Last year I showcased an Enter the Dragonfly mod in development! Created by Ghostie and InfinateXtremer with help from others, they sent me an update which shows off the Dragon Realms, plus exclusive screenshots of Monkey Monastery & Banzai Speedway! Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a platform video game developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision. It is a collection of remasters of the first three games in the Spyro series: Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. The game was released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 13, 2018.

If the publisher didn't think that rushing a new developer working on new hardware the same way they rushed Insomniac to make Spyro 3 on the old engine would produce a game of the same quality, and didn't interfere with the development so heavily, it would have been like this.
Not HD of course, but consistent frame rate, more levels, better character models, and a proper story.
And this will happen!! :))
Actually ETD is for PS2, so at that time it was impossible. But now the beauty is possible. 😍
Tbh the level design still sucks even though the game looks great with the Reignited engine

This much care and talent being put through a mod is actually making this look like it'll be the definitive way to play EtD. It's literally on the level of Reignited, without any need for an "official" remake at all. Just a phenomenal job!!
They should get payed proper money for that. Like a developer studio would.

Enter the Dragonfly had the potential to have been such a good game. It was supposed to have Gnasty Gnorc and there were apparently going to be 3 worlds as opposed to one. Unfortunately the game was rushed and was a glitchy mess when it came out
A three world ETD would have been so much better. Heck, having the speedways actually be portals in the homeworld would have been better too. Because the speedways always felt part of the existing levels, which were already large.
Yes,I agree,when I played enter the dragonfly, seeing Ripto, I was confused,and not to mention his lackey’s coming,now talking?, I was like, what!?, then going through other worlds, then completely them, then suddenly,I get to Ripto and defeating him already!?, I’m like, wait!?!, that was it!?, then I got disappointed!, and never want to play this game again,
Now seeing this, it really brought my hopes up,
The redemption the game deserves 😭
I've often dreamed of Spyro being perfect in it's own way. And this is a display of perfection in the making.

I would love to see Enter the Dragonfly get a second chance. It had some interesting ideas but it was rushed by Universal.
I think that a remake of EtD (and a remake of Wrath Of Cortex) would be great for the fan base.
This is dope! I've always felt that EtD, while it's not a good game, did have some cool concepts and levels. I personally like all the levels in EtD with Honey Marsh being one of my favorites. As well as good levels we got an awesome OST by Copeland and a few others. These guys have done a great job so far and I'm so excited to see more.
The levels always looked decent, but a huge issue was the massive corridors and oepn spaces that felt like they existed because thjey needed to. Honey Marsh in Reignited style has the potential to look blow-away.
@@CrystalFissure Very true. Jurassic Jungle instantly comes to mind when I think of levels with far too much open space. And yea Honey Marsh in the Reignited style would look phenomenal.
Who knows how it would be if they had enough time for this game.
@Wadsy Replaying it at 60fps on Dolphin I think all the levels are solid Spyro levels tbh the weakest one in the game I'd say is Crop Circle Country it's just a completely broken mess with the floor disappearing, enemies basically breaking, being able to clip through stuff with the headbash including the platform challenge etc. It's just a bit of a mess you can see why they were originally going to cut the level from the game after it was one of the first they put together (I do like the theme, atmosphere, graphical attention to detail and environment though it's not a "bad" level just broken.)
@Wadsy Fair enough I like both those levels, I like Crop Circle Country as well I just find it really buggy if it didn't have so many glitches and issues as well as the awful UFO challenge it'd be up there

Honestly, that brief underwater section looks better than the underwater parts in Reignited. But, that might just be because the blue filter is a bit overbearing.
Either way, this looks really awesome and is actually making me appreciate the original EtD a bit more. That game did have a lot going for it and some great environments that just got overshadowed by the bad stuff.
Exactly. There's so much that they've done with this that makes ETD look good. I think it helps that Reignited's style isn't overly flashy, but it works.

I played Enter the Dragonfly on an emulator last year with a speedhack that allowed the game to run in full 30fps with 1080p graphics and it was actually really fun.
This mod looks like its going to be even better than that, I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes
I played it not so long ago on a Dolphin emulator in 4K 60fps. 😎
Yep. Enter the Dragonfly is a really good game (in fact I myself prefer it over Spyro 1 and 2), but sadly it was rushed out because of Universal's demands.

i only just heard about this mod a few days ago, and i cannot BEGIN to explain how excited i am aaa. enter the dragonfly is one of my favourite games ever, and it's sooo cool to see it being remade like this :3
i'm especially excited to see how they handle honey marsh, that's by far one of the coolest looking levels in any spyro game imo
This is beautiful. I don't mean to say this to get your project irrelevant or shut down, don't get me wrong, but I really hope Activision sees this and remakes enter the dragonfly in the same vein they did reignited trilogy.

Boy have I been waiting for this I absolutely adore this game and want to see it at it's full potential oh and by the way that hole in the wall could be the entrance to Enchanted Forest because that's where the entrance to it was initially supposed to be in the hub world
Glad to finally to finaly see level mods for this game, that's most of my dissapointments when new console ports come to pc or some new games are realeased for pc, that mostly only skin and model mods will come to that game but this seems to be when it is first released. Becuae of this I kind of get the thought that it is impossible or at the very least very hard to make custom levels for that game. But now that think of it, it might also have to do with lack of motivation. So thank you @CrystalFissure for taking your time and making this. I look forward to play this when this does gets released. Just also very thankful great projects like this shows up out of nowhere in my recomendations.

There will be a public release, and when it's clear to do so, I'll advertise when it will be done. They've done a lot more in the back end that we haven't seen yet!

This is just beyond GORGEOUS! And OMG! The castle, but the castle in the actual game was blue and white, but you did a beautiful job with it, making it match the one from Reignited's Spyro the Dragon! I looked at the Enter the Dragonfly in the back of the boxart and I was pretty upset that the actual interior of the castle was boarded shut after the Year of the Dragon festival. I ALWAYS was curious and I let my mind roam, thinking of the possibilities of what could be inside of that castle. It wracked my brain for DAYS. Heck, I tried constantly trying to get into that castle with millions of ideas, but to no avail. Even if this is a remake of Enter the Dragonfly, you did absolutely WONDERFUL!

I wouldn't mind playing a remade version of Enter the Dragonfly. The PS2 copy I have didn’t work well in my console for some reason so I never finished the game and I think I would've enjoyed it a lot more if it hadn’t had all those problems it had.

The coins are so fitting to Thieves Den, the fodder that are appeared in The Dragon Realms are resembling to the level's fodder like lizards from Jurassic Jungle.
Hopefully Activision doesn't take this down

I actually have owned two copies of Enter the Dragonfly and they've never really glitched, funny enough. Despite the game's flaws, I still love it, and I think it had some great graphics and level designs most of the time, along with one of the best, most underrated game scores I've ever heard. Would love to play this mod.

It'd be pretty herculean task if taken on, especially if trying to adhere to it's more open-world nature. Hopefully figuring that out wouldn't be too difficult.
