  • Today I am showing how I reverse plan our homeschool with a bullet journal! I love how creative I can make the bullet journal and how easy reverse planning is! I am completely new to Bullet Journaling but I am enjoying making it our homeschool reverse planner! Reverse planning has been a lifesaver in this season of the past year of being pregnant and having a newborn all while still trying to homeschool! I love the simplicity of what reverse planning is! I hope you enjoy this video as I show you how I do record keeping in homeschooling for myself!

YES!YES YEs!!! love this so much.... I hated the planner I do not plan I just do the next lesson the next day and let the kids lead on how lone we do each lesson. sooooooo freeing !!!! We do not have to send in to anyone. so I just do not do anything I just keep work in case anyone has something to say I can show our work if anything even needs to be shown. We are so far ahead this year it's the only time I didn't do a plan crazy how it works out. What a great way for you to have a fun creative outlet for you. BY the way love your creativity. We are on book 4 of the Hidden Scrools books.

Love that! That is my goal for our school. What curriculum do you use?

    • @driftingforward

@@Dreblueskies not sure if you were asking me or Her so I will answer just in case. For reading and handwriting, we use The Good and The Beautiful, spelling, grammar, maps/geo. we use Evan Moore's workbooks, My kids ask to do them because friends do them so we do them and I think it's good to have extra practice even though the LA from TG&TB does well so that's just my thoughts. Saxon Math, writing we use Essentials in writing I have a 4th and 2nd graders and we are done with workbooks within 3 hrs max for school, we also do Bible and a few small things for memory --times tables, books of the bible, verse of the week/or month depending on the verse ect.

Thanks Amealya! How cool to let your kids lead the way in the day and on lessons. It really is nice to give myself the freedom to simply reverse plan! Thanks so much for sharing how freeing this type of planning is for you and thank you for watching!

It sounds like you have a really fantastic lineup for your schoolwork and how awesome it doesn’t take too much time out of the day! Saxon is strong math I actually used it some when I was in jr high!

So cute!!! I love that you're not a perfectionist because I am and man does it hinder me! I bought some stuff to do bullet reading journal a few months ago, but haven't started yet.

Thanks Sarah! I was really intimidated to start one and it took me a while to actually decide to do it! I am enjoying it obv. keeping it really simple which is great for me!

I also keep records just for me in a blank journal. I do slightly more 'artistic' bullet journaling for more long-term lists that I like to keep, but my homeschool book is more simple....you're kind of making me think I might want to bullet journal about homeschool when the boys are older. I like how you showed how you adapted your weekly pages over time--I think it's smart to not create your weekly layouts in advance until you really figure out what's working for you.

It’s been fun to do so far! It’s simple enough to set up once a week yet a bit of a creative way for me to keep track of things. That’s awesome you have been bullet journaling, I’d like to do a bullet journal just for myself too!
      Thanks for watching girl!
