One of my favorite things about being on this planet at a time when most things are upsetting and unpleasent is the music of Anthony Phillips. To have the opportunity to listen to this music in real time seems like a glimpse into a higher realm of existance. Thanks ANT.
Anthony Phillips always manages to bring tears to my eyes. Probably the most talented and heartfelt member of Genesis and that says a lot about that group with its incredible line up.
Did you realize that only 14 people have watched this on Anthony Phillips & Andrew Skeet's personal topic? So sad, that only a handful people enjoy this ...
MrDodgedollar - Anthony Phillips the Neo Classical artist, I mean following his departure from Genesis he learnt 12 string Classical guitar and then became a teacher of Classical guitar so, yes you are correct he is in the same class as the old time composers of hundreds of years ago.
@momozo96 can never tire from these wonderful sounds. I think one night I had it on loop the entire night and fell alseep to it. Thought it was about time I uploaded this ( and part 1 too :)
I also knew about this for a few years, but only recently it hit me with full force, or did it gently tickle my soul? I don't know, but it seems one needs to be in a certain mood, have the right sensorial channels open to receive the full beauty of this work.
Genesis '69 to '76 were and remain a unique band. Along with Peter Gabriel Ant is the modern day Mozart, Schubert and this album proves that uniqueness of the early Genesis years.
Absolutely! Some of the most exquisite music that was ever produced belongs to that group of people who formed the first 2 incarnations of Genesis. Whether they performed together or separately or in any combination that included 1 to 6 of them.
Yes, I listened to this countless times... That was back in 1993 or 1994. I finished my Masters Degree in 1994. I think: we’re still trying to figure out if that’s when I officially finished with the requirements for the M.A. I believe now that it was in 1994.
Fantastic, this is incredibly atmospheric, combined with that very '90s sound. 2:15-9:23 That oboe and saxophone sound is heavily heard in a lot of '90s & early '00s TV music.
I took 2 parts from the Bonus Material to create an alternating Version of it: at 14:17 No Way Out (Alternate Mix) is replacing the original part at 21:13 Lenta Chorum is replacing the original part ruclips.net/video/VM5Xjb_GJZA/видео.html

This is very...nice and...contemplative...ambient background noise. No slight to Ant in my opinion. All this album needed was Hackett on guitar...maybe Jon Anderson on vocals to create some melodies to hang lyrics from...?

I want more people in my life who appreciate the beauty in this....

Slow Dance is the best album in the known universe. I love it !

I'm listening to this video while looking at an old train yard and think of the days gone by. The breeze feels good today
I would put Anthony Phillips right up there with the classical composers throughout the ages; certainly in the wake of this fine album.

Well said. I certainly agree.
It is safe to assume that any "thumbs downs" are mistakes.
Ron502008 There’s no question about that.
Haven't heard Slow Dance in about 40 years glad to have found it again.
This whole song really is freedom in it's purest form. So glad I found this.
Intro and Outro of Part 2 are really... incredibly beautiful!
Thank you for the upload again

Listened to some classical orchestra music and started thinking about the part at 3:52 ... love that!
Siempre me tomo un descanso mental escuchando la parte 1y2 de esta maravillosa creación del genial Anthony ....Un lujo para los oídos...

Tocar com a alma, nao é para qualquer um,parabens por este belissimo trabalho Anthony, obrigado
A bit dull and then at 14:19 - just the most fantastic piece of music I've heard for years - should have been a standalone track.
Left me with chills.
Incredible work! Ant is really a fantastic composer!
darkfakt He still is: he released a new recording recently.
I have been searching for this! Thank you!!!.
Ça rouleee. 🙀😊
Dommage qu'il n'ai pas continué avec Genesis .... Très agréable et plus !!💙🌹
Freedom..
And how did this manage to find one disliker?
Sounds like the soundtrack to an extinct Epcot ride

Как говорил альтист Данилов: «Музыка за душу берет»
As the violist Danilov said: "Music takes a shower"
ладно...music takes a shower если шо это музыка принимает душ
