Jose GomezFranco dude, are you okay...? trans women are in fact, women. you don't need any sort of surgery to be a woman. congrats, you have no clue what you're talking about, which is typical for transmisogynists. do us all a favor and leave women alone. (also, hi, i'm trans)
The fact that all these trolls are attracted to this site to complain about people they've never met is the very reason that LGBT people need their rights protected.
My mother, God willing and says the same, will celebrate her 89th birthday on June 16,2016. She has countless transgender daughters that she adopted through out her life. My mother is the purest Christian soul I have ever known. She lives by the two greatest commandments given by Jesus. Love God and Love Your Neighbor!!!!! My mother was more than willing to become the surrogate mother for many who had been tossed out of their homes by their only family. As a mother she was deeply offended and truly hurt seeing the pain experienced by these young trans women. My mother raised my brother and me to see life in such a way that before we judge anyone one just take the time and imagine yourself in that person place and living their life as your lot in life. She then would ask us now how do you feel after having live and walked in the other persons shoes. The most profound thing she would say to anyone who did not understand or was highly critical of transgender souls is this, If you keep living long enough with that attitude God will send a transgender soul into your life for you to be tested. It is far more common than anyone can understand. Transgender exist in other species of God's creation. It just requires the inquiring sincere mind to search and find this information before they judge.
+Samanthao49 How wonderful your mother seems. May I inquire if you Mom did this on her own or did she use other people' (eg: taxpayers) money? Countless transgender daughters sounds like an awful lot.
LGBT, you are enjoying your way of life. I'm respecting that right. However, I'm supporting a traditional way to survived on this planet. Other ideas will end humanity.
It is disappointing to see how many people do not support equal rights - effectively arguing FOR discrimination. The world is moving in the other direction (albeit slowly and unevenly).
i don't get why there are so many negative comments. we just want to be treated like people, and it *is* possible to get more than one thing done at a time, especially in a world with over seven billion people.
I'm confused why this video has so many dislikes. Does it not occur to you guys that there are places where lgbt people are persecuted for being themselves? Or maybe I'm missing something- I don't know.
everyones like "there are far more bigger issues than this!!11" and there is of course but today is international day against homophobia and transphobia, jesus christ
People being insensitive to other people's feelings and saying they need to "find a new search engine" need to get over themselves. If they can't realize that transphobia, homophobia, and sexism are big issues that still need to be addressed then they should inform themselves. It is rude and unnecessary for you to say things like that. Criticizing what one organization does to make a difference is wrong and you need to check yourself right now.
to anybody saying they are switching from google: You'll have to give up youtube as well. youtube is a part of google so i guess we'll finally have better users on here! see ya tomorrow when you realize everything else sucks!
I don't understand all the negative comments toward this. It's sending a positive message. I personally don't support the LGBT community but to discriminate against people solely due to their sexuality or that they're trans is just wrong. I agree with this! END THE DISCRIMINATION!!! END THE GENDER INEQUALITY!!
+Destini Xavier It seems like I am on your side more than anyone else. I don't support gay/lesbianism (in fact I hate the concept, bleh). But I don't think anyone should be discriminated. We are all family, we are all God's children. We should at least respect each other. And maybe we can eventually come to love each other.
This comment thread: "Wahh, I'm really homophobic/transphobic but instead of being confronted about it, I'm going to blame another country/people for being MORE homophobic/transphobic than me"...
+SpiritusInfernio Pretty much! haha. That, or the people that say there are more pressing issues to be focused on, like poverty or terrorism, as if supporting multiple causes at the same time was impossible.
+SpiritusInfernio Yes, exactly. They're pointing to something worse to justify their options and actions. It's the "not as bad as" fallacy. "B happened and it's worse than A. Therefore, A is justified."
Even though these rights have been granted in many developed countries, I know that there are still a lot more countries that either do not recognize these unions, restrict its expression, imprison or even give the death penalty to people that do not hold heterosexual preferences. Good job on the video, and I hope that, maybe, the message does help change peoples' outlooks on the LGBT community. (Oh, and I'll admit that many of the comments on this video thus far were so downright hurtful that they were actually pretty funny to give a read. You know who you guys are. c: )
For all of you dropping Google simply because you disagree, I can't wait to find your name when I Google "People I won't miss". I can't believe it's 2016, and so much hatred has resurfaced in the world. Oh wait. Trump. I almost forgot.
