A towel or crackers is enough. tell them you work on cars and if they need anything car related, you are happy to help. apologize for having tatoos, and tell them you are not in a gang. Also, dont work on cars at night. people are stressed and making noises ar night will cause problems.
This seems like alot, but may be very helpful. Ive been here a kong time and youd be suprised how much first impresssions can help. Neighbors can really help and they will love you if you show some love first. They might be jerks ttoo, its best to find out quickley. They probably wont answer the door
