I was talking about the story beats/characters (the warriors separated from their homeland, the lost older brother, the princess, the yellow guy is pretty much just Boi if he were a bit of a dick, the redeemed antihero, etc.) and some of the design elements (the main mechs are similar, and just look at the suits). Again, repetition is just par for the course for this series, but we’re only talking about a six year gap between the two shows. It’s the same reason I rolled my eyes at Ryusoulger. I didn’t fault them for doing dinosaurs again, but Kyoryuger was still pretty fresh in our minds. Gingaman is a great show (in some ways, I think it’s BETTER than Zyuranger), I just think they should’ve put a pin in the idea for a few more years. Hell, they even could’ve put it back to back with Abaranger. It wouldn’t have mattered that much since Abaranger’s similarities to Zyuranger pretty much begin and end with the dinosaurs and suit designs.

Man, what is up with the footage? It's not bad, but I'm noticing this specific look with Super Sentai around this time, starting with Carranger; the lighting is very different from previous seasons (like Zyuranger and Ohranger) and it's slightly blue... I heard they adopted some type of filming or broadcasting technique around this time that involved transferring footage into a different format... does anyone know what that is? Enlighten me; I want to know!
Power Rangers Lost Galaxy followed Gingaman plot wise even though though the Gingamen were always on Earth while their American counterparts were in space.
Hell yeah. I was never a huge fan of _PR_ despite collecting so many of the Deluxe transforming Zords (which I continue to this day), and I wasn't thrilled with _PRLG_ even though it had _some_ good quality production values in it. But when I saw _Gingaman_ for the first time in 2019 (THANK YOU Shout! Factory!), I was genuinely surprised and thrilled how much I liked it!
That bit with the Baruban logo in the puddle that gets splashed - that might be my favorite moment in any Toku opening sequence.
This whole intro is very creative and exciting!

I grew up with us having Japanese cable so I watched this when it aired so the nostalgia is very strong for me.
Dairanger: good at riding a bike
Gingaman: good at taking care horses
And yet sadly they never took care of horses was in the show! I was SOOO disappointed! The horses are one of my favorite animals.