+Ray Pell What are you talking about, people are trying to stand up to googles irrational hatred of these people who have trouble accepting trans and homosexual people in their lives. You wouldn't mock an arachnophobe because they can't deal with a spider in their house, so why would you do the same to a transphobe. They have irrational fears and we should support them in this difficult time and help them to change. NOT ostracize them! Fight for acceptance, not hate and discrimination.
I am straight but not narrow. I don't wish to impose my views on others. The comments below mine show why we need to end discrimination against everyone. I am a therapist who works with LGBT folks and they still have to face fear and recriminations just for being born and for expressing who they are. Thank you, United Nations, for bringing this day to us. I hope more people will open their minds to how we as human beings are so diverse but all have the same thing in common - a right to be respected for who you are, no matter how "different" others may perceive you to be. It's finding commonalities amongst our differences and celebrating those differences that makes life such a wonderful journey.
+sheila1965troubles - everyone has the right to their opinion. The problems come when I force you to live or to abide by MY opinions. Live as you wish, don't expect me to live that way and don't force your views and opinions down the throats of me and mine.
I'm saying this respectfully just as an observation, but honestly, they called out major countries, but they didn't call out Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the UAE, or countries like Nigeria for actually often making homosexuality punishable by law or death. Instead, a lot of the focus was on 1st or 2nd world countries where being homosexual isn't exactly illegal...perhaps as to not upset certain UN members.
Always interesting to see how intolerant "tolerant" people get when someone disagrees with them. If you want people to stop hating you and your cause, stop hating people who disagree with you, especially people who disagree with you.
+VladDracula The Impaler Those countries may be worse but that doesn't excuse the west's attitude towards people. Aren't we supposed to lead by example.?
+Shar Thulovaas he's right though. respect is earned. most people in that community are very douchey to Christians and anyone that doesn't happen to agree with their views on life
+Alex Arabie Pointing out the hypocrisy of another is edifying them. Nothing less. So quit trying to make T har comments seem anything other than what they are. Troll.
Why are people saying there are other problems? Just because there are other problems in the world doesn't mean you just ignore the rest and only focus on one problem. Then nothing would get done. Man, why are people sooo close minded nowadays.
+gt propaganda is everywhere. We only get mad when we don't agree with it. I do it too when I see most presidential campaign ads. Businesses are allowed to support whatever they want whether it is large or small. I think it's fine to deny someone service for wearing a rainbow flag, but acknowledge that it's also fair to deny service to someone wearing a cross(I wouldn't do either unless they were being rude and obnoxious or hateful).
it's just a publicity thing, and it only causes division. people are people, male and female. those that oppose the way this world is changing have every right to just as those that embrace these changes. but for google to take a public position is just to cause a stir. which they have.
I see a lot of people saying we have more important matters to attend to. Well there will always be more important matters to attend to. Are you just going to keep blowing this off? Why don't you work on multiple things at a time? You don't want to give people some rights? Is that it?
Leon612 Nah Kumpel, we obviously need a theocracy where we worship some figment of peoples' imaginations. That would be the right choice, obviously. Oh yeah, sociopathy is mandatory, also. You'd be fine with that though, I'm sure.
we are all human beings created the same and having the structure called heart to love whomever however, we should stop focusing on hating the LGBT and use that energy to fight against the crimes in the world # happy IDAHO FESTIVE
I am more inspired to fight my rights in my country. KEEP IT UP GUYS, let's support each other for a better world. LONG LIVE LGBT. lovelots from the PHILIPPINES.....
I am a Baptist Pastors daughter and I am here to tell you right here, Right now, that this video is completely false. We Christians do not 'discriminate' on you. We say how we feel about LGBT+. We don't support it. If you guys get to have your opinions about how you love it, we can our opinions about how we don't. Now, don't get me wrong we love the people, we just dislike their choices of being LGBT+. So please, quit making it seem like we are the bad guys here. We aren't. No one should hate on you for being LGBT+ but if someone doesn't support it then that's not hate. So please understand that people don't 'discriminate' you just because we don't support you.
