These films that are cancelled can be heartbreaking. I was an extra on a film called Vampire Wars, where I got to work with Robert Englund. Principle photography was completed, but when he special effects company wanted more money, the film company elected not to do post production, so I never got to see a frame of it.

Two films you should have on your list are: 'Shortcut To Happiness' (2001), based upon the book 'The Devil And Daniel Webster' which languished on the shelf for many years but was eventually released to cinemas in 2007. The reason: Financial difficulties caused the film to go into receivership, and the government shelved the film. It starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin (who also directed it). Then there is 'The Fantastic Four' (1994), produced by Roger Corman, this film starred Alex Hyde-White as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Rebecca Staab as Sue Storm-Richards/Invisible Woman, Jay Underwood as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, Michael Bailey Smith as Ben Grimm and Carl Ciarfalio as The Thing and Joseph Culp as Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom. It was shelved by the film company and Marvel who were in negotiations to have a higher quality film made, which eventually turned out to be the 2005 release by 20th Century Fox. The studio did not want to "cloud the waters" with a low budget release, so decided to shelve it. It too did the convention circuit for years until after the disaster that was the 2015 reboot movie, where upon the Corman film suddenly found release on DVD and BluRay. There is another two Marvel projects that have to date never seen the light of day. The first is 'Marvel's Most Wanted', this was a completed pilot television movie that was shelved and never released, which was a spin-off from the 'Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.'' television series and starred Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood, two very popular characters who were removed from the AOS series just for this spin-off, which essentially killed their characters off altogether. Then there was a Movie/television pilot made of the Marvel team of characters called 'The New Warriors'. It was supposed to be a sitcom style series, 30 minutes in length, and although a pilot film was made (according to some sources) it was shelved when Disney/Marvel began terminating all their outside MCU series and projects due to the launch of what eventually became Disney+. The team was going to consist of Milana Vayntrub as Doreen Green / Squirrel Girl, along with her squirrel TippyToe, Derek Theler as Craig Hollis / Mister Immortal, Jeremy Tardy as Dwayne Taylor / Night Thrasher, Calum Worthy as Robbie Baldwin / Speedball, Matthew Moy as Zach Smith / Microbe, Kate Comer as Deborah Fields / Debrii, and Keith David as Ernest Vigman, a character who would have become the series' version of MODOK. Neither of these two pilots has even been seen outside of the studios making them. I am hopeful that they will eventually find release. Relating to DC Comics, There was the much publicised Wonder Woman TV pilot movie (2011) starring Adrianne Palicki (yeah she gets about), which was shelved for whatever reason..., and then there was a college/university stage play made of Wonder Woman, featuring Brooke Shields as the titular character, which was supposedly filmed either on VHS or by a cheap cinecamera, that has never actually seen the light of day. Several photographs from the play exist, but of the filmed version there is no news. Speaking of plays, a play was made of Terry Pratchett's novel 'Nation' which was performed live on satellite around the world. There is a snippit somewhere on You Tube, but of the full play there is no sign. Great video, by the way, but it could be expanded upon.

I'm glad they cancelled Batgirl. The casting of Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon was pointless and nonsensical race swapping of yet another classic redheaded/ginger character. There are several very capable actresses that could have played that role perfectly that actually looks like the character from the comics. Abigail Cowen and Madelaine Petsch, just to name a couple. The Batgirl suit also looked like bad cosplay. Leslie Grace revealed a picture of the high tech Batgirl suit from the end of the movie, and it also looked like bad cosplay. That movie never seeing the light of day was for the best.

Spider-Man vs. Kraven the Hunter (1974)... I'd never heard of this before. You say it was filmed on 16mm Film, but that "the only copy" was on his PC and that was destroyed, but what happened to the 16mm film version? Even if he had it transferred to digital (ie. his computer) then the 16mm film must still exist. The man was a film-maker, and if he's a good one, as you say he is, then it is likely he kept the film stock in case he ever needed to make another copy. That is logical. So where is it? Likely stored in his personal effects or at a storage unit (a good archivist will always store his film stock in several locations so as to avoid the chance of destruction by accident (ie. acts of god.. fire and rain etc.). Why is it nobody is protecting these things?
