Great Song and great lesson Dave man you are looking fit and trim Glad to see you looking good Happy Holidays Dave thanks for all your great content on RUclips.
Thanks Dave for another great lesson of one of my all time favourite songs. Little bit above my skill set but maybe by december 24th 2022. Happy holidays to you !
Great lesson, handsome-I mean, Dave. Looking good, boss! I love your innate sense of rhythm, which makes your lessons even more enjoyable to watch and learn. Merry Christmas, Dave, to you and yours!
What a great song, a blast from the past. Can’t wait to learn this. Thanks for the nice Christmas present Dave. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thanks for this lesson. The best explanation I've found. The intro/interlude is the tricky part of the song. Typical Rundgren composition where he overlays a different low tone over a chord. It gives the chord so much more of a rich tonal quality overall.
Dayum! After hearing the intro, I figure if you have to play a charity event with Todd Rundgren and suggest playing this - you'll get the kibosh like with Duran Duran Ordinary World. 😆 Guy, will say "not even I play this anymore".
Probably Rundgren's best song, although he wrote a lot of good ones. Still working on the C/Bb transition , but Ill get there. Thanks so much for the accurate lesson.
What I do with the C/Bb chord is to lay my finger over the D, G, and B strings at the 5th fret, outlining a C chord in A formation. The Bb is easily accessible on the low E string at the 6th fret.
Those are some crazy Todd Rundfeen chords, alrighty. Great tune, great lesson Dave. And fyi, that “capo tap” at 1:15 was very reminiscent of Orson Wells’ “bottle tap” from the legendary Paul Masson spots. Y’know, each bottle is vintage-dated, like the finest French champagnes. Merry Xmas! 🎄🥂🍾
OMG ! You sound exactly like the original, and you've showed us the chords I never find anywhere!
Eres cojonudo !
Great song! Beautiful chord changes
Merry Christmas❄️

Maybe some Seals and Croft
I've done Summer Breeze, Get Closer, and Diamond Girl from Seals & Crofts
Good lesson. My goodness, that’s a lot of chords. Are you giving the Collings Christmas Day off :)

That's exactly what i am paying homage to. I do it in every video. Ahhhh the French.
Merry Christmas
Gostaria de saber se as cordas do seu violão é aço ou nilon?
Hope you can add an illustration of the finger positioning of the chords.
great job... didn't know Rundgren was involved in writing this.
Utopia recorded it
England Dans version is very good but check out Foxes and Fossils cover too!
what about doing Todd Rundgren's - Real Man
Great stuff as always my man!!!....this is when people knew how to write real songs...what happened?!?!
Not by England Dan & John Ford Coley, they did a cover, but anybody that knows music would recognize Todd Rundgren's complex chords.
It's one of the first things i say in the video, but i am teaching the version England Dan and John Ford Coley did.
"Hyper correct"? 😄 That's a good one. degrees of correctness.
And to think it's a common term that I didn't make up and you are just hearing it for the first time.