After serving my country in the Military and in Law Enforcement I am appalled that we have yet learned to get along without judgement. I was considered a hero and a great American. Now that I am a Transgender Woman I am considered a freak. I guess it's a matter of the heart. I have become weary of those I defended for most of my life. However, I still love you no matter what.
Rey H I know what the word condemn means. People who start with definitions...anyways health care and housing hasn't been a problem for homosexuals from what I've seen. And I've worked for HANO (Housing Authority of New Orleans). How does the doctor know you're gay unless you make it your mission to make sure everyone in the hospital knows? How does an insurance company know you're gay? How does a landlord know you're gay? A realtor? A housing agency? How does ANYONE know you're gay? Even if you wear assless chaps, fly a rainbow flag on your car, wear silk mesh t shirts with the nipples cut out, dress as one of four occupations from the YMCA song every Halloween, etc. that STILL doesn't mean you're gay. All my gay friends have healthcare. All of my gay friends both non-subsidized and those who are subsidized (Section 8, Public Housing) haven't had the housing problem. Maybe I don't know because I'm a straight guy and because my friend's experiences haven't been what I see people talking about on RUclips. But I don't want to say too much I need to do some in-depth research on these issues myself and see what's really going on. I've only heard soundbites. Let me really look into this. Thanks for your reply :)
Blakk Blakk Discussing trans rights, since most states can still freely discriminate against them, and when they attempt to do any of these things, their situation can be dreadfully obvious.
Everyone complaining about bigger problems? YEAH WE'RE ALREADY TRYING TO SOLVE THOSE There are more people in the world than this group trying to solve those issues....jfc
Just because I'm not LGBT doesn't mean I'm going to single people out based on their own personal struggles and things they can't control. I know how much it hurts me when someone says I'm not pretty enough or not good enough or that I have no talents or that I go out too much or that I'm too reclusive. It all contradicts each other. Happiness comes from within and you should be able to decide for yourself and make an informed decision about what YOU want. We have no right to make other people suffer for our own personal benefit.
all these people saying that there are "bigger problems to solve" just prove the fact that this issue needs awareness. we are all already aware of the other issues. nobody is saying that other issues are less important. anybody who thinks this is trivial should remember that we all win whenever there is a fight for human rights.
+Mona Bahgat - Unfortunately we are not though. The most important issues (by far) are not being addressed at all. What I am referring to involves the very future of nations, people, and the planet, -not to mention the most basic human and constitutional rights.
The video was made to raise awareness, that is all. It neither is focusing on one group of people, LGBT, but all topics of equality and human rights. People shown have faced their own unique discrimination and that is what they are trying to present. This Topic is as important as any their "major" issue. Besides, most major issues are are only acknowledged because of the amount of media coverage it gets which is based on how much it will trigger the attention of people. Common topics abortion and terrorism. Those issues do not even come close to the reality of this world. Our reality is far harsher and darker than what is currently being focused on, but it is best to start small. This video is trying to reach out to a small number of people who can contribute to furthering humanity in the best way possible. It is not pointing out that a specific group of people are doing them harm. Just the current cultural ideology is which has many similar perceptions from the darker part of human history. It is our job to change that perception to finally reach a point in history where we are not repeating the same disturbing acts of humanity.
+Juancarlos Barragan We need a world where inequality is normal. That will never happen. But if we try we can raise awareness! And maybe some day it can be real.
+Juancarlos Barragan - Awareness of what? Abortion is bad/murder, and terrorism is non-existent. The vast majority of people are totally ignorant to the really important issues, such as saving a nation before we lost all rights and sovereignty at the hands of corrupt people in power who wish to change our country, and gradually remove our rights over time (so we don't notice). And the people (society in general), is totally distracted with sports and entertainment, and Beyonce', and meaningless, things like LGBTQH rights. They have the same rights as everyone else. It's a non-issue.
The amount of negative comments is exactly why this movement needs support. LGBT people are not treated with the same decency and respect as cisgender people. Until the fear, hate, anger and indifference towards the LGBT community is extinguished, expect more "days", marches, protests, and activism.
I'm transgender myself, and for all of you saying, "There are more important issues than trans rights" or "transgender people don't need rights," thank you for virtually saying I'm not human.
