I'm also considering a proper flute Mic instead. She currently use her vocal Mic (SHURE Beta58A) since she plays and sings.

So a flip head is a flute with a sax neck and mp?
Not at all! The Fliphead is a curved flute neck with a recorder-like mouthpiece. Give it a shot, it's fun to play!🙂👍

i don't understand what the hell is that flute, I've been playing flute for about 25 years, and never saw a weird flute like that one.

See the Fliphead as an alternative in sound and playability. It’s not there to replace a normal head joint, it’s just an option and honestly a very comfy one for woodwind doublers like me.😉👌
Basically, it’s a fipple flute “head joint “. Great for reed doubler’s whose primary axe is not the flute. Very very good intonation. You can purchase only the head joint or a head joint plus flute. Definitely try it!!
So how long did it take for you to sound good on the fliphead? Just purchased one because I struggle on flute.
great question! For me as a saxophone player, I instantly had a great time playing the Fliphead. Actually, this video was recorded after maybe 15 minutes of play testing.🙂👌 if you struggle on a regular flute head joint, you'll love this one! Let me know what you think once you've played on it!✌

Sehr schön! Ich spiele auch verschiedene Instrumente, darunter auch Blasinstrumente. Ist es schwierig, diese Flöte im Video zu spielen? Erfordert es eine spezielle Blas-Technik, außer dass man die Finger richtig platziert? Bläst man ähnlich wie bei einer Blockflöte oder ähnlich wie beim Saxofon oder ganz anders?

Den Fliphead spielt man wie die Blockflöte, du wirst damit keine Probleme haben. Er wurde konzipiert, um den Einstieg auf der Querflöte zu erleichtern, eine entspannte Haltung zu haben und als interessante Klangoption. Unbedingt ausprobieren!😜✌️
@@danielsteigledermusic Vielen Dank für die Info. Ja, bin sehr interessiert daran, es zu testen. Welches Anfänger-Modell ist zu empfehlen? Las von einer Preislage von etwa 150 bis etwa 600 € ?! Weiß nicht, welche Probleme ein Billig-Instrument haben kann? Schlechterer Klang? Mechanik-Probleme oder andere Gründe? Würde vermutlich bei Thomann bestellen oder in einem Musik-Geschäft probieren, irgendwo in der Nähe im Raum Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Wiesbaden.
@@DieterLo1 Eine ordentliche Querflöte kannst du sicher bekommen für um die 500 €. Leider kann ich dir kein Geschäft in deiner Region empfehlen, da ich südlicher wohne im Raum Mannheim - es gibt aber sicherlich kompetente Musikfachgeschäfte bei dir!
Der Fliphead selbst ist mittlerweile auch direkt bei thomann erhältlich. Viel Freude beim Ausprobieren und lass gerne mal was hören!=)
@@danielsteigledermusic Ja, habe schon einiges zu diesem Thema gelesen. Bin zurzeit noch dabei mit 2 Blockflöten Verbesserungen zu erzielen. Beschäftige mich mit vielen Musikinstrumenten.

Lieben Dank! Das ist ein King Super 20 Tenor, die wurden damals mit Silber-S-Bogen gebaut.

They are not cheap these fliphead mouthpiece costs 279 dollars.
That's the deal with music gear, isn't it?😉 I can only speak for myself: I think they are incredibly well-crafted and I'd definitely pay for it again.👌
$270 is pretty cheap, in the grand scheme of things. It’s an instrument. You want it to sound like shit or be able to play it in 10 years?
