    The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue.. it has been one of my favorite books so far this year. Other honorable mentions include Something From Tiffany’s, and right now I’m reading The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride.. I feel like I’m really gonna end up enjoying that one as well

    A Love song for Ricki Wilde is one of my favorite books from this year. Small Worlds is such a beautiful book. I’m reading Kennedy Ryan’s new book as well.

      @shivon.monique your right on point. I'm on chapter 10. At first I had a slow start and then things got interesting when she ran away amd started experience life on the streets. It's also sad as you mentioned bc the justice system and the mistreatment she experienced being incarcerated. I did become enraged that she had to experience that treatment especially being pregnant.

    Hey sis I hope you are doing well, I know my question might be out of. Context but I was wondering do you recommend me to have braids on my Locks, from your point of view? Thank you.

    • @riturner
      @riturner  2 месяца назад +3

      no worries, you’re fine. I personally would not recommend putting braids over locs if your locs are not mature. but on the other hand, i see people do it all the time and it doesn’t seem to negatively affect their locs/progress. I just have not/would not put them over mine. I did once and it felt very heavy and felt like it was straining my roots/edges. I took them out immediately. however, take my opinion with a grain of salt + as you see fit. everyone’s loc journey is so different. wishing you all the best, my love. 😊

    The internet frontier.
    The conglomerating.
    Thank you for sharing and like redeveloping mental health narratives. also trying to navigate well what is a good foundation to do things and it does have to do with what is relationships.
    Like and that is a whirlwind.
    Like I sort of finally feel like having the effort to think about like what is my culture and it’s like complicated cause people have this stereotype that Asians are mellow which is not not true but also my father was awful and nobody in my family did anything. So like I have no idea what use is mellow if I don’t even know what my dad is. And China is just like a weird country. Like y’all they can’t say anything. Like why.
    In any case, like love the whole new frontier of content. The podcast is soooo good. Like sometimes it’s better than going to psychotherapy.
    Also I know I know I do have a book recommendation. Morgan Parker’s new book is so good. I think it’s called you get what u pay for a book of essays. I read it in like two days. Amazing. 🌊❤️🌊
