While I understand these videos are more directed to other women, I'm a guy and grew out my hair for religious & cultural reasons. These videos really help me take care of my hair as not anyone just can touch my hair in my folk religion! My turnaround time for CGM was actually a lot faster than most people (probably since I didnt use a lot of heat styling to begin with). maybe 2-3 weeks?
This was me too. Well, not in a religious way...I just never did anything to my hair. So, all I really did for CGM was switch to sulfate-free and silicone-free (and all the "frees") products 😊 That was about it. I learned a lot of technique though, like s2c and reducing dry frizz, which goes a long way in making my hair look way nicer and not stringy!
Same here haha. I have extremely fine hair that is easily damaged, and i already color my hair, so i have been using really good products and no heat for years now. The main thing i got from these videos was technique, so i was lucky enough to notice a difference literally the first day. Thanks courtney!
Same for me my hair always air dries and I hadent used straightner or curling iron for years when I started and the health improvements were noticable for me handling the hair after a couple washes and by others after a few weeks
1:25 You are picking the wrong products. 2:51 Wrong application method. 4:16 You have the wrong haircut. 6:35 You have the wrong expectations. 8:16 Wrong expectation of time frame.
Oh my gosh I LOVE how your hair turned out today! It looks so full and curly and fluffy! Absolutely stunning! I was surprised when I heard you saw that you didn't like the way it turned out. I think it looks so stunning. You should do this look more often! Thanks again for all that you do! Love you to bits.
I think this is actually the result from her last video ... the product battle one? So it was a middle part and not as wet and styled right side up? ..... pretty sure. She's wearing the same shirt lol
Hey Courtney, I’m 15 months into my CGM journey and am pleased at my progress. Still figuring out technique and products for consistently good washdays but I’m having more than I used to 👍🏻 And I think your hair looked great in this video!! I know your hair is much shorter now but #hairgoals !! Thanks for all you do for us wavy/curlies❤
Taking nothing away from how your hair usually looks, I love how your hair looks in this video. For myself I love volume so maybe that's why, we're all different aren't we 🙂
I watched this two weeks ago when you posted, and I was making every single one of these mistakes. My hair thanks you because my curls have never looked better! I was using way too little product apparently thinking it would make my hair more voluminous but instead I had no hold and my curls would just fall out. Styling upside down with oodles of gel and now I’m Shirley temple for days!
Hi sweety! I’m italian and I’m a “wavily curly” girl! I started to love my hair a couple of years ago when I turned them red as fire, but I never understood how to stop frizz and dehydratation. Then I found you a couple of days ago and I decided to try your technique to apply products and to dry your hair... I just went through my first wash day and I’m shocked! No tangles, no dehydratation... what the heck!!!! My clumps are gorgeous right now and as soon as possible I’ll scrunch to see final results! Say Thank you is not enough but that’s all can write with my little bit of english! I’m so thankful for your videos!!!!!!
My hair looked HORRIBLE for the first couple of months, and it's just now on the upswing! It is definitely a challenge to stick with it and try so many different products, techniques, and combos. As a fellow wavy, my curl pattern starts around ear level. I had spirals forming with my grown out, overdue for a cut hair, but it was SO FLAT! Since a trim & some long layers, there aren't many true curls, but I feel more like myself with lighter layers, movement, and volume. Thank you for helping others accept their individuality, and for another great, helpful video!
Courtney, please please please can you give us a description of what to ask for when getting a haircut as wavies? I don’t feel like I communicate well with my hairdresser! And I want a great cut to help my waves. Thank you for all the tips!
I think even something as simple as calling our hair journey a healthy hair journey or a wavy girl/hair journey can do so much. it subconsciously defines our goals as having healthy and/or wavy hair as opposed to reaching that "curly" goal. ever since ive called my hair journey my wavy hair journey I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and expectations of having curly 3a hair have gone down. ALSO theres a wavy hair subreddit that has been really helpful
When I was at school I would straighten my hair to be dead straight every single day 😫 I hated the fact it would start to wave throughout the day or if it got wet. I desired straight hair like everyone else. Years on I’m embracing my natural waviness and trying to care for them to bring out the natural curl and I really can’t wait to see what my hair has to offer. Thank you for the advice from a complete beginner!! 😁❤️❤️
I love my waves, even though they aren't yet as healthy and happy as I believe they can be. I'm still early in the journey (about a month), and am grateful I discovered your channel because I've learned a lot and have been able to begin with more realistic expectations regarding the points you made in this video.
