You did a great job. Thanks for posting. When people do pick up just one piece of litter every day and put it in the bin, it saves tons of litter ending up in nature every year.
What a great team you two are! I enjoyed watching you guys despite the fact that it is all about trash. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that it seems to be the same just everywhere. This scenery looks way too familiar. Dang it… Thank you so much for taking the time to fill up 10 bags!!! 🚮
Hi, I’m a new follower, love what you’re doing! Why not step on the plastic bottles and cans? Makes for more room in the bags, yes/no? Just sayin’! Excellent work men!! ❤😊
Hi there, welcome to our small channel 😊 and thanks for your comment. In answer to your question, the bags aren't particularly thick so they rip easily. We have tried squashing cans but they tend to tear the bags apart. Also, it can be quite time consuming as silly as it sounds, squashing everything before bagging it. The weight works out the same either way too.
Man, the UK looks really bad when it comes to litter from what I've seen. Thank you for being an example for others and for protecting our beautiful planet. 👍❤ 🌍
@I'm Darren, He's Paul I think Scotland are trialling a deposit and return scheme for cans and bottles in August this year. We definitely need to try and work something out before we all drown in rubbish. Thank you both for all your hard work.
Have you considered recycling the cans and bottles? I understand that sorting everything afterwards would be way too demanding, but would it be doable to place them in different bags as they are picked up? Good job anyways! It's so frustrating to see all the litter.
As far as I'm aware they are all sorted once they reach their destination. Our Facebook group usually updates us on the amount of cans, bottles and other recyclables sorted by weight, numbers and money earned from what has been collected each month. It's not usually a great amount of money but it goes back into resources for the group.
Does the city come by within a matter of a day or two to pick up the trash bags? I would think that the trash bags stay out too long that the Nocturnals and other critters would come by and open them the bags. Just curious how the process works.
Hi, yes we'll report our haul to our local 'litter watch' group who in turn let the council know and then collect it all the next day! Generally everyone who collects rubbish will have to leave them near a roadside with some notable marker (in our case the street sign) and somewhere accessible for lorry to park and collect. All we do is take a picture and post it to Facebook to be reported by the litter watch group.
Great work guys, such a shame some people have such a lack of respect for the environment and where they live. It's a shame the council/canal and river trust didn't take the opportunity to clear the sidings of litter 🚯🚮
Amazing humans who take pride in their environment
Thank you.
Nice video good 💯
Thank You!
So frustrating, all that litter. Good on you both for keeping up the effort!👍
Great job , I do the same it’s so satisfying.
Excellent work chaps - great to see. Shame that more folk don't have the same pride in their community
Thanks buddy. Yep, there's always gonna be litter.
I luv u guys. Such calm, cheery guys who really care about your environment. Keep up the good work fellas x

Yes - just one piece can make a huge difference. Thanks for taking time to comment.
Fantastic effort! 🚮👌🚮
That was awesome....well done, what a difference you made.
Just hope we don't have to revisit the area too soon! Thanks for the kind comment 😊

@@imdarrenhespaul Ok I get it! Thx for responding! From Florida, USA!

Yeah, it's pretty bad. Not entirely sure there's an answer either sadly.

@@talex1625 ideally yes, but if there's money to be spent by our government, then no 😢
this will NOT be needed IF people put their trash in bins in the beginning😛
This is what local community payback should be doing, follow usa lead regarding the chain gang
A small garden cart would make this easier
Hi, it's certainly something we could look into at some point in the future.

Great work guys - keep them coming!
What are those canisters ?
So sad that people have no pride in their community to just throw trash out on the streets and worse when it ends up in bodies of water and 😢
I don’t get why people drop litter it’s so selfish and irresponsible. I think they are mostly stupid people nit much between the ears .
Love this channel. Well done boys! May I ask where you get your litter pickers from as they look much stronger and usable than mine!
Thanks buddy. We're currently in the middle of creating a video about litter pickers / grabbers which hopefully will be ready for Sunday.
Great work guys, such a shame some people have such a lack of respect for the environment and where they live.

Yeah, it would've been the perfect opportunity to clear a vast amount of waste but I guess they had other ideas.