+PandoraDaFoxx Its not that Foxx... its just that we dont care how you see your gender.. bottom line. Its not my business and its tiring and in appropriate for you to make others have to deal with your situation. How you see yourself and how you have sex is none of my business and I dont want to know about it or have to hear about it. Just because you dont want to be your biological gender doesnt give you special consideration or rights. you and i currently have the same rights and we are both humans that are equal. No extra rights for how you have sex or how you see yourself! Then we are no longer equal as you have extra rights that I dont have. peace and love
This is an important issue. 41% of transgender people kill themselves because others don't acknowledge their real gender. 50% attempt suicide before they're even 20. Thankfully, my faith in God has gotten me to 20 without a single suicide attempt (there were times I was seriously considering it, though). We're not asking for new rights. We asking that our existing rights don't get taken away. Up until now, we've been able to use whichever bathroom we feel most comfortable with. And I can 100% guarantee that you've used the bathroom with a transgender person before, whether you knew it or not. And no one was hurt. In fact, transgender people themselves are WAY more likely to be hurt in a public bathroom. 70% have experienced some sort of negative reaction when in the bathroom, ranging anywhere from teasing to rape to murder. But now, people like Gov. Pat McCrory in North Carolina are blatantly targeting transgender people and alienating them from the rest of the population. And there is no legitimate argument in defense of these bills/laws. We just need to pee like literally everyone else. And just a side note, I really have no interest in having sex.
Very proud to work for the UN and to ensure that we all understand that We the Peoples... means all people including LGBT people. This is a profound message of human rights, ensuring human rights makes peace and development possible for all.
I'm surprised and disappointed at the number of negative comments here! This is a very real issue, and very important in millions of lives, Right Now. So what if we have heard this song before(a million times). It fits! Stop refusing to evolve, Humans!! Learn to love. Think of the universal Golden Rule.
+Rachel Larson Long Yeah. There are others associated with the UN who also want God's laws replaced with actually godless platitudes of human origin, so that everything is deemed "acceptable" to the masses - EXCEPT what God Himself scripturally mandated, for the true good of humanity. This issue currently is a primary case of exactly that. So, with that, WHO do you think the UN (like the rest of the ruling entities of man) is actually serving the interests of? God? Or, the enemy of God - who has always beckoned humans to ignore God's laws, and just do whatever they feel like? And the world is in WHAT condition, for most people already generally following the "Do What Thou Wilt" philosophy??
+Nathan Thorne I agree. My parents are both Christian and do not support LGBTQ activity (I do), but even so, my mom always taught me to be polite and civil to everyone. You don't get a say in other people's love lives or their feelings.
What is "homophobia"? I know what "arachnophobia is - a fear of spiders. "hydophobia" is - a fear of water. I know what "achluophobia" is - a fear of darkness. I honestly have been puzzled by the description "homophobia". Who is actually afraid of gay or transgender people? is this a real thing? If I don't approve it doesn't mean I am afraid. Its a personal, moral position, not a fear.
+Rich Rushforth Homophobia isn't fear of gays, it is "dislike or prejudice against homosexual people". So yeah, if you don't approve of homosexuality that would put you in the category of a homophobe (could fall under both dislike and prejudice, although you will most likely try to use semantics to categorize it as something else)
I have no issues with gays, i have no issues with transgenders. I do however have an issue with people having so much pride that they have to have an entire day to themselves to "raise awareness" of the abuse. News flash, if you are trying to prevent people from being mean to you, shoving it down everyone's throat in the means of making a day dedicated to it IS NOT the way to do it.
Dan Rel Actually, that's incorrect. If you'd used Google during that month, you would have seen far more than a tiny link at the bottom of the page. You'd have seen Google changed its logo to a 'doodle' of Frederick Douglass, an abolitionist. Source: searchengineland.com/frederick-douglass-google-doodle-opens-black-history-month-celebrating-revered-u-s-abolitionist-241474 So what you've really done is blow this whole thing out of proportion...either out of a desire to be offended and rant about things, or as an excuse to rail against equal rights for LGBT. Either that, or you simply didn't know...
+Dan Rel (Pika Pichu) An entire day? Like, Columbus Day? St. Patrick's Day? Wow, a whole 24 hours to remind people that gays, lesbians and TG people are threatened, beaten, and murdered for simply being who they are - and that there are laws all over the world that makes them criminals for just living. Yeah, a whole day is sure asking a lot of people.