I know that the curly hair transition takes a while and I kept telling myself that I knew it wasn't an overnight miracle, and I would reap the benefits soon. I looked at it like a diet. I didn't get chubby overnight, and I wasn't going to be stick thin without patience and some work. I needed to be conditioned into a routine. I can tell that the method is working because every wash day, my hair looks better, no matter what combination of products I use. Patience...don't pray for it, but when you have it, you are blessed! 😊💗
Thank you for your videos! I am very new to not just the CGM (only about a month) but textured hair in general. My hair has been naturally stick straight my entire life, and now, all of the sudden after having my second son and cutting my hair from waist length to shoulder length, my hair is wavy. I have been so lost on what to do with my hair and to take care of it and your videos have helped me soooo much! I know I have a long way to go, but your hair journey and so many others I’ve seen give me hope that I won’t be stuck with a frizzy mess! THANK YOU!!!
+1 to all the comments on Courtney's hair today! I love it. Would love to see a video on the techniques that lead to wavy vs. curly results 😍. Please do this look more often, it's probably much easier for 2A/ 2B's to get this look
These are all great ideas! I have been doing the Curly Girl Method since March, and I have been shocked by how long it has taken for my hair to become healthy. I credit my ability to improve in the areas of application technique and product selection to you and the invaluable help you gave me in the two curl consultations we had. You immediately knew, upon just seeing my hair via Zoom, what changes I needed to make and why. As soon as I made the changes you suggested, my progress really began. The difference was VERY dramatic. I feel that many aspects of the Curly Girl Method are somewhat counterintuitive and different from other hair styling approaches. I could not have done it without you! I will schedule my third consultation when I have a new list of questions! Thank you so very much for all you have done for me and all you do for others! It is wonderful to see women supporting and encouraging women!
Honestly I love your hair like this the best! 😍😍 I love this ‘slightly deconstructed but full of volume beachy waves’ look more than the ‘perfect wave clumps, but not much volume’ look. It’s way sexier on you 😃
Courtney, whatever application technique you used today you should do it more. In my personal opinion this is the BEST I have ever seen your hair look. So beachy and mermaid like. Makes me envious
You are so stunning!! I personally think you've reached your goal of looking like a beach mermaid princess haha! I'm wanting to start my wavy hair journey - thank you for your content, bingeing through it now. God bless xx
I am so excited to get my hair cut. I always just got blunt cuts because I thought that was what I wanted. Booked in with a hairdresser who cuts curls/waves for December 3rd!
I'd love a video on the different application techniques, roping, praying hands etc. I've seen you do different ones in your assorted wash day videos but to have them all detailed in one place would be really helpful, I think.
I think you forgot another important mistake for waives: not protecting your hair! We waives need to protect our hair when we sleep and when we put it up. That’s using something to either sleep on or cover our hair at night, that’s using gentle scrunchies to hold our hair. We can experience breakage and will lead to more frizz!! Lots of waives think that they don’t need to do this because their hair is much looser but they couldn’t be more wrong!
@@crystamarie4513 you can use thing that will protect your hair like: silk/satin scrunchies, satin/silk pillow case, satin/silk hair wrap, and gentle handling
TRUTH!! 🙌🏼 my hair was much easier to deal with when I started sleeping on a silk pillowcase and wearing a silk bonnet. I always thought those were for curlies/coilies only.
Omg so thankful I found this, my waves have not been liking some “curly hair” products and they loosen my waves 😭 I hope to get my waves to look like yours( my original texture). Thank you for sharing! 💗
Did CGM for 6 months and gave up (maybe I just wasn't curly enough) but did improve the condition immensely. Now a year later I have some new insights (thanks to you) and new products cause everything I bought has expired. Think the main problem I had was webbing instead of clumping so it looked really messy. Excited to try some of your techniques to see if I can go out in public without wearing a scarf lol. Thanks for all you do for us hair challenged ladies.
this is SO TRUE!!!!!!!! I've been wave/curl training my hair for MONTHS and I'm still huntung for the right products for my hair and I 100% am in need of a new haircut.
