It helped me a lot, thanks sir.
Thanks for watching!
Keep putting this message out there. There are so many bad actors in the media exemplifying bad mic techniques. Yet because they are admired, many will emulate their mic techniques over following best practices.
Thanks for watching!
So true. It has become commonplace for singers, newscasters, comedians, and public speakers to block their mouths with the mic. That was a no-no twenty years ago. Now no one cares, and it’s a shame because it’s really easy to fix.
Thank you this helped me a lot!

@ i liked it because it showed many different styles, and the pros and cons of all. I was taught the mic to chin tactic, and I was wondering why does not everyone use it, and this video gave me the answer!
Really helpful ❤

Holding against your chin while recording sound is not the best idea, all tiny sounds of rubbing the mike against the chin / beard will be heard and needs cleaning up in post. Not the best idea, unless you're not recording your gig.
It depends on the environment. In the comedy club we can definitely tolerate a bit of scratching, so long as people can hear the performer correctly. If you're recording, you probably want to use a mic stand anyway.
