevant) lane for NB bombing is super narrow. There are clear sets, skills, and cp that are the most optimal and its all been done 1000 times over. At this point, if I just went into it blind and put together the best set up I can come up with, it's almost certain the exact set up is in a dozen other places.
      There are some different versions using different ways to set up the bomb, but its all more or less the same stuff, that I have seen anyway (NOT a dig at any creators, it just is what is it. It's why I'm not doing it. There's just not a ton of ways to do it, and people who have tried to get super creative with it, for the sake of creativity, often times end up with a "weaker" set up (not always though!)). I am sure there is some new undiscovered way to have incredibly op bombs, as we find new crazy things daily it seems, but I also don't really have the time to go exploring for it right now with u42 here soon in such a super niche set up. I wish I did though haha. It does seem fun to try and find a new way to do it.
      That said, it's about to be the wild wild west for builds in u42, so if there was ever a time to try and find a new way to do it, it's now. And if you are the Anarchy from PCNA BGs, Id love to see you be the one to do it. I've been caught in your bombs and also flung off the walls from convergence lmao. 💪

      Hi FLERO! If you are doing some of the very very basic trials on normal it will be fine, anything more than that and you are going to want to bring more damage. Even in the basic normal trials, dropping Hexos is probably a good idea, it won't be needed at all.

      Any build in the game is viable in IA up to Arc 4. You can get there naked. Starting in arc 4, you want a build specifically designed for that content.

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  8 месяцев назад +6

      Hi there! I am not ignoring your comments, I have been out recovering from surgery. The person you responded to has been banned. What they said isnt even in line with what is shown in the video and was an obvious attempt to troll the channel (it's a regular thing at this size). Not to mention just generally very disconnected from reality here. One of the nonsense things they said was something about only doing or showing overland content when actually what was shown is the hardest (intended) solo vet content in the game along with soloing a 12 man trial boss (that alone should be immediate credibility loss for them). What made me laugh a bit is there is actually ZERO overland content being shown in the game play section at the end lol. It's actually ALL Veteran Arena content and the trial boss.
      I believe the general activity on this channel regarding player feedback and approval ratings speaks for itself for the value the builds are providing people. I am not in the business of bullshitting people. I have worked hard for a very long time to do the opposite, and I believe generally speaking, the reputation is there to support it. Don't let one misinformed angsty comment muddy the waters for you. Check out all the others from more level-headed people who received value from the build(s).
      Thank you for watching.

      @@Dooma Hey hope you're doing fine man, i dont even know why they would comment stuff like that, that being said, i do find it to be low dps for what people talk about normally, did i see right that you were doing like 23k? Is that all it takes for these kinds of bosses? And also you didnt mention where i should allocate all the champion points in the written guide, is that not important?

    • @joaot1737
      @joaot1737 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@Dooma And also will i be able to get all the best gear with this build to later make your necro build? And do you also have a nightblade build easy rotation that makes over 100k dps?

    • @Dooma
      @Dooma  7 месяцев назад +2

      Context is important for this. You see 23k dps, but that is vs a trial boss, with trial boss defenses, with no additional group buffs, while running around coast to coast, not actually doing damage for much of the time. If you sit in front of a trial dummy, this probably parses (totally random guess mainly for example purposes), maybe 60k? I have no idea honestly. Almost zero solo builds do I actually sit in front of a dummy and focus on pushing up dps. I build them for the content.
      Very specifically to your question about dps, is the 0:41 - 1:00 section of the video. That is the single highest dps check in the game, for solo content that is intended to be solo'd. People struggle with those specific mobs and cant kill them before they reach the center of the room and end the run. That clip showed you every single spawn died just a couple steps after they spawned, all while using 1 bar and just a few buttons, and shrugging off all the damage you are taking in . When it comes to 1 bar builds, anyone who sees that, and is telling you there is a lack of dps in the build, is showing you more about their lack of game knowledge than the build itself. I say that with 0% snark. I've just been at this fore years now and trying to share that there is a mountain of misinformation out there. I've seen whole discords just ping ponging around purely inaccurate information. Try to use a trusted source of info for the game if you can, even if that's not us. Bad info can really ruin potentially really great experiences.
      ---
      The champion points are discussed during the 3:12 time stamp of the video and at the top of the written guide under the blue heading "CHAMPION."
      I hope this helps a bit more for context in general and I appreciate you watching.
