I can see someone high from a mile away. It's been almost 20 months now and I don't miss it at all. Well...most days I don't. Others are more difficult for some reason. It was hard for me to wrap my head around, because i thought for a long time that any real parent wouldn't think twice and will always put their children first. But adiction is very different. We all need to change the way we think of it. It is NOT a choice for the adict. It becomes their life. The very same parents who have always put children first suddenly chooses the drugs above all else. Drugs have that strong of a hold on normal hard working people. And until the rest of us understand that hold and extreme and some cases life threatening pain of going without their drug, we will never be able to help the addiction problem. If we don't understand it properly we can not help. Just because we want something to be one way doesn't mean it is, we think a parent should choose their child, however that's not reality. He is a dead man wreaking havoc in the lives of those who love him until he figures this out. I just hope his family doesn't "love him to death" until he gets it.
I know Ryan is an adult and has to take responsibility for his actions now but his parents play a big role in how hes turned out. They never made him accountable for anything. He behaved more like an older brother to Bentley while the grandparents took care of him and bought him things and remained in complete denial over what a loser their son is. It's sad considering he is their only child and he doesnt appreciate anything theyve done for him. A very selfish dude. New parents can learn from his parents mistakes.

It was hard for me to wrap my head around, because i thought for a long time that any real parent wouldn't think twice and will always put their children first. But adiction is very different. We all need to change the way we think of it. It is NOT a choice for the adict. It becomes their life. The very same parents who have always put children first suddenly chooses the drugs above all else. Drugs have that strong of a hold on normal hard working people. And until the rest of us understand that hold and extreme and some cases life threatening pain of going without their drug, we will never be able to help the addiction problem. If we don't understand it properly we can not help. Just because we want something to be one way doesn't mean it is, we think a parent should choose their child, however that's not reality. Very sad for everyone.

The word enabler doesn’t even begin to describe it. I don’t know what harsher of a word there is out there than the word enabling, but they go above and beyond enabling him.
The amount of times on teen mom family reunions that his parents have tried sticking up for him or coming to his defense and trying to explain his behavior was always ridiculous and I would just sit there and laugh on my couch.
