Awesome review! I have the OG version and love it. Love the bottle pocket upgrades on the new one. The greenish color is my fav so I don’t think I’ll be upgrading yet, but I’m glad I have this new model to look forward to once I’m ready to retire my current one
This really reminds me of the Fjallraven Raven packs, specifically the 28 liter version. They’re in their second edition now so much improved over previous versions and a delight to interact with. Zippers so smooth you can use them one handed, premium feel etc. The few things that would set the Lander Commuter apart would be -hydration bladder compatible. Actually surprised they didnt add this. -shorter in length. 21 inches is a no go for me. My max is 18. The ravens keep it at or below that length. 21 in. limits the user compatibility in my opinion! -a higher visibility lining like you mentioned. medium Grey is the sweet spot for me. The Raven packs have this executed perfectly. -more color options. Dark grey is my personal choice, like fjallraven’s Basalt colorway. What the Fjallravens lack of course is a sternum strap and elasticated water bottle pockets, they also are not hydration compatible. All this being said I would still absolutely pick up the Lander commuter as a motorcycle pack, if it just fit a shorter torso length. I’m surprised it’s not being marketed for motorcycle use, since it has a “crash pad” built in already lol. But pretty sure that’s a safety feature that would need to be DOT compliant etc. Nice review. Nice pack 😎
love the detailed review! And I'd agree on everything. The pack is pretty narrow and smaller than it appears. Would like higher visibility and more colors for sure. A motorcycle pack would be great, especially to fit the aesthetic. I'll have to try Fjallraven's Raven pack...it's been on my list to review for a while, but haven't gotten to it yet. So backed up! I have like 8 reviews scheduled to come out with more in process.
I’m surprised there’s no real admin section. I agree about the look of the angled zipper on the front of the bag. Disappointed about the change of color especially since there’s probably about another 100 black bags one could go with.
Thanks for the comment. What do you mean about Admin section? Like a tech organization area? And yea, I know black may appeal to more people technically, but who knows, this bag may sell worse because now it has dozens of competitors.
damn, that sucks to hear. Glad you got your money back. Where in the inside did it rip? thats pretty odd. I also used the last version and it held up pretty well.
@@EDG Mine ripped as well after less than year in the interior where the handle meets the top of the laptop section. They replaced it with the new version though and it seems much better reinforced there and overall more durable.
@@EDGit’s the main reason why I watched your video. The site doesn’t show a picture of the back so I couldn’t tell and it didn’t mention it in the features. But from your video it was pretty clear!

thanks man! Yea I feel the same, huuuuge fan of the original green, but these bottle pockets were must haves for me. enjoy!
Great review. Thank you

@@EDG Yes, better organization.
@@CaryDeanmakes sense. The organization could have been better
I think the new version looks much more presentable for urban use.
Agreed, it fits much better in the city. Just sad they had to get rid of the old version for this one to live.
The last version ripped in three places on the inside in the first 2 weeks of barely using it. Luckily they refunded me 100%.