***** You act as if the holidays you just stated only effect certain groups. I am Asexual and an Aromantic, I avoid relationships so valentines day has never been important to me, however I accept that it effects everyone in it. Christmas is a family oriented time of year, even then depending on your religion you may or may not participate in it and not all areas of the globe do and it certainly does not say "hey look at me I'm being hurt and i wish to throw attention to myself in hopes to fix it. out of personal experience that makes it worse. it throws a "give me attention" swing of things. which would make people like myself who avoid people looking for attention on the web just scroll by, i was only going to comment on this video then be gone. however I am currently just replying to comments.Brendan Dyament thank you for giving me a reference, i will look into it. i actively enjoy educational discussions without capping and hatred torwards others (sort of counterproductive to the meaning of this video of to stop the discrimination and hatred if you ask me). I wish others were like you. (side note, I have an appointment to make i will reply to the remaining comments later on if needed)
I wish the world responded like this against abortion or the Christian genocide in the Middle East. They're people too. :( We all need and deserve prayers, protection, and rights. All of us. Every. Single. One.
"Homophobia" and "Transphobia" are ridiculous labels. If someone finds gays/lesbians/transgenders to be wrong or unnatural, then that doesn't mean that they fear gays/lesbians/transgenders! Also, people need to scrap the whole "Today is ____ Day" tradition, because dedicating just a day of your time to anything -- mothers, fathers, an inspirational historical figure, etc. -- is stupid. Essentially, everybody cares only for that day and then moves on...
+PurifyHD Google should just focus on being a search engine, not an advocate for a VERY small percentage of humans... It could spend its time on much more useful things, such as world hunger. Or curing cancer even.
I'm on my path as a born again christian and I can't fully support these groups anymore but I will continue to defend them against physical harm and harassment.
Beautiful and inspiring video! The anti-LGBT bigotry displayed in the comments proves exactly why we must keep fighting for the (oh-so-outrageous) right to love whoever we want.
Almost all of these comments are disgusting, none of you have any idea what it's like to be part of LGBTQ+ community and discriminated against because of who you love or how you identify.
Genuinely curious as to why people waste energy on being hateful and intolerant towards other people. Do you all seriously care that much about other people's life choices? Let em be.
What year is this...but it's your freedom to believe and think what you want that is because you are free to do that. Now in other parts of the world it's not. I am not an activist I am not a crusader. I'm a man who sees that little pieces of ignorance and just plain stupidity can add up to a lot of hate. Why not just love? It feels great to be loved, to share love. So why not just push love instead of ignorance. It's just that simple, but I guess not. I can't believe the Likes and Dislikes are about the same. Now that shocks me. Pressing Like doesn't make you different, it makes you show that you respect other humans around the world. Peace.
Wow. Words cannot describe what this video made me feel. It's beautiful to see all these people from all over the world fighting to end this discrimination.
What I wanna know is why can't everyone be happy and treat each other equally. It doesn't take much, just smile at someone who walks past you. Complement people on one little thing. There is going to always be hate in the world, but just as John Lennon said, "Imagine"
Dear United Nations, as someone born in the Western World, I want to personally thank you for embracing the myth of equality and so forcing that concept down everyone throat for the entire planet. Wonderfully job by the way but in reality the United Nations track record is a joke. Does anyone remember the Rwandan genocide? So the organizations foundation by Western powers after the largest war in human history and after two centuries of western imperialism promote Western values including capitalism while also claiming to had the moral high ground plus being tolerance. Who was it that divided up Africa during the Scramble for Africa? Then you had the dumbest concept in human history, human rights. Which is basically humanity worship of itself. So thank you for proving that imperialism still exist today however it had changed strategies. Also you may want to get on the issue that the United Nations actual don't had any real political power since 1) it lack it own military and 2) it depending upon it member states. Because without them you can't even enforced your on rule, brilliant! Also you want to embracing equality but is anyone actual going to mentioned the inequality in wealth between the Western World and everyone else? Seem to me that you promoted Western values and anyone who reject those values is label as a "bigot." So again thank you United Nations for proving that humanity hadn't actual came that far.