SO helpful to be reminded of the time element. It’s easy to get discouraged. I think my hair has similar waves as yours but you have a lot more. I wish! And I still can’t figure out how to get more volume on top even when I “fluff“. Mine is kind of flat
I've been following CGM for 6 months in, I finally found a good routine that gives me results I love. I can usually even get it to look similar each wash day, which is a huge improvement over the first 3 months. I desperately need a hair cut and layers cut back in so I am really looking forward to see what my hair does with some weight taken off my hair. The first 2-3 months I took a lot of pics and when I look back on them, my hair looks so much better now! It's funny to think what I considered a good wavy day then to now. ☺
Great video! Love the Jean analogy! It works! I've tried almost every pair available, and know the best method for me. Upside down, soaking wet hair. I did end up discovering I have ringlets, but my hair needs length to form them...so I've learned long layers work for me. The main thing I've learned is patience and experimentation are the key to beautiful hair.
I like your hair in this video. Your hair is always so shiny and never frizzy! I’m so jealous 😂. My hair is not super curly, but thicker and coarser than yours. My hair really needs moisture and I’m at a loss about finding a quick styling method and what to use. I don’t like the dry curly haircuts and find they mess up my layers and leave them looking uneven.
I have to say THANK YOU for the Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee recommendation. It gives an excellent cast but completely crunches away to leave soft defined curls. I read Amazon reviews on hair styling products. SOOO, many products get poor reviews bc the ladies say they make their hair hard and crunchy. I wonder if they *tried* to break the cast but it too hard 😳 or if they don’t know that a cast and scrunching it out will leave soft, frizz-free curls?
How long do you think you should use a product for before deciding if it's for you? Like how do you know if it's just a "it takes time" thing or if it's just not the right one for you? Your videos are super helpful btw ❤️
Meanwhile I become shirley temple lol. I started with Waves like yours and they have transformed to 3c with some 3b curls. It's getting curlier and curlier. 20 years of flat ironing my hair daily I had destroyed my curls😱.
Omg the time!! It took about 8 months for me to see a difference and about 1.5-2 years for my hair to like me. Still has it's days but we have an understanding.
Love your content! I am still struggling with what products I really should be using after a year and I know my hair is still transitioning. But I'm really interested in seeing a video on how to know what kind of hair cut is best. I go to curly specialist but feel like I have to drag info out of her and I don't really see how she is cutting my hair and different than someone 1/3 of her cost. Thanks for all your help you have been a great guide through my journey so far! 💜
Wavy all the way over here, I have 1 ringlet and embrace it. Finally like my hair the way God created it. And my hair likes silicones, hates coconut oil and glycerin. It's been a journey 😂. And my hair responds really well to a do it yourself unicorn cut! People keep asking me where I get it cut lol and colored. I'm a wavey silver sista! Thanks for the motivation 👍❤️
Hi Courtney! I'd love to see ideas for haircuts /styles that we wavies could try. There aren't any curly/wavy hair salons here in Greece, so there's not much hope.. I've been disappointed many times already and I'd like to go there next time ready to ask something more specific for me :) Hopefully after a few times I'll finally find what works for me! Thanks!
Best video yet as it really helped to manage my expectations. Thanks! I’m really just trying to learn why people do certain steps so I can then decide the best way and product for me within the philosophy.
I started the curly girl method some time ago and I didnt get the curls I knew from my teenage years but I did notice quite fast improvement in the health of the hair. I suddenly spend a lot less time on detangling my very long hair. I need a different cut to get the curl action i desire and im not sure I have the patience or time to do the styling but im lovning the healthier hair.
I started wearing my waves again in Junecafter 15 years of consistently straightening. Its Oct andbim ststtingvto see more defined/ tighter curl pattern. I love the Zotos low poo and conditioner. I prefer cutl creams to gels. Still learning .
I agree with everything she is saying! I had hip length hair and straightened it everyday because the weight made my hair look terrible! I've started my wavy hair journey and I cut my hair into a shag and it's the waviest/curliest it's ever been! Layers is a MUST! My hair near my crown is curly and forms ringlets and also the back no one ever sees...but the rest is wavy. I've been doing everything she stated for about 9 months and barely starting to see results! PATIENCE IS KEY!
