I have a Levo Comp Alloy as my first E-bike and it is a bulldozer. The biggest thing is having faith in the bike as it will just eat up anything that you look at. Unreal technology and power. Best thing I have ever done. Can't get the smile off my face.
I have Had mine for two weeks now in the uk ..absolutely love it …I’m only a year in to mountain biking at the age of sixty ,started on a hard tail , such a great past time …love the trails and the down hill thrills ..love your channel and all your great advice ..cheers
Austen & Michael were great when I went into the Calabasas shop. I purchased the 2022 Specialized Turbo Levo Comp Carbon. Before purchasing my Levo, I had a nice long talk with Michael about what I was looking for. Austen set me up on the bike. Fantastic deal, too! Price was marked down to $6750 from $9K. I got in one great ride in Sycamore Canyon, before my back went out while on TG vacation. Bummer. Absolutely love the bike! Cannot wait to get out on it again. I’ve been mountain bike riding for 20 years. This is my first eBike. What a blast! Thanks, Michael & Austen, for a fantastic experience.
I just bought a Levo Turbo S-Works and don't have the words to say how awesome this bike is! Never had a Specialized of any kind before. The Brose motor is really powerful and best of all, it's quiet when going through chunk. So far I love the Fox Factory 38 up front and the Fox Factory X2 in the rear. Never had electronic shifting but the SRAM XX1 AXS shifting is super quick and precise. Most surprising of all: the stock saddle is actually really comfortable!
Only regret about buying this bike is not doing it sooner. Anyone on the fence about going to an EMB, don't wait! I talked it up so much my wife finally bought one, and she can't wait to hit the trails now. Put the fun back in it for both of us.
Great Review! I have the bike and have been really enjoying the freedom to "adventure" with the eMTB. You really will find yourself going places you wouldn't on your MTB because you have the POWER to climb and explore new trails.
Nice video and I live in Florida now but I'm from Arizona and this video makes me miss living out west when I was able to ride nice trails like that back in the '80s with my specialized rockhopper comp, lol which I thought was state of the art back then, but this video was really good.
Talk to my local dealer regarding first service and they do a complete rebuild of the front forks, Fox tend to put to much oil in the forks from the factory and when you do the first service after you bought your bike the service is the most important one, new orings and new seals and oil in the front spring, the service take one day.
I have a 22' Levó Comp Alloy. Absolutely love the bike. I added more slack with the included adapter plate. I recommend doing that if you love bombing down hills.
Such a great riding bike. It’s not best at just one thing but everything IMO. A mullet especially on a emtb makes sense . And they nailed it with the RX trail tune .
Awesome review. Also really enjoyed the Yamaha Moro review from awhile back. I have a Moro Pro. As others said, I have no idea how you ride that fast and still speak in sn intelligent manner. It has to be fast if it looks quick on a GoPro. Looking at upgrading to a Levo Comp Carbon or Expert (with the killer markdowns right now). Keep up the great work.
I’m 5’11” and went with the alloy comp in the S4. Had it for a month now. My other bike is a SC Tallboy 4 size L. Overall I’m REALLY impressed with the Levo and no regrets on size. Very maneuverable and more than enough torque and power. The Tallboy is now for sale if that tells you anything. The Levo is a blast.
Hard to imagine this isn’t a biased review. Would be great to hear true details on the bike: pros and cons. This entire video was “this component is the best thing ever…”
Specialized Levo, perfect got in Australia for 6900. (S5) I'm 1,86m tall, it is not a comp model, but still, it is beautifully designed and rides so smoothly!!!
Just ordered my first Levo size S5. Weent tinto teh specialized delaer before I did that, They had an S4 and said that i dfenetly needed an S5 due to the seat stem hight, Your 6'2" and so am I, Yet you ride the S4. Hope I was advised correctly. Rhe Specialized website says that the S4 is for up to a hight of 188CM 6'2" = 192cm threfore an S5
Great review. I'm glad you mentioned you are 6'2" cause I'm the same height. I don't have very long arms so I think an S4 with a longer dropper would be good for me.
Excellent review including the history and specs. Makes me appreciate my Turbo Levo Comp even more. What PSI do you recommend for the tires in that terrain? Looks like you were running them pretty low.
Thanks for posting. Thinking of getting now that their on sale. I have ridden Specialized my entire MTB life and this seems like a natural progression. Is the power output the same for heavier riders? I'm around 240. Are their any other bikes that have strong motors for heavjer riders or is rider weight even a factor?
I’m super confused. I read on the Specialized website that this bike has a top speed of 28 mph with the new Turbo 2.2 motor. It’s a Class 1 eBike so how is that possible?
O was thinking get a Turbo Levo comp Aluminio , and my question is : with that suspension ( Fox ) there exist a big difference with alloy? I mean , exist if you look the price😢
I'm also 6'2" and wondering if I should get the S4 or S5, are you solid on the S4 fit? Most people I know my height seem to like the S5 but I want maneuverability in switchback/tight terrain.
I've been riding the S4 for months now and have come to realize that S5 seems to be the better size for me at 6'2. You will not lose much in terms of maneuverability!
We love both but think the Alloy is the better choice value wise! There isn't much performance to gain jumping up to the carbon. The money you save going with the alloy can be put into upgrades down the road. We recommend a set of carbon bars as a first upgrade as it will smooth your ride by dampening the vibration through your wrists!
I just bought an S2 yesterday and rolled over stuff that would have sent me into the dirt on all the other bikes I’ve been riding. Returning to riding after 15 years at 52 this makes those climbs that would have killed me on my old hard tail manual a breeze. I am in love. Only problem is cold hands. Which brand carbon bars would you suggest? Do you have to order them or can I come see at your store? I noticed a huge difference when I upgraded them on my dirt bike years ago. Need to reduce stress on my wrists. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi. do you feel any difference in ride quality between carbon and alloy? for example. was the alloy comp ride harsher than comp carbon or vice versa?@@FlyRidesUSA
@@jquess296 honestly the stock didn’t have LSC/HSC so I thought to upgrade it right away, didn’t spend too much time on it. As I knew I already wanted to go 170 mm route to slaken it a bit for steeper DH trails. Right tools for the job, so you have to assess your local trails
is it a problem to remove the batterie all the time to charge it inside the appartement? I’m not having a socket to plug it in in the bike storage room of the compound i’m living in.
I have the SL and prefer less assist and less weight. My battery lasts forever since I only use it on tougher areas. I have the extra battery also but have not needed it. Love the bike. Prices are very good right now in Denver. Go get one!
Hard to talk over? Something is wrong, take it back and they will treat you well and they do it quickly. Mine is super quiet. And just so you know, I have 4000 miles on my bike without a single problem. Sorry to hear that you're having one.
It is a bit ridiculous how much these bikes cost. A motorcycle is far more complex with many more parts. Feels like an elitist marketplace. If the industry wasn't so obsessed with new bikes every other year the costs would come down.

