Great video and driving! That rig looks pretty dialed for sure. It’s crazy how good the Sl3d squid inserts are for side hilling and overall crawling.your chassis and skid are Definitely on my radar for the next build. Cheers and thanks for posting 🤙🏻🍻
The video was awesome and that rig can really preform. That last climb you can really tell the 10* on the skid and once that makes it over it’s a done deal with forward weight. Looking forward to seeing more content.
Just heard about you with Exocaged RC. Love that truck. Wouldn’t even know where to start on a build as I have been tinkering around with rtr mostly and vs4-10 kit.
I’ve been wanting to do double bend rear lowers on my stock VRD chassis for a minute now. Given that your chassis has a bit more of an aggressive skid angle, do you think double bend rear lowers would even be beneficial? Blessings man! Love the content and information you provide.
Double bend rear links make the most sense on chassis with angled skids. The less angled the skid the more contact it will make with the rocks on break over. In the video you can see the benefits of my skid especially in conjunction with the double bend links
@@DesertRockCrawler definitely excited for that. Definitely want your chassis that 10° skid babeh! Everyone else is doing 6 and that’s good but 10 would be better
Cameron, I truly enjoy your videos as well as your experience in the crawling arena. I have a VRD Carbon which is my most capable crawler, just above my SCX10 Pro, but not nearly as capable as my Bully2. Totally different crawlers for sure. That said, I want something that's more capable than the VRD. I've been looking at UGRC, Nordic, G-speed and now, your chassis. I built the Pro and VRD kits, but I've never built a crawler from scratch and I'm a bit nervous about getting the components that work well together. I don't recall seeing a Portal axle on the rear with a straight axle on the front before. I assume this gives you a lot of underdrive based on the portal reduction? I really like the double bend links you have on your son's truck as they provide a tremendous amount of clearance. I guess my question is, do you think your chassis and setup will out-perform the VRD? I realize I'm asking you a tough question so if you'd rather not answer in public, I can send my info for a message or text. Thanks again for sharing the awesome crawling area you have as well as the outstanding rigs and component reviews/comparisons.
Reach out anytime about building if you need my assistance. As far as the vrd goes I mention in the video the hinderence with how low the belly hangs on the vrd. The trans with high overdrive and axles with brass are big benefits. To drop in the parts from a vrd into an aftermarket lcg chassis would have better benefits. There are multiple choices for a build . Portals vs straight axles light weight vs heavy etc. There is no correct answer it's all preference and depending on your terrain
@@DesertRockCrawler I’m running the pro 45 straight front and ar45 portal rear. The % is crazy high. Need to go OD helical and portal gear in the rear to make the OD % lower🫥
@@DesertRockCrawler currently running 33/8 front and 27/8 rear, still not enough. Feel like it’s dragging the rear tires when running. Also may I ask how do u calculate the OD%? I’m running a transmission which doesn’t have OD or UD
10 degrees is really good... But i use a 12 degree skid and love it. also been using a narrower tranny skid with 70mm width for more than a year now. another manufacturer is just came out with a setup like mine except still lack luster 6 degree skids, not sure people still use 6 degrees.
They're back ordered. Once I have bug bodies in hand I'll prep them for paint. I'll post on instagram once the bodies are in and I'll start accepting preorders
"My kid's truck" a thing I tell my wife so I can get a new RC. Hehe. Can one mount a Rock Pirates hardline bed on your chassis? I have an RP interceptor chassis with 4WS that I can be persuaded to change. Lastly; what's your shipping to Canada? Thanks
I suggest building a cart to see rates. I have shipped to Canada several times. Customs is the only issue at times. Not sure on the bed. Let me know ow if it fits.
Looks like those dual stage foams are doing just fine. That rig is tuned in!

Nice, I love the chassis rails with the servo options 👍🏾
Those rails do look nice sir. ❤❤❤

Yes from west desert and exo
Love the videos man been starting a mullet myself and was looking at the cheezeburger trans may I ask why you use the hamburger over it
It's what I had laying around

Working on the skid to make it fully possible for a straight drop in

Have you or anyone you know tried the boom racing reverse cut ring and pinion for a mullet build?
That's what's in it. You still have to flip the diff though unless you get the dlux trans that has reverse output. I think it's the hamburger

Hey Cameron, what would it run for one of the Coyote chassis’ kits and a done up Scrocher body? Serious inquiry!
About $140 for chassis, spacers, skid, sliders, winch mount.
Body painted $250. Then you factor in tax and shipping
What overdrive percentage is in this rig? What gear are you using😊
@Bradon881 33%. It's portal rear axle straight front. Stock gears in both I believe. I go over the internals in one of these mullet build videos

Idea, you should print some plug fillers for the skid holes that won'tbe used so she's flush on bottom.
