Nice floating shelf. I've never done a floater. I usually buy steel plumbing pipe with caps and mounting rings. Not hiddrn but gives a nice rustic look to shelves. i use the pole type brakets for floating shelf drill hole in to the shelf slide the shelf on to the pole once fixed to the wall.
