I really enjoyed this "DIY" video. You give exact ... detailed... supply list at the beginning, then very clear, easy to understand and follow directions. No surprises. Thank you for the tip on drilling a hole in glass. (some people assume everyone has done this .... well not all of us have ... then you have to go to another video to figure out why your glass shattered!) Thank you.
Looks like an excellent way of restructuring distilled water!
Vicky, you are one brilliant lady I've always wanted to make one of this, it absolutely neat, but also for my little 5 years old fascinated by tornadic forces this is one great demonstrator, and I will make one for our vegetable garden, thx for sharing
I can handle her voice because she actually talks and stays on point quickly instructing how to do things unlike the videos where the people don't talk and don't teach anything.
That water looks so clean and refreshing it's making me thirsty 🚱🛑😷
😂
This is how a demo should be. Great explanation and the tips with the drilling. Which more demos were like this. Great job. Thanks!
Loved your water feature and the clear, concise way you explained what was needed and how to put it all together. You have a sharp mind, a good eye for great projects and a beautiful voice. Just be a bit more conversational when speaking, as if you were talking to a good friend over the phone. I hope to see many more projects from you. Have a good Day and a great life!
Absolute BEAUTIFUL, that drilling in glass, nope this is definitely worth the time, and money because it really is elegant, but I need a breezy easy wall water feature ! Secondly I have none of those tools😩
Thank you so much!
Absolutely awesome video!
You simplified the project in such a way that it is user friendly for the majority!
Many thanks
Cool vortex water feature and clear D.I.Y. demonstration.
And may I say, she's got a great pair of legs.
Thanks for sharing.
Great video, learnt something. You could improve your intonation though. It sounded like you were trying to sell me something on As Seen On TV!
You shouldn't comment on anyone's intonation when you seem to have a bigger problem with spelling. Didn't you notice the red flag when you typed "learnt"? That's not even a word.
Mark Panko you shouldn't comment on anyone's spelling when you seem to have an even bigger problem with ignorance. Didn't you notice the LACK of a red flag when you typed "learnt"?
seriously though, learnt IS a valid word in British English.
Chill dude. I was making a friendly light hearted comment. BTW, here you go: en.oxforddictionaries.com/usage/learnt-vs-learned
Learnt is a proper word in part of the world where I was educated.
it is a word
Tommy Teleshopping i was thinking off
Great instructions very clear
I don't think I would put metal in my pond. I built a stand out of PVC pipe for my goldfish's viewing dome. I would do the same for this.
Great tutorial.
This would be perfect for a structured drinking water station!
I love this! Thank you for showing how easy it can be.
Finally, a no bullshit DIY well narrated and performed.
I love the video and her professional voice. I want to make this.
I loved the video and I loved that you tell us exactly what your doing. Thank you lovely job! :)
This was very helpful, thanks for making this video!
It looks great over the pond
Great Vicky!! the best vortex fountain video I´ve seen. Regards
This project is very interesting Mrs. Vicki.
Lady....dremeling in high heels...you are hardcore.
ignore negative feedback, jealous people everywhere. great video please keep on rockin!
I appreciate that - thank you! :)
Awesome. Thank you for sharing.
Personally, I would've just done a voice over in the opening scene. It looks like the audio isn't syncing properly with the video. The fountain itself looks pretty easy to do except for drilling the glass! Nice video.
I love you voice! Specially when you talk about holes!
God, Vicki.. You take my breath away. Love your shoes btw.. :-) Thanks for another fly DIY.
Bro?
Ci vraiment fantastique très très bon travail madame, je vous souhaite une bonne chance 👍🇲🇦👋🌹👍👍👍
you what would be cool also ? take two of them solar lights ? wrap it in cling wrap ? back the sides and put two on the sides ? solar so you wouldn't have to change eneything and cling wrap gets pretty water proof if you wrap it rite . just a thought
Great video
Beautiful high heeled shoes to be working in! I'd like to know how to make a pair of those...
Tinkering on heels.
we are near an other kind of vids
nice idea for the pound
Making a pond and pondering the dirt mound. Volcano? Sweet caldera up top? Small pond in said sweet caldera up top? Infinity whirlpool in small pond in sweet caldera up top? Too much?
Nope! It'll just be one of these things.
Thanks lady!
Okay I love you goodbye!
Thanks for the idea. I'll use it.
Nice. Most pond pumps are rated in gph (gallons per hour) What is the gph rating of the pumps you used? I really would like to build one of these!
Very nice of you!!
i love the shoes viki
Those are some sexy heels for power tool use. I approve!
Just like the vortex in my toilet. No wonder the cats love it.
very nice
Love this!
Love this video - thanks for making it! One question: Can you place the metal support for the outside pond lower in the water so it doesn't show? Like an infinity pool.
