I know you've been completely stunned twice already, but you've truly only just begun. When you think you finally understand and are ready for Dimash's next shocking skill, you quickly find you are not. He will floor you time and time again and in ways you can't imagine. The glottal trill you heard in this one was actually a funeral dirge and an homage to the original singer of the song who died. The piano player actually wrote the tune and the band is the original performing group Studio A. If you watch the clip to completion you will see Dimash give humble and appropriate recognition to the group. If you like being moved by a song. I highly recommend your next adventure to be Autumn Strong from the Chinese contest. You can safely use the version on Gloria Wu's channel. She provides English translations and a full back story to the song as well. Bring tissues. You'll need them. Dimash learned the Mandarin lyrics to this song in one week and performed it in the contest as a thank you to the warm reception he had received from the Chinese audiences. He does not speak Chinese. I think I can tell the genuine reactions. Some people over react, but many of them bring tears to my eyes and kind of choke me up. And it isn't so much what you say, but somehow, your aura or something, puts out a vibe and I feel it. Lately this one guy from Australia does it. He also wants everyone to go and subscribe to Dimash's channel so we can get Dimash's subscriptions up, his goal is for Dimash to have 10 million. Good goal.

I'm not sure if you remember my advice under your cover video. Dimash turned regular pop song into a Broadway show using a mixture of pop, opera, jazz and Kazakh folk run. All this together blows up the brain of an unprepared listener.

Dimash was never on the Voice China the announcer made a mistake. Dimash was invited to participate in a tv show called I am Singer, only for the very top professional vocalists in China, after the producer saw him perform for the Presidents of both Kazakhstan and China in Kazakhstan and was so impressed by him. He was the youngest ever participant in 2017, he couldn't speak the language and knew no one. He was invited as a wildcard and they didn't expect he would last the 13 week run but he did of course. He was first to perform after his very first notes he had the audience gasping with joy. When the first show was aired on TV Dimash woke next morning to find that he had been assigned bodyguards, he asked why and was informed he had 600 million hits on his Weibo account, thats like Chinese Instagram and that there were fans waiting for him outside the building. That was the start of his worldwide success story. He left the show with a lot of good friends and millions of fans having come second by a whisker to an elder respected Chinese artist but in reality it was Dimash who was the biggest winner as he is now a world class star who has more fans, more success and more love than he could ever have imagined. He dreamt as a child that he would sing on a huge stage to millions of people like his idol Michael Jackson and he is surpassing that dream now. You are so right. Performing at the highest level on stage, live, is one of the most difficult things to do. Dimash, however, as you must have discovered by now is an absolute polished artist. He does everything clean cut and with unimaginable ease. He is absolutely refined as a vocalist and as an artist. Think about it,... He sings, performs, acts, plays multiple instruments, songwriter, speaks no less than 12 languages, and the list goes on. Follow your dreams; stay focused; practice. This is a beautiful reaction. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should... Dimash unquestionably has phenomenal range and great vocal control. In this song he used a broad spectrum (can't say full range, because you never know with Dimash) of his vocal gifts in great taste, timing and artistry. I have heard him a lot, and I am almost always awed at his range and about 90 percent enjoyed the artistry in his song choices. He has had a couple of songs that when measured against his own capabilities and taste were not that impressive. LIke the other three or four generational vocal artists of our time, he is young and passionate and constantly stretching his limits, which has lead to a couple of not so great songs. But this one was spot on. Marcelito is the closest artist to Dimash's range (both female and male ranges) but Dimash always adds the extra layer of artistry, probably because it is clear he had access to more professional coaching and training. Thanks, this was a joy to listen to.

Warning!!! Don't listen to anymore Dimash. Everything else will sound dull. I've been Dimashified and now I can't listen to anything else without being bored. Just so you know what you will be getting yourself into. Every song is different. The backstories make the songs so much more interesting. For example this song... the band performing with Dimash is the original performers. The pianists wrote the song and invited Dimash to sing with them shortly after their lead singer died, who was also from Kazakhstan. Dimash composed this rendition in honor of their lead singer. That glottal stop part that you like is actually a chant for the dead Dimash style, right into a 25 sec run riff from high to low and everything in between without taking a breath...... there's more but only Dimash Dears would read this far. That ethnic “wailing” is used at funerals in the Middle East, and Dimash added it to honor the original member of the band/singer of this peace because he had been killed (Iin an auto accident). It's a etnic style with very large vibrato and voice reverb and echo.
By the way, in ''Sinful passion'' , where he does the goat-like sound (which is a traditional Mongolian singing style- and perhaps not only Mongolian), he is actually paying tribute to the lead singer of the band he is playing with, who died a while ago. This is a Eastern European and Central Asian traditional way of singing at funerals, (but somehow artistically ''brushed'' by Dimash) when mourning the dead. You are so right. Performing at the highest level on stage, live, is one of the most difficult things to do. Dimash, however, as you must have discovered by now is an absolute polished artist. He does everything clean cut and with unimaginable ease. He is absolutely refined as a vocalist and as an artist. Think about it,... He sings, performs, acts, plays multiple instruments, songwriter, speaks no less than 12 languages, and the list goes on. Follow your dreams; stay focused; practice.

