I was a restaurant owner and a chef. Closed my restaurant a couple years ago due to an injury. This show is amazing and accurate as hell. I get PTSD every time I watch it, and also want to open a sandwich shop every time too. lol We are a crazy bunch. This show is perfection.
Yeah, I was a chef for 10 years. But I hated every fucking second of it. So I haven't watched this show and I'm not going to. I love Matty, and I'd love to support him, but I just can't do it.

It’s not. The network is gaming the system because they didn’t want to go up against Succession. Comedic actors have no chance in their own category if a serious dramatic actor is what they’re up against.

The best, most well written show I’ve seen since early Game of Thrones seasons. All these awards are for season 1, and season 2 is probably better btw! The episodes “Forks” and “Fishes” are 2 of the best pieces of tv I’ve ever seen!
I feel like the Marvelous Mrs. Masel doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. I love the Bear but the costumes the wittiness, it’s all there for Midge. It’s truly a phenomenal show.
We're gonna be celebrating next year for Season 2 cause believe me, It actually gets better. What an incredible series. (Though I wouldn't categories it as Comedy but what do I know, I'm just an average Joe)
It is even less of a comedy show in season 2. But now that Succession is gone, maybe next year The Bear will have The Balls to compete in the categories it actually belongs to instead of fleeing into comedy categories, tail between its legs, and stealing awards from shows that actually try and succeed to be... ya know... comedic. Love the show as a drama, but receiving emmy awards as a comedy feels fraudulent and unearned to me. They could have just been the 2nd best drama show on air, but now they are just a fraud.

Even drama category winner Succession had more actual funny scenes than the Bear. I could easily tell you five very funny Succession scenes but would have to think very hard to remember even one very funny The Bear scene. Because it is neither comedy, nor dramedy, it is a pure drama.
Ok, awesome the bear won, it's one of the greatest television shows in recent memory if not of all time, but best comedy is a strange award for it to win, since the bear is definitely more focused on the drama aspects.

I'm always interested to movies or TV shows about the cooking industry. There's unfortunately not too many of them these days. Thankfully, i found The Bear and ended up being one of my favourite shows that take place in the cooking industry. This Emmy win makes me so excited for the third season aswell as probably another sweep for season 2 next September. Let's roll for that! 😎

The Bear is a shot at the target. Since Netflix's successful Chef's Table, audiences have been asking for a series based on this culinary context. Obviously there were some films that surfed the wave, but nothing in this proportion. I believe that from what I watched in the 2 seasons, the story should have about 5 seasons, with the story well tied together without getting lost and becoming overwhelming.
