Glad they kept Frank alive. Lamar's actor had legal problems at the time so they decided to scrap it. Also they made an amazing online DLC about Franklin!
I mean death wish has been confirmed to being Canon Trevor Phillips has been mentioned Byron as well as Chen son as well as translator still alive despite the fact that they got blown up (assuming gold rank is canon)
For Father/Son, it would’ve been really cool if failing to save Franklin gave you a special rescue mission to get Franklin out of wherever those guys take him to
I always wished Micheal could get his boat back. Like maybe we get some side missions as franklin where he tries to get intel on where the boat is and when he finds out he calls micheal and they go get it. But the final mission wouldve been optional so you could play it even after you get Trevor and he comes along and and Micheal explains what happend and in the ebd Trevor goes *"I knew you got old but a you got a FUCKI*G boat just to sit and smoke on! Thats the definition of old!! You fat old prick" But he helps anyway cause hes trevor
In Kill Trevor: if you DON'T shoot, Michael gonna shoot instead. In Kill Michael: Michael gonna die in the two options. But if you try to save Michael, Franklin will end the game with broken nose. But if you let Michael go, his nose won't broke.
The minor turbulence mission also features the dodo plane easter egg.. after you crash the plane the wings get clipped off just like the gta3 plane that wasnt suppose to be flyable
To me, what makes GTA 5 one of the greatest video games ever made (if not the best game), is the fact that you literally discover something new about it every single day
So does witcher 3 a channel called xletalis is still find stuff in the game since 2015, and I personally would give both the title of best game ever made
When I first played the game, because option C said deathwish, I thought Franklin would die. Because of that I chose Trevor. He seemed to be more expendable to me at the time. Turns out what I thought was actually correct!

Having Lamar as a playable character would be cool, but well killing Franklin is also horrible. The thing is if GTA 6 comes out there might be some references from GTA 5 online characters who are still all alive like Lamar, Lester, Michaels family, like probably only people we won't see is Michael and trevor as some choose them dead but other characters who wouldn't die either way could be mentioned or even appear, like some GTA 4 characters appeared

I think it's a shame that not following the instructions in certain missions like Complications and Father/Son just gives you a game over, I think it would have been cool to have small missions like Franklin heading over to Simeon's dealership to figure out what happened only to see the absolute state Michael left it in and get fired, or even something where Michael raids the thieves' hideout to rescue Franklin if they take him away
Would've liked if Father/Son had a different ending if you can't save franklin, whe're you'd end up playing as franklin stuck on the boat only to eventually kill the thieves and bring the boat back making it actually the better ending for franklin as Michael would be amazed he saved his boat and managed to come back.
I haven’t play the whole campaign since I believe 2014 and just forgot many of these things. Watching this video just gave me a whole tbt of those days after school. Say whatever you like about online, the story even today with some mechanics are by now nostalgic (the phones, cars, situations, places that by then where the latest tech).
19:23 also, what i think is kinda funny, if you manage to get on the train without failing (could also have been a time limit not sure rn) you will get this mini achievement called "better than CJ"

Another thing about complications. In that mission, Micheal says that the pistol he is pointing at Franklin (a standard GTA 5 pistol) is chambered in 9x19 mm, which matches the real life gun it is based off of (Taurus PT92AF). However, when you read the description of the gun in an Ammunation store, it says it is chambered in .45 ACP
I'm fairly sure a lot of the story was written in R* UK office in Scotland. If so this makes sense as most of us in the UK (regardless of which country) know nothing about guns and often have never even seen one. My mother is retired and has never seen a gun apart from in other countries.

When I played The Doomsday Heist, I played with the Headcanon that the ULP Contact faked his own death during the shootout and simply activated a blood pack.
Scouting the Port sometimes just straight up censors the part where Trevor exposes himself, in the enhanced version of the game. The scene will have the camera slightly up to Floyd and Trevor, so we don't see Trevor exposing himself.
A couple of alternates: in the first mission where we meet Trevor, if you kill Ashley when you’re headed for the Lost, Wade will say you can just bury Johnny and no one will know, since Ashely’s already dead. If you don’t, Wade will suggest you kill her and bury Johnny. You can also get a Merryweather Mesa at the end of The Wrap Up, there will be several in the parking lot, (that’s where I got mine)
Just one more thing about the brazillian version ''Two is good, three is badass'' It's a reference to the movie ''You, Me and Dupree'' In Brazil it's called Dois é bom, três é demais (two is good, three is too much)
I remember that some people says the funny mission Michael has when smoking those strange weeds. He'll be seeing aliens is way how Rockstar is making fun of Saints Row 4
1. For Chop: if Franklin doesn’t use his special power while chasing the baller in the motorcycle Lamar will break the 4th wall and ask him to use it. 2. For Father/Son: theres another cutscenes that plays if Michael fails to save them both(WAY funnier), though it’s harder to activate.
Also: "Friend Request" where Jay Norris has his face blown off with the phone is a direct reference to "Law Abiding Citizen" Scene, where the judge had her face blown off by her rigged phone.
16:13 Michael texts Franklin after eye in the sky saying 'I did you a solid, kid. Martin madrazo wanted you but I got Trevor instead.' so It makes sense.
Kinda ironic that trevor referes to a song from 2004 when Michael is right beside him, based on the fact that the Bob-cat heist during the prolouge also took place in 2004.
In the mission "derailed" if you jump on the train first try you can see the text "better than cj" this is required for the gold medal on that mission.

In the mission pack man, lamar refers to having stole the yellow car. This car belonged to Brucie in GTA 4, meaning Brucie canonically lives in Los Santos in 2013.

There's too many plotholes everywhere to the point I see no feasible way of ever explaining the broken timeline of missions and how everyone has flying bikes that magically disappeared 2 years after the events of the game. There's a lot of events that line up like this one, but there's so much more that doesn't.

Honestly Michael would’ve been better off if Franklin stayed on his Yacht as it drove away. Franklin could just contact Michael once the truck stops.
Well keep in mind during this mission is when you obtain Michael's contact information so it wouldn't line up at all

Scouting the Port sometimes just straight up censors the part where Trevor exposes himself, in the enhanced version of the game. The scene will have the camera slightly up to Floyd and Trevor, so we don't see Trevor exposing himself.
A couple of alternates: in the first mission where we meet Trevor, if you kill Ashley when you’re headed for the Lost, Wade will say you can just bury Johnny and no one will know, since Ashely’s already dead. If you don’t, Wade will suggest you kill her and bury Johnny.
You can also get a Merryweather Mesa at the end of The Wrap Up, there will be several in the parking lot, (that’s where I got mine)

1. For Chop: if Franklin doesn’t use his special power while chasing the baller in the motorcycle Lamar will break the 4th wall and ask him to use it.
2. For Father/Son: theres another cutscenes that plays if Michael fails to save them both(WAY funnier), though it’s harder to activate.
For the second one, just drive slow and when you pass the red bridge you will get it
Also: "Friend Request" where Jay Norris has his face blown off with the phone is a direct reference to "Law Abiding Citizen" Scene, where the judge had her face blown off by her rigged phone.

There's too many plotholes everywhere to the point I see no feasible way of ever explaining the broken timeline of missions and how everyone has flying bikes that magically disappeared 2 years after the events of the game. There's a lot of events that line up like this one, but there's so much more that doesn't.
