I am 68, and I started on jazz flute when I was a teenager. After studying for 30years I was at this sort of level - but then contracted a neurological illness which makes playing flute extremely difficult, so I know what you mean. I can still imagine the phrases and lines just as I used to - but the fingers and embouchure no longer deliver reliably.
something i've learned in jazz is that the longer the solo, the harder it is to create the beginning-to-end tension and final resolution. In other words, solos can become boring if you 'show your hand' too soon. This is some incredible stuff right here. Legend status does not seem impossible from what i've seen here...
