He was a master writer. How many issues did he touch on in this? Poverty, incest, drug addiction, drug selling, abandonment, prostitution etc etc?All summarized in one abbreviated verse!? That's what I loved about Tupac. He understood the power of a simple truth. In a way made simple & clear. He processed all the complexities, cooked it up, and made it easy to digest.I see the essence of a true humanitarian in that. Most rappers take simple subjects & try to make them seem complex.Just too purely get intoxicated on fancy wordplay & metaphors. That's fun, but with Pac, there was a deeper purpose behind his works.I always laugh when all the "backpack" Hip Hop purist dismiss Tupac as a "Non lyricist".It would serve them better to proudly embrace him. When you have an artist that powerful in your midst, it legitimizes the art form.Nobody has ever been able to replace what he brought to the game.I don't think we'll ever see a Hip Hop artist that brilliant ever again.
Some of the people from the movie he was doing helped make this music video because the record company didn't want him to put this out he added this song to his first album
Love when Jon says “ Imma needs moment”..😊…this is a deep song and message..Tupac was always reading the newspaper and watching the news..he saw this true story and wanted to make people aware of things like this that goes on..this song made it all the way to DC…laws were changed..people on the welfare system had to get regular visits to the home to do welfare checks on kids..teenager getting pregnant by 18 or older could now be a crime..also, schools had to keep track of kids skipping school cause they want teachers to notice their students and even ask questions if they believe any physical are sexual abuse was going on..this song made the greatest hits albums and was number one for a long time
A sad fact to original story is that Brenda was living with her cousins because right before her whole family died from gas poisoning from heating the house with oven, stove. Brenda only survived because she was in back bedroom with door closed.
Happens all the time it amazes me that people don’t know. These young girls get pregnant they are not educated shit they are babies ! What are they going to? How they going to make money? Not too many options. Sell drugs or your body or both.
Ur voice is so soothing plz do more talking videos