The announcer actually made an error. Dimash was on The Singer China and he came in second place to Sandy Lam. This song is beautiful and Dimash's performance mesmerizes me. And he only came in second because according to the rules of I am a sinfer 2017 a foreigner was not slliwed to win. Guess what they did the next year...yep, they changed the rules. Nevertheless he was the moral winner. The day after the first competition round SOS went viral and since then he is a celebrity in China with a huge fan base and many performances on TV shows etc.
And he was 22 years at the time and were competing against established proffesional singers.😊

You’ve only just begun to see what the best vocalist in the world is capable of! I haven’t watched your first reaction to him but I’ve subscribe and plan on watching it very soon. I look forward to watching you go on the Dimash journey because it’s always an incredible thing to watch and I’ve been watching new reactors since I first discovered Dimash in 2017 and I have yet to see any reactor that wasn’t blown away by him every time they react to him! Just watch & listen to all the vocal teachers, musicians, singer/songwriters, music producers, scholars ect whom are always just as shocked with each new performance they watch even though they already know about his 20 plus years of vocal training, his music education & the degrees he’s acquired, his vocal range, breathing techniques, stage presence, storytelling ability, and so on but especially his fans (Dears) like myself, who have listened to all of his music, watched performances from when he was a young child until now! It’s a competition where the contestants are already well known, established and famous musicians in China and there are many complicated rules that I don’t really completely understand all of them & they change from year to year also but the live audience of 500 are the people who vote. It’s an incredible show and showcases outstanding talent! The year after Dimash competed Jessie J was invited to participate, which she accepted of course & ended up winning the 2018 season. Dimash came back that year & performed the song “Hello” by Lionel Ritchie for a charity and even Jessie J was completely blown away by his performance. The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique (traditional cazaq singing called “Youkatian”). Is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist? Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should... Dimash unquestionably has phenomenal range and great vocal control. In this song he used a broad spectrum (can't say full range, because you never know with Dimash) of his vocal gifts in great taste, timing and artistry. I have heard him a lot, and I am almost always awed at his range and about 90 percent enjoyed the artistry in his song choices. He has had a couple of songs that when measured against his own capabilities and taste were not that impressive. LIke the other three or four generational vocal artists of our time, he is young and passionate and constantly stretching his limits, which has lead to a couple of not so great songs. But this one was spot on. Marcelito is the closest artist to Dimash's range (both female and male ranges) but Dimash always adds the extra layer of artistry, probably because it is clear he had access to more professional coaching and training. Thanks, this was a joy to listen to.

Warning!!! Don't listen to anymore Dimash. Everything else will sound dull. I've been Dimashified and now I can't listen to anything else without being bored. Just so you know what you will be getting yourself into. Every song is different. The backstories make the songs so much more interesting. For example this song... the band performing with Dimash is the original performers. The pianists wrote the song and invited Dimash to sing with them shortly after their lead singer died, who was also from Kazakhstan. Dimash composed this rendition in honor of their lead singer. That glottal stop part that you like is actually a chant for the dead Dimash style, right into a 25 sec run riff from high to low and everything in between without taking a breath...... there's more but only Dimash Dears would read this far. That ethnic “wailing” is used at funerals in the Middle East, and Dimash added it to honor the original member of the band/singer of this peace because he had been killed (Iin an auto accident). It's a etnic style with very large vibrato and voice reverb and echo.
By the way, in ''Sinful passion'' , where he does the goat-like sound (which is a traditional Mongolian singing style- and perhaps not only Mongolian), he is actually paying tribute to the lead singer of the band he is playing with, who died a while ago. This is a Eastern European and Central Asian traditional way of singing at funerals, (but somehow artistically ''brushed'' by Dimash) when mourning the dead. Apparently Dimash uses symbolism a lot in his songs. For example, ''Passione'' is somehow based on ''Inferno'' by Dantes (the struggle with the extremes of life and how good wins over evil, but the journey to get there appears emotionally intricate).
