You can't deny the inspiration of Congolese Rumba Music on this instrumental. It reminds me a lot of the music we had in the 70's from one of our biggest bands, OK Jazz (bandleader Franco Luambo Makiadi). I'm so proud and excited of what is going on in Nigeria in terms of music, so inspiring and uplifting compared to nowadays boring US music, that gradually became more about personas (Travis Scott, Kanye West etc.) instead of skillfull musicians/rappers with stories to tell and messages to convey. This beautiful young woman is clearly the opposite of what is going on there.
This type of instrumental has always been the base of music in Nigeria and Ghana since the 50s, known as highlife music. We share similar traditional musical instruments, thst is why they sound similar. Tell you what, I don't know what Congolese rumba music sound like, it's not popular in West Africa. Makosa we know.