I get the strong hold gel thing. Soft hold gels often dont make it half a day in my hair, and second day its just a frizzy mess. Thats why my bounce curl hairspray is my holy grail, I use it all the time to add more strength to my gel.
You were so sweet! It’s actually from my last video where I used to different style of theirs on either side of my head. I just parted my hair to the side and fluffed the heck out of it.
I will say after only one wash with sulfate-free products, and avoiding dry-brushing my wavy hair, I am already pleased with the results. Yes my hair is still frizzy and I didn’t expect it not to be after one wash. But I am pleased with the fact that I can SEE WAVES when normally my hair is just floof. So maybe I don’t have unreasonably-high expectations, but I’m already pleased with the progress my hair is making using CGM :)
Your videos are so helpful; I have high porosity curls but I still find your tips sooo helpful. I have a vid suggestion! What if you tried doing consults for people and seeing how your tips and suggestions helped them? :) I’d be so excited to see the results
Thank you so much for the wealth of information you always provide! I have learned so much from your techniques (especially application and your hold scale!). I am noticing improvement in the overall health of my hair and know so much of it came from tips you've given. A million thanks!!!
Thankyou for this!❤️ So good be able to recognize someone else with the same hair ,and problems. 😍who understands. I have wavy hair and corkscrews as Well , but only from the ears on down . I also have fine hair, and it’s only half of your amount. And it gets oily and greasy fast. 🤷🏻♀️😢 I have been on this Journey for a long time. First used CO Washing, but it did not work for me . Then 2 years of only Water wash ,not fun but I was persistent . Then about 4 years ago ,I started going to a hairdresser that is good at cutting curly hair ,and she makes her products herself ,and it was wonderful. I only wash once a week ,sometimes I wanted to do it 2 times ,but put potato starch in and moved it around a bit ,and it helped. And when I wash ,I use moroccan clay or low poo shampoo or conditioner or honey. But since a while back ,I’ve been noticing ,that the wax i use for my saved/curls and for volume at the top,is getting my hair oily. It is difficult, because many products can make my hair feel and look this way. The trouble is ,that my hairdresser ( her products) does not listen ,but thinks that maybe I schould try doing without it... but my curls don’t show then ! She also had a gel but all if her products also contain oils to be very caretaking of the hair. From the shampoo to the styling . Maybe it is too much for my hair . And she is very reluctant when I suggest maybe trying another gel or anything ,she thinks it Will ruin the hair . And I don’t enat that of course not! But my hair like yours ,likes a lot of hold and texture. But my hairdresser thinks that if they have a great hold they contain bad things . And she deras that I would once again have to start using harsh shampoos to get rid of it . I have also thought about starting using spray again ( plastic is fantastic 😂) but then I would have to start using sulfatets again to get it off. Can you Please recommend a gel and something that gets texture in the hair ,that I would be able to but from where I live ,in Sweden?❤️🙏 My hair is typical Scandinavian very soft .
My hair does better with point cutting and texture too. I have a LOT of hair, and it's pretty thick, so having my hair textured and thinned out is a must for me. That being said, I'm just now at 30 discovering that my hair is wavy. For YEARS I thought my hair was just straight and frizzy because I'd stuck to long layers or blunt bobs that just weighed my hair down. I got a "wolf-esque" haircut with short layers a few weeks ago, and my 2b waves and even a few 3a curls came out of the woodwork. I've wanted curly/wavy hair my entire life, so I am diving headfirst into embracing my new waves and following the CGM to make the most of my natural hair. I've very rarely heat-styled my hair for at least the past 5 years, so that part should be easy. I do have to say, I'm going to miss the "wash and go" nature of my "straight" hair, but I know I can always go back to that on no-product days. And I'll admit, I was excited to have a reason to use the diffuser attachment for my hairdryer for the first time yesterday.
My hair is curly but it’s a loose curl id say 3A with sections of 2C maybe even 2B on more damaged sections and even I was having unrealistic expectations of tighter ringlets. You cannot change your curl pattern.
Ummmmmm your hair today is my goal 😍 I am soooooo appreciative of this channel & all the info & experiences you share with us, thank you so, so much!!!