1. I support this 2. I support this because it's not telling everyone that gays are better than straights or that trans are better than cis because That's not true. It's just saying that everyone's equal.
+Ryan Hall and also a new video sharing website, since Google owns RUclips...since you're so eager to ditch Google, I assume you will close your RUclips account as well? Thought not.
We all have blood that flows through our veins, we are all connected to each other,we can do more good together. KEEP THE Peace,in the world we all need everyone to keep Earth alive. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion that is what keeps the balance.
As a trans woman, I think this is really awesome of Google for their support. My hopes are to live my life as comfortably and free from hate as possible. I think people would see that i'm a good, honest, and fun person if they were to know me. I think most people are good in general and if they practice tolerance, compassion, and non-judgment, then the world would sure be a better place to live for all.
Great idea, I wish that such things didn't have to be fought for, people shouldn't be discriminate, it's a tough fight. I wish Google and these people good luck, and will support where I can.
+Samuel vi Britannia What's sad is that your comment only has 2 "likes," where as most of the hateful comments have many. This shows how important it is that we push an issue like this. If we can't even demolish this ignorance and have equality, then there's no way we'll ever fix drastic issues like world hunger.
As a straight man I will say I promise to stand up for any gay people being harassed for being who they are.
+ComputerNoises agreed
+ComputerNoises we need more people in the world like you
+ComputerNoises Real men aren't afraid to stand up. We need more guys like you in this world.

Honestly I think it's more mature for massive companies to stay neutral on social issues
+Ethan Salisbury Exactly how is it mature to condone bigotry?
This song is so cliche for this kind of stuff. I eye rolled at the first 3 notes... am I the only one?
+Aiden Hall i like and support the message but ive never seen anything more right than this
Hey buddy, guess what?
Turn off the volume.
I don't understand why so many people are against the video ?
Aireona McNair Christians need to be reminded that not everyone thinks like them or should be forced to think like them.
Well at least it will fix the overpopulation problem...
You know who you guys are. c: )
+ArctusDracon "hurtful" Really
*****
***** You sound like my dad (not a good thing)
+ArctusDracon Very well said! :3
we have no right to judge. that is GODS right. we need to accept and show love to all..............
bless us all. amen and amen
+d sanders Thank you. There's so much hate from both sides it's nice to see a purely positive message. God bless.
Was going to watch this, then that song came on...
+Connor McReynolds That song ruined for everyone.
+Connor McReynolds LOL!!!! Yeah... Of all the awesome artists and musical talent out there, they pick this one???
+Connor McReynolds so mute it lol
Or you could, you know, mute the video.
Because a song you don't like definitely means you can ignore a video like this.
+Connor McReynolds If only there was some sort of mute button...
"Other problems exist, so your problems don't matter" -the majority of this comment section
Nailed it. Just goes to show how selfish and closed minded too many people remain.
+Tod Novak you have a very loose definition of the word "problem"
They want preference, not equality.
I heard Yahoo isn't that bad
+Epic Pander Best one i've seen so far!
+Epic Pander Yahoo isn't that great.
+MrShirt haha
+Epic Pander But youtube is Google's
+Maxwell welcome to the real world
+Maxwell Exactly! Makes you go "Hmm..."
Always interesting to see how intolerant "tolerant" people get when someone disagrees with them. If you want people to stop hating you and your cause, stop hating people who disagree with you, especially people who disagree with you.
+Josh Tripp Amen brother.
On a side note, thank you for your service.
Okay. Go to Iran and Saudi Arabia now and preach about how "homophobic" and "transphobic" the West is.
+VladDracula The Impaler Did you not notice the "global" aspect of this video?
+VladDracula The Impaler Those countries may be worse but that doesn't excuse the west's attitude towards people. Aren't we supposed to lead by example.?
Nah it's just the extremely religious that do this
I will fight for equality until every single person on this planet is treated with dignity and respect.
Why don't lgbt people first treat others with respect?
+Michael Barnett, slandering Christians as homophobes, bigots, and haters is not extending dignity or respect to them.
+T har Because you are being exactly that???
+Shar Thulovaas he's right though. respect is earned. most people in that community are very douchey to Christians and anyone that doesn't happen to agree with their views on life
+Alex Arabie Pointing out the hypocrisy of another is edifying them. Nothing less. So quit trying to make T har comments seem anything other than what they are.
