It’s not surprising. Microphones meant for ANC are designed to collect as much noise as possible in order to generate the inverse waveform to cancel out the noise. Microphones meant for voice pick up are designed with narrow pick up range. Bose obviously just targets its mics for ANC
For me the most important information (about the static mosquito buzz on left bud) was in the first seconds of the video. Some users on Reddit mentioned that this problem disappeared for them after update, but I didn't really believe it. Thanks a lot Aaron and have a nice weekend! 🙂
@@sukant08First of all, I trust my ears. :-) Unfortunately, the pair that we have at home have not been changed by the update. The annoying sound remains at the same level.
The fact the mosquito buzzing is just accepted by Bose as "normal" is plain wrong. They messed up in the fundamental component design and are giving users a suboptimal experience for $300!! This problem was in the QCII too.

I got a little too excited and updated immediately, because I'd been waiting for the multipoint to make these the perfect buds for me. Fortunately (kinda) the update didn't cause any problems for me. However, my experience with the multipoint has not been great. Once something plays on my phone (like a notification), most of the time it never seems to want to switch back over to my PC (I use an aptx lossless dongle). So... yeah, wish the multipoint was better, but no problems with the update on my end.
I got several notifications on my phone, which switched to it for 5 seconds, before switching back to my asus g14. Granted, I had continuous sound playing from my laptop. Signal drop outs on my windows PC is such a massive bummer, that I'm thinking about returning these.
Just got mine a few days ago and like them so far. Even making phone calls outside while walking the dog ist great. My wife couldn't notice a difference if I was on the phone or wearing the earbuds. In my opinion the ANC on the Sony WF-1000XM4 is stronger than on the Bose QC Ultra. When walking the dog, I notice more car sounds or the sound of the chains of the leash. Also key ratteling is more noticable. A little disappointing after all the reviews saying, that the QC Ultras a king of ANC
Uh...I have the XM4 at home as well as the QC Ultra and the ANC of the Bose is WAY better than that of the XM4! I clearly have the impression of having the ANC of headphones in earphones, it's crazy! The XM4's is good, but clearly inferior.
do you think they willever fix the crackling in the left earbud in any way (would it be possible with something similar to an update?) And if you send them back for repair, can they fix the problem?
Thanks for this info. I heard a lot about their amazing ANC which is very important to me since I suffer from misophonia. I was considering these buds but the lack of seamless multipoint, weird connectivity issues and buzzing are a hard no go for me. Well... I'm gonna be stuck with over ear headphones for some time until something new comes out. 😢
Can someone please confirm … I just purchased these earbuds paired with a iPhone 15 Pro .. can you talk from each earbud individually or is it only the left one which is the case for me. When I put the right earbud no one can hear me.
I spoke to Bose when I owned my QC Ultra earbuds and they said the buzzing won't ever be fixed and that it's due to components used 🤷 After a little searching they also have the same response on their website so I doubt they will ever fix the problem with an update A slight hiss from your product is normal. Any speaker or headphones designed with batteries and other active electronics may introduce a low-sounding hum or hiss when the power is turned on. This is commonly referred to as a “noise floor” and may or may not be heard by the user. This is normal operation for this type of audio equipment and should only be heard in quiet environments when the power is turned on and no other audio source is playing.
The ANC is really powerful and great on the Bose QC Ultra, but if the earbuds (and I just don't understand why it's only on the left) itself produce this unpleasant sounds it's just hard to accept, especially because my previous QC2 doesn't produce it. One of the reasons why I bought Ultra Earbuds was using them in the noisy place and without music on the background. And in this scenario it's really annoying. Another example is listening to audiobooks. Because there are gaps with silence during reading, so you can hear this sound in the background. It bothered me.
@@thaeih yeah I can't use them myself since the white noise is just too annoying I listen to a lot of audiobooks 😕 hopefully bose can get things right with the next pair but I doubt it

good sound quality but got internal issues after 10 months of using it. which will flashing amber and white light while opening the charging case. now i cant charge my case and reconnect it. yeah, wont buy any of their product again i swear to god 😂
Does anybody else have this problem too? - I just got these earbuds, and I cannot hear the sound of my keyboard and other app sounds. I can only hear the keyboard if a video is playing in the background. 😒Everything else has been working just fine. Multipoint works fine with two devices. Music sounds great with the motion immersion mode.

I know you're trying to be different but these assumptions you're coming up with are time wasting and counter productive.
These absolutely beat the shit out of the Sony WF1000X4/5 and the Bowers and Wilkins Pi8 and yes, I've had all three. Why? 1) The bass is substantially deeper and smoother and more powerful than even the WF1000XM4! 2) There is absolutely ZERO Distortion 3) The build quality design is far superior than both 4) Sound Cancelling is absolutely superior as well 5) You will forget you even have them in 6) Sound Signature is just beautifully done. Think Bose Soundlink Mini 2. Get these without Hesitation.
The Bose Quietcomfort Ultra Earbuds have very good sound, they sound very good but we cannot act crazy, they have to fix the connection failure they have because that is very inconvenient for us users to pay our money and not receive a product as promised Bose has to work on that and other things please
the craclking sound on the left... jesus! I can't believe this is generalized. And it's not only crackling ,at some instances there's some more mechanical noise. I think it's a hardware issue with the bluetooth connection. Probably not solveable. This is a shame becuase no earbuds have the fit and sealing that these have. I can't believe no other company is smart enough to copy the design of the outer seal, which clearly makes the magic, without relying on stupidly sealing around the ear canal (like somy xm5) generating pressure (physical) and discomfort in that area.
Got the bose qc ultras a few days ago. With the new firmware (same as you), I've noticed signal drops all the time, which i dont think is normal. As we can't downgrade the firmware on these, the signal drops is really annoying. I have my s24 ultra, as well as my windows pc connected to it via multipoint at the same time.
It's a shame to see how bad the Bose QC Ultra are in phone calls despite their 4 microphones vs. 3 for the majority of the competition 🤦🏽♂️
