Costa Del Sunset - FF7 Rebirth unreleased OST

This song plays during the reflective moment after the battle at the beach of Costa Del Sol. It picks up the FF7 main theme and also incorporates the refrain melody from another iconic song: "Holding My Thoughts in My Heart" (alternate titles: "Dear To The Heart" or "With Heavy Heart"), which appears on various occasions and in various versions throughout Rebirth. In the original FF7 it first played when reaching the city gates of Midgar.

Oh yeah same here, Costa, Cosmo and Icycle Inn are my top three places to revisit since 1997!

I'll be honest - I was a teensy bit disappointed. The original Costa was this kind of laid-back resort that felt a little off the beaten path (not entirely - but not, like, the world's premier beach town, either). In the remake, it's... like little Miami Beach. The vibe is just completely different - one is chill and sophisticated, and the other is a madhouse.

@@princessofthecape2078 I hate to say so, but I have to agree. I mean.... I still liked it, also due to its countless details and nods to the original, but I would have liked it more if it had stayed closer to the original. After visiting Kalm and Under Junon though, and seeing how big these places were, I sort of expected what we got here. This was also reflected in the background music by the way, which turned out rather full and crowdy (everything I just wrote holds true for Cosmo Canyon as well).

Stole a copy from hollywood video back in the day hehe. Joke was on me though... Disk 3 was scratched and I never finished it... I really need to get back on it haha.

Just download the remastered version. It‘s a great game and very playable until this day. And when some parts get too tedious, you can activate one boosters which turn your run into a walk in the park. Gaming has changed a lot since back then and classic fans have less time nowadays… 🙃