Troll.
Why are people saying there are other problems? Just because there are other problems in the world doesn't mean you just ignore the rest and only focus on one problem. Then nothing would get done. Man, why are people sooo close minded nowadays.
Cringeworthy propaganda video
+gt propaganda is everywhere. We only get mad when we don't agree with it. I do it too when I see most presidential campaign ads. Businesses are allowed to support whatever they want whether it is large or small. I think it's fine to deny someone service for wearing a rainbow flag, but acknowledge that it's also fair to deny service to someone wearing a cross(I wouldn't do either unless they were being rude and obnoxious or hateful).
Great job! Human rights for everyone should be respected!
it's just a publicity thing, and it only causes division. people are people, male and female. those that oppose the way this world is changing have every right to just as those that embrace these changes. but for google to take a public position is just to cause a stir. which they have.
I see a lot of people saying we have more important matters to attend to. Well there will always be more important matters to attend to. Are you just going to keep blowing this off? Why don't you work on multiple things at a time? You don't want to give people some rights? Is that it?
Bring back the 1950's where the chrome was thick and the women straight.
truth
you don't know who is what now
+Leon612 Get out of here, caveman.
Leon612 Nah Kumpel, we obviously need a theocracy where we worship some figment of peoples' imaginations. That would be the right choice, obviously. Oh yeah, sociopathy is mandatory, also. You'd be fine with that though, I'm sure.
+Leon612 They weren't all straight they just hid it!
TIme to switch search engines.
+davjan4 I wish clicking the dislike button actually did something for comments...
+davjan4 You should stop using RUclips then, as well. RUclips is a part of Google.
+davjan4 agreed
+davjan4 Okay bye, no one cares!
+davjan4 Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
we are all human beings created the same and having the structure called heart to love whomever however, we should stop focusing on hating the LGBT and use that energy to fight against the crimes in the world # happy IDAHO FESTIVE
That's gayer than this video.
seems like you are too familiar with the word GAY, Do you know what it means or who it refers to!!
+suzzane viona Well said.
+suzzane viona BUT FIRST we focus on this and not fighting the crimes in the world. Genius.
atrusion ikr
I am more inspired to fight my rights in my country. KEEP IT UP GUYS, let's support each other for a better world. LONG LIVE LGBT. lovelots from the PHILIPPINES.....
Love is love! NO a la Homofobia, Transfobia y Bifobia. Derechos Humanos para todas las personas #whywefight
I'll try out Mars or the moon.
Haha
After serving my country in the Military and in Law Enforcement I am appalled that we have yet learned to get along without judgement. I was considered a hero and a great American. Now that I am a Transgender Woman I am considered a freak. I guess it's a matter of the heart. I have become weary of those I defended for most of my life. However, I still love you no matter what.
People have the right to be gay and I have the right to condemn them for it
Rey H
I know what the word condemn means.
YEAH
WE'RE ALREADY TRYING TO SOLVE THOSE
There are more people in the world than this group trying to solve those issues....jfc
Perhaps I should try out Bing
+M. It's a trap. It's a lot worse than Google. Trust me. I've been there.
Allison The Human You wanna explain how it gets better? I'm actually confused at that statement.
Thanks for putting this important conversation front and center today, Google!
why are so many people so angry? they act as if this doesnt need to be addressed.
all these people saying that there are "bigger problems to solve" just prove the fact that this issue needs awareness. we are all already aware of the other issues. nobody is saying that other issues are less important. anybody who thinks this is trivial should remember that we all win whenever there is a fight for human rights.
+Mona Bahgat
all humans have a right for food, shelter, and opportunity for a job. why can't we focus on that?
+Mona Bahgat Tell that to the oppressed in saudi arabia and ISIS i'm sure we all win one way or the other
+Mona Bahgat - Unfortunately we are not though. The most important issues (by far) are not being addressed at all. What I am referring to involves the very future of nations, people, and the planet, -not to mention the most basic human and constitutional rights.
In all seriousness, why does this have so many dislikes?
PC
+Sean Harman
Because Saudi Arabia is head of UN human rights panel and UN is trying to release good-feel propaganda videos.