So true, great bike i love mine 🤝🏻
I love mine too!
How difficult is it to remove the battery?

Just bought one if these two days ago. First ride was effing awesome. Took it on some of our gnarliest local trails and it did not disappoint.

My Levo Comp Alloy arrives next week!
4000 miles on my baby and not a single problem! Funnest damn toy I have ever had in my life!
Such a great riding bike. It’s not best at just one thing but everything IMO. A mullet especially on a emtb makes sense . And they nailed it with the RX trail tune .
I've said it before, the Levo is an amazing riding bike. Well balanced and has plenty of juice for long rides or steep punchy hills.

whats the 500wh battery like?
Great review, have the same S4 myself but upgraded the fork to 170mm, where’s this trail at? Looks nice and chunky 🤤
Yea...where is that trail, please share!

I’m 6 ft 1 and 225 but with a 6’6 ape index. Would the S5 work? I
With inseam and arm length in consideration, the roomier cockpit and reach on the S5 might be a great fit!
S5 sounds right to me

Only takes one bolt and the battery slides out easily. Better to keep battery indoors especially if it is cold outside.
It's easy, maybe buy yourself a spare Allen wrench so you always have it handy in the spot that you take it out.
What trail is this?
Do you guys run tubeless on a emtb??
Absolutely. And I have had zero flats. I also run low pressure and Kush core inserts

How noisy should the motor be? I've only done 100kms and it's hard to talk over the motor noise. My bosch was super quiet.
Cant hardly hear mine, you must have a failed motor
Mine isn't noisy at all it's barely noticeable.

I’m 6’2 1/2 276. Will it hold my weight?
300 Lb Max I believe.
No talk about all the motor issues during the history lesson.
Good enough video...but, does this guy have torrettes? Jesh, makes the video almost unbearable with the "whooo" sounds.
For 7,500.00 I will just buy me a Enduro gas powered dirt bike.
It is a bit ridiculous how much these bikes cost. A motorcycle is far more complex with many more parts. Feels like an elitist marketplace. If the industry wasn't so obsessed with new bikes every other year the costs would come down.
Well if your goal is to not experience one of the funnest toys you have ever had in your life, then go ahead with that rather lame idea of yours.
Hi, all bikes are limited in speed to 25 km or sometimes 32 km per hour
What trail is this ?
