Maybe they should begin by calculating how many jobs will disappear and how many industries will be affected. Otherwise it will be our “Great Leap Forward” with incalculable damages for the society.

It's excellent to see Greenpeace UK talking about economics and the ecological crisis we are experiencing.
Our obsession with GDP growth, and consumer consumption, is costing us the Earth.
Covid-19 is a symptom of this ecological crisis. As pressure on wildlife, and natural resources, increase we will see further pandemics. The time to discuss the need for change has ended. It is time to start implementing the Green New Deal. One key component must be the immediate introduction of a Universal Income Scheme.
We must ensure that our future energy strategy is 100% nuclear free, as the government are keen to emphasise that nuclear energy is CO2 free and Carbon Neutral. They forget to mention issues such as the dangers, cost, processing the waste and decommissioning. I have heard some politicians call nuclear energy 'Eco Energy'. Organisations such as Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth and Extinction Rebellion must be careful they don't fall for that trick!

It creates employment yes, but you haven’t considered how many will lose their Jobs
Is this 'Green' Economy going to rely on economic growth (consumerism) for the 3% increase in GDP needed to keep our economy ticking over (jobs)? If so, it will will simply continue us on our path to ecocide. If not, how will it reverse our current economic reliance on growth (and achieve much needed Degrowth)? Please be clear about this because it's the most essential sustainability question.

"Ecocide" is yet another clever soft Marxist portmanteau, IMO.

Bob if you watched the video you would realize no sensible thinking person with their own and others interests at heart could disagree with it's message ! So what does your statement actually mean ? Is it I just don't like 'lefty' sounding messages and you don't believe there is any crises at all ?