How'bout adding magnets to the side of the vortex? It would make it highly beneficial miracle water! :D
That's a kick but idea putting it in a pond
love how she was wearing heals when cutting the grate :/
I so want to do this!!!
Your voice is amazing!
Very interesting, thanks for the video.
Awesome! Love this!
Hi Vicki, really great video. What size were the two pumps you end up using?
Thanks a lot - I appreciate it! :) The pumps are pond pumps and they run at 700 GPH.
I was just wondering what size water pumps you used. Thanks for the video it was very well done.
Thanks for the video Vicki. You gave very clear instructions, except for the size of pumps needed for the ¾ inch outlet hole. Would a smaller hole require smaller pumps and be enough to keep a constant water level?
I've read that this vortex system will naturally energise the water passing through it. It works by vortex implosion and it would be interesting to see if fish /flowers /food crops can benefit from utilising the water passing through. The pioneer research of Viktor Schauberger sheds a lot of light on this principle -- he claimed that the piped water we've long used in modern times is "dead" due to being stored and carried in a linear fashion. So unless we've access to fresh spring, well or ground water, even our drinking water is mechanised. But this vortex system can re-energise it. Lucky goldfish.
I would try a special lightning instead of adding some color thing to the water
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with myself and others , who appreciate your efforts . Ignore the nay sayers as they will then own the negative energy that they created... keep on going ...ttyl, T...
Wow thats nice
None of the links appear to work anymore and I am very interested, but I would need better descriptions of the materials list, such as size of cylinder and pump capabilities.
Vickie, love the video can you tell me where I can find a large cylinder?
You can get one at a Hobby store like Hobby Lobby or at walmart some craft stores might have some too
Thank you! I found mine at Garden Ridge but Chris McCormick is correct - Hobby Lobby and other craft/home decor stores should have them, too!
wait--so the reservoir underneath has to hold the water capacity of the vortex container PLUS how much water to keep the pumps primed and working ? when you shut if off, the water drains back into the lower container ?
4:02 so cool :D
good
Are you a radio announcer? That is one phonogenic voice
owsum work but i am little scared in using that machine and please help me and tell me the things name so i can purchase
A very sincere video, but where are the free steak knives. Trying too hard and I know, cos I'm a pro.
It's all fun and games until the vortex gets bigger.
I want to hear your war cry!
What a sing songy voice-over, lol.
Vickie, did you say to drill all the holes on the bottom 3/4 inch?
Yes - all of the holes on the bottom of the glass are the same size!
Vicki . Nice very Nice.
great video. You should work for Disney. You have that kind of voice. :)
hi from korea full watchijg and thumb up
thanks:)
Would this make great drinking water?
My goodness... Tone hell is what I barely endured. So I gave up... Iam getting a lava lamp instead.
Hi, how are you, what size is the pump that you use and which water flow in liters according to the characteristics of the pump?
I don't suppose you have heard of Viktor Schauberger?
Pouvez vous me dire quel genre de pompe dois je prendre ? Puissance, débit, hauteur du jet . Et quel volume a le verre ? Merci
ไอเดียดีมากครับ
I’m thinking about using two solar pumps what would be wattage to us - currently I’m looking at a 2 Watts
0:16 GIRL THAT WATER DIRTY
Hello! Wich characteristics do the pumps have? I mean about the power and flow capacity. Thank you!
Hi! They are pond pumps and crank out 700 GPH. Hope that helps!
Water tornado inside glass vase? I can't make this.
Why does the water have that tinge? Are you in Flint?
Question: Has anyone try using any other shape container besides cylinder or sphere?
Great info but please upload again with a voice over with your regular speaking voice.
why does she sound like one of those spokes persons that be on kids "as seen on TV products" XD
Where can I find the glass cylinder??
Nice shoes...
That water looks disgusting
probably just a testing and example setup. cleaning before final install would fix this issue...
Pity that the only thing you focused on was the water quality. IMO it is probably the best vid I have seen so far on "how to" make the vortex waterfalls. Thank you Vicki, would you be able to give the GPH of the pumps you used?
Thank you, Sethlenara! Sure - they are 700 GPH pumps.
Jesus H. Christ
Gloria Maness Hello
will a 8inch by 14inch vase work?
cute voice ! ;) good job!!!
how many gph does the pump say
Did you seal the two elbows inside the glass?
No, but only because there was minimal leakage, it didn't impact the water flow inside the cylinder, and I didn't need the cylinder to be watertight (it was just dripping back down into the planter base/pond). I don't think it would hurt it to seal with some epoxy (say, if you were having issues keeping your 90 degree elbows in place), but I didn't find it necessary. Thanks for the question!
Wow how to do that fountain
How do i make this without pumps?
оень красиво. лайк за работу.
So, 3/4 inch holes but 1/2 couplings? Is this correct?
Yes
What size pumps?
You need to get a side job being the voice of audiobooks....