+Sean Harman Because there are a lot of heartless jerks in the world.
+Pepe Roni I'm pretty sure that more than 0.0214 people worldwide are gay.
+Sean Harman The song.
+Juancarlos Barragan Raise awareness? They've been spewing this shit for a decade.
The amount of negative comments is exactly why this movement needs support. LGBT people are not treated with the same decency and respect as cisgender people. Until the fear, hate, anger and indifference towards the LGBT community is extinguished, expect more "days", marches, protests, and activism.
I hope that LGBT is able to make lesbian, gay, bi and trans have equality.
that's a disappointing amount of dislikes.
What is the deal with all the dislikes? Who does not want to end murders and help to lower the suicide rate among the young?
Omar Osman SO TRUE
Jesse Watson Ah yeah, those types. It can be pretty annoying when they do that.
Tolerance is different from acceptance. I am for tolerance so I guess I partially agree with this video's message.
+RollTide1987 Agreed
+RollTide1987 Gee thanks, for the crumbs Roll, and Joel. You should be so proud of yourselves...NOT!
I feel like even if we disagree with this, we still need to treat them as people.
+Nathan Thorne I agree. My parents are both Christian and do not support LGBTQ activity (I do), but even so, my mom always taught me to be polite and civil to everyone. You don't get a say in other people's love lives or their feelings.
So much bigotry in the comments section.
+Doxie Lain True. So many comments with so little thinking.
It's wonderful to see this as a day in the public eye.
any more of this and google will no longer be my homepage nor will I use it for a search engine
Great news Google. Great respect for you. Sincerely
+William Dawkins Don't give Google credit, it's the globalists you should be thanking.
This is awesome. The shot of Ban Ki-Moon at the end brought tears to my eyes. Score one for the UN.
+Dan Rel (Pika Pichu) probably couldnt have said it better myself
Dan Rel
Actually, that's incorrect. If you'd used Google during that month, you would have seen far more than a tiny link at the bottom of the page. You'd have seen Google changed its logo to a 'doodle' of Frederick Douglass, an abolitionist.
Source: searchengineland.com/frederick-douglass-google-doodle-opens-black-history-month-celebrating-revered-u-s-abolitionist-241474
So what you've really done is blow this whole thing out of proportion...either out of a desire to be offended and rant about things, or as an excuse to rail against equal rights for LGBT.
*****
You act as if the holidays you just stated only effect certain groups.
I am fourteen and my moms are lesbians. I'm proud. Thank you for fighting for my moms, no matter how low the dislike bar.
sorry charlie, if people are different, they are not mentally ill.
Well I guess I'm not using Google anymore.
why?
+Michael Pannizzoo Now that comment is hilarious!
+Michael Pannizzoo no one will you miss you lol
Anony X hahaha love it
FluffableFox salty lol
People that are leaving Google because they are supporting humans... Have fun at Bing... And see you at Google tomorrow!
***** Pretty much xD
+Belle Then he started talking about a world without religion.
Way to teach equality by discriminating against theists...
I think we have bigger problems.
Alturi supports global LGBTI equality. Thanks to UN Free and Equal for gathering global activists and highlighting their dreams for a more just world!
If you are selling a product/service, keep your political views to yourself Google.
+John Silar What political view are they pushing? What is so wrong with the video?
+John Silar They can do as they please. You will use their services anyways.
*The dislikes and the likes makes me wanna cry, such heartless people don't even pay attention to the sweetest people who are trying to help LGBT*
1. I support this
2. I support this because it's not telling everyone that gays are better than straights or that trans are better than cis because That's not true. It's just saying that everyone's equal.
Well, it looks like it's time to look for a new search engine
+Ryan Hall Bye
+Ryan Hall I'm sure Google will go bankrupt please don't go :(
+VERONICA WOOD well said.
+Ryan Hall Good riddance, you people are all on the wrong side of history.
LETS MAKE THIS WORLD EQUAL! NO RACISM NO SEXISM NO BODY SHAMING NO RELIGION DISCRIMINATION!
+Sins Clan Good luck with that........
If we can't even demolish this ignorance and have equality, then there's no way we'll ever fix drastic issues like world hunger.
duffman102 Thank you, I appreciate the insight.
