    That's horrific when trash is allowed to pile up that long. Some people see it as an invitation to dump more. A few years back I pulled up under a bridge that I had driven over for years and underneath it was basically a landfill. I was like Jesus Christ what is wrong with people ? I drove to a convenience store just up the road and bought two boxes of lawn waste bags, drove back to the bridge and spent the next three hours loading them with garbage. The back of my truck was overloaded with full bags but I got most of it. Since then I've been doing solo clean ups along road sides and illegal dumpsites. Thanks for all your efforts. I hope people see this and get inspired to pitch in.

      That is correct, I appreciate your efforts as well, I love to see and hear of more people out there cleaning up their neighborhoods, I am always doing the same, I just don't always film! This just was above and beyond what I was use to doing.

    You deserve a lot more thanks for tackling what most people would give up on as a hopeless situation. I have watched quite a few litter picking videos and this is the first one where a rake and snow shovel were needed for all the trash. As a fellow litter picker I can tell you that sometimes it takes one person’s initiative to do something about it to inspire others to do the same. Like we said in the 1970s, keep on truckin’.

      Thank you, I truly appreciate this, quite a few people in my neighborhood take note of my actions, i hope one day they just join in! It is still an ongoing process, but I fully intend in getting that area cleaned, and yes, my rake and shovel will accompany me!

    Where did you get the litter picker tongs?

    • @sittingXXduck
      @sittingXXduck  День назад

      @@PatriciaPlunk Amazon, it is so tough to find a good pair, and impossible to get a litter hoop unless you want to ship from over seas at crazy delivery fees. Thank you for watching.

    I think litterers don't have morals and they are selfish.

    I dont understand why the trash is in that spot. Does it cost $$ for the local dump? Is it too far to the local dump? Is it a homeless camp?

    • @sittingXXduck
      @sittingXXduck  Год назад

      I think it is both I believe this has been a Dumping Ground and a homeless camp, it is very expensive in Indianapolis to dump items, tires, tvs, all very expensive. So most of the time they end up on the side of the road. 😔

      I just pick it up a bin at a time my problem is the heat I have a very strong heat intolerance and Indiana humidity is awful on me but when it's cool I'm out there
