I did something similar with just blankets but never thought about using a pool noodle and a carry bag for a chair. One little tip though... the rear bar for the back window can be placed right back into the channel. The tailgate actually holds the bar in place. No need to put it under the top but that’s just my personal preference. Awesome tips though!
Nice video! I'll use this idea next time I get the top down. The only thing I'll change is the blankets; instead of using fleece blankets (that might get full of static and attract dust), I'll get a flannel blanket!
Quick question about the sticker. I’ve wanted to add some to my soft top, I see your vid was posted a couple years ago... how well has it held up? I’ve got a bunch of vinyl stickers so I’m curious how well they stick and hold up.
@@cmplsvpntbllr SORRY....just seeing this now! I've been making my own vinyl stickers for my jeep with my Cricut, and they hold up amazingly. I'm in MN, so they get cold, hot, muddy...and they're still like new after a few years.
This is a great idea that I am going to use to store my soft top windows. Noticed those head rests on the back seat. Do you have a video for how you did that?
Cool video man. I keep leaving my windows at home. My jk is the same way. But I've never seen anyone store them within the top when its been folded down. That I think is a great idea. I'm gonna do that from now on. Also, I've bought spare clear windows off other owners who sell them for whatever reason. It's smart to keep an extra pair stored in case of anything. One time I tried folding my back window in 20 degree weather and little did I know that the plastic had become hard and brittle. The plastic broke!
You can! The soft top will actually have loops at the top to hold the rolled back window in place. Two caveats, though. People report that this technique scratches the back window plastic very quickly, and very badly. Secondly, I don't think you'd want to fold your entire top down with the back window rolled up in there. It would add bulk and prevent the top from folding up in a tidy way.
Hey! I got them here, but they seem to be sold out! www.merchconnectioninc.com/collections/demon-hunter/products/copy-of-demon-hunter-logo-sticker?variant=39154603788
OH wait! You're talking about the white one on my soft window? I made that with a ZIP printer. I got the logo, reversed it in photoshop, then printed it. The ZIP printer prints on small stickers. I printed the logo across SIX stickers, and pieced it together on the window.
Imagine a side window unzipped. The blankets are about as wide as the side windows are long, with a few extra inches in there. Then, the blanket is long enough to fold back over the window, completely covering it.
I looked for them online but didn't see them. BUT every time I've been there, they have them. They're always green. :-) It's been 6 months since I've been there, but I suspect they'd still have them. They're rolled up.
Thanks Jesse, I'll keep an eye out and have to plan a trip sometime to our Ikea (few towns away). I just measured my Windows - 55" Long,, by 25" High...
Brilliant! Schlante to you good sir! You are clearly a Scholar and a Gentleman. Hope IKEA comes through for you.

I’m heading to IKEA tomorrow! Great ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Love this great idea! Especially the chair bag idea!
Simple and brilliant, thanks for sharing Jesse!
I lol’d at daughters awkward obligatory chuckle at 1:20.

Love the DEMON HUNTER sticker man! Thanks for the tips too!! 🤘🏻👍🏻

Great idea!! Super cool, my daughter and I both have keeps with new soft tops for this season. Now I know what to do when running bikini. Thanks
"I'm a man, I don't know this stuff" haha. I use that all the time 👍😎👍
"Like $12? I don't know, I'm not good at math" LOL. Good video.
Similarly, I went to Harbor Freight and got one of the larger furniture covers on sale for around $7. A little more padding even.
It's ok to roll up the edging of the windows?
I think so! They’re stiff to begin but loosen up after a bit.
@@JesseThorstad-personal ok made me nervous. Thank you
Brilliant!! Thank you for sharing! I will be sharing with my Jeep friends. Cheers!
I think I love you. Greetings from Peru. IKEA really needs you.
I was wondering where the rear rail could be stored. Nice video!
Scott, the rail can be laid in the back, butted right up against the roll bars. Then the soft top can be folded down on top of it. Works great!

It’s an after market back seat that had headrests!
@@JesseThorstad-personal Thanks Jesse
Do you have a link to the blanket or at least the dimensions so I can find similar? It looks like ikea has tons of fleece blankets.
Search for “thorgun”
@@JesseThorstad-personal thank u!
Thank you so much!
I LOVE this!!!! Excellent idea :) Thank you so much for the video
What about the hard rubber moldings in the windows?
The soft top doesn't have any moldings so stiff that they can't roll.
Nice vid bro, i’ll definitely use this.
Before you roll windows make sure they are clean, or they will get scratched. Forgive me if u mentioned that in video.. good job 👍🏼

good job my friend love the sense of human
can you just roll the rear window up with out taking it out? just bought a jeep and looking at soft tops

Thank you. No ikea on Kauai, but the Walmart version cost me $11 with noodle
Good to hear!
Good stuff...thanks for making the video
Great Idea!! Please tell me where to order a Demon Hunter decal like the one you have on your rear window?? Thanks

If you left the rod in the rear window glass you could have rolled it the long way
awesome ideas. great video. thanks
Awesome video.
Approximately what is the size of those blankets you bought from IKea?
Imagine a side window unzipped. The blankets are about as wide as the side windows are long, with a few extra inches in there. Then, the blanket is long enough to fold back over the window, completely covering it.
Jesse Thorstad Thanks Jesse! I definitely plan to do this for my Classic Broncos soft top windows. You think Ikea still has those same blankets?
I looked for them online but didn't see them. BUT every time I've been there, they have them. They're always green. :-)

What about placing the rail inside the noodle and rolling it up with the windows?
You could...but that makes the whole bundle too long to fit on the floor behind the seat. I like just having the rail resting on its own!
Great Idea! Wonder about the reasons for the thumbs down...just curious
Because it's the Internet I guess...some people just like to hate!
Those are the people who bought the $90 bag
You never said you have to buy another car to use as a table! That $10 just went to tens of thousands! Lol
hahaha
*additional vehicle purchase required
Is that better? ;-)
That’s funny, Vita. Some of us can still appreciate humor.
Thanks for the video, Jesse!
Thanks for the Video
$5 now, please update rhx
Cool man.
Gotcha
Thanks. Can you make me one? I would be happy to send money first.
I wonder what else he’s rolling...
4 thumbs up!!
Nope, got no problem with that! haha
