  • Princess Zhao of Pingyang was the daughter of the Tang dynasty’s founder (Emperor Gaozu). She was a notable historical figure in ancient China who played a key role in helping her father establish the Tang dynasty by raising an army of women to fight alongside his troops, which was very different from what people expected women to do at that time.

Thank you for telling the Princess' story. She accomplished so much in her short life. The Tang dynasty saw the rise of many talented individuals. Thank you again.

She was a badass. I love it when I learn about women that didn’t allow their sex to hold them back especially time like that.

Great story. She reminded me of hua mu lan a han dynasty woman who didn’t have a brother but had to disguise herself as a man to stand in for her father and help general shang with the upcoming battle.
She also didn't allow the role of her gender to stop her, she broke out from the stereotype fought battles and brought honor to her nation and family. Good story
