You are supposed to turn the red knob after loosening the black locking handle to tighten or loosen the chain tension. Great review and these are a good bit of gear for the money. They also have a lot more features and better warranty than much more expensive brands.
I’ve just bought one of these and I’m a total rookie and having a bit of trouble. The adjustable nature of the saw makes mine a little unstable. I don’t know if that matters. Did you find that on yours?
Can I ask what size battery you were using, I only use the larger battery when using the chainsaw and always seem to have plenty of power for what I was using it on
One of the tricks using underpowered chainsaws is managing the bite so not stalling. Let the motor spin and check air coolers vents not getting blocked.
I have one of these and its ok but find using it at maximum reach tiring and I need more muscle/ stamina that I have.. I find the Black and Deker version lighter and better for working at maximum reach that I need for the situations that I have most of the time. Just saying.
great explanation and real world demonstration including after cut maintenance. Thanks mate!
Thanks mate

Fun trivia : the timber at base of a tree can be denser than higher in the tree. (Not just thicker)
Salty Daz, gives it a 10, that's all I need to hear
😁👍

The hedge trimmer is brilliant but the chainsaw attachment will not cut properly, its like its not enough power

Anyone tried fitting a longer chain bar and chain on these?
Very useful review, thanks