I think this is my favorite video from you! Your hair looks stunning!! And your makeup and the color of your shirt all go together so perfectly! Great advice 💕
Totally agree with the light products not working so well. I normally use 3-4 products on wash day which many people think is excessive, but it’s what allows me to go 3-4 days between washes and wear my hair own with minimal refreshing needed.
I was doing the curly girl thing without knowing it and I couldn’t believe how my hair was getting curly! Crazy! I need a hair gel or mousse but have no idea what to buy. I use only organic products.
This is more like my hair usually looks, not your usual defined clumps & waves. I hate when mine gets that way but mines a lot shorter so I cant even throw it into a super cute messy bun lol I'm just figuring out moisture/protein balance for me & my daughter, which has been the bane of my existence. Having that right really makes all the difference
What a great analogy-jeans! I have mostly 3B/3C hair but over my ears on one side it’s a 2C/3A depending on what products I use). Thanks for the help! I have been doing this for 4 years and the more I figure out my own hair’s needs the more healthy it is😊
Your hair looks Beeeaaauuuuutiful today like it always does! I absolutely adore you, Courtney! What I need to find now is someone to tell me which haircut is perfect for my curls, which is the perfect product, and how perfectly to apply it!! Any ideas?!?! 🤔🤔
This was very spot on, I've definitely made allllll of those mistakes in the past few months! Still in dire need of a better haircut lol. Thanks for the wisdom!
Expectations that's my problem and also having a lot of patterns in my hair. Near my face is almost straight but also get some 3A ringlets on the top of my head. Let's see if I discover my holy grail routine someday.
I feel that. Most of the top and mid layers of my hair is like 2B but near my face is 2C with an occasional 3A piece or three on some washdays, but the bottom layer is more 2A. You've just got to work with what you've got. 🤷🏻♀️
My wavy hair loves light weight products, I use medium hold gels and have amazing results. *You have to see what works better on your hair.* Try different styling techniques, and start with a small amount of product. ❤️
I just started my healthy hair journey , omg this video helped me feel so much better, I swear I was doing everything right and then still didn’t see what I wanted. Super hopeful for the upcoming months of my hair journey
Hey Courtney, I saw a video of yours with Mop Top products and decided to try them out and they worked great! Do you have any recommendations that are similar? I seem to buy too heavy of products... but I need a lot of hold like you mentioned due to my wavy crazy hair.
Wow thank you for mentioning the type of haircut! I always had a lot of layers in my hair and when I was transitioning from damaged to healthy waves my hair looked decent, but when I got a haircut they cut it blunt straight (even tho I asked for layers lol) and my waves don’t look good. I thought I was just imagining things
Love this video! btw I finally tried tres luxe gel - you said its not strong, its moisturizing - and i love it! its like my favorite shea moisture gels but better quality - i guess my hair needed more moisture!
Oh, i also had a cut that was blunt in the back but had layers undernearth the hair to give volume - it was super cute but was my last pre-quarantine hair cut and its meh growing out lol
Yeah, I refuse to cut my hair. Which is why my hair on the bottom always lies flat. It's very long, and it's what I want. I'm happy knowing my hair is fairly healthy and hydrated at the very least.
While I understand these videos are more directed to other women, I'm a guy and grew out my hair for religious & cultural reasons. These videos really help me take care of my hair as not anyone just can touch my hair in my folk religion!

Am I the only one who thinks Courtney's hair looks really nice in this video?
This is a great Courtney hair day for sure!
I'm loving her hair in this video too!!! 😍😍😍
This is exactly the results I want :D
I think I like it better :)
Yep, I thought she was going to tell us how much she loved her hair today.
Five months in and every wash day is a huge improvement for me! Stay patient everyone!
Woohooo!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I am not sure what Courtney did today that makes her think her hair looks bad, she is SO WRONG. Her hair looks great!
I think this is actually the result from her last video ... the product battle one? So it was a middle part and not as wet and styled right side up? ..... pretty sure. She's wearing the same shirt lol
Nope i lied its a different blue shirt 🙈😂😂
I also think she looks better. Sometimes her hair looks a little too heavy with product. It looks a little lighter/more natural here.
Indeed lpve this hair so much
I'm wavy too. Please let me know what you used and did for today's look. I actually like it better... For me imo.
Agree, want to know also
Yes, me too!
Same!
Same here! 👋🏻

The jeans analogy in regard to application methods is so true!
I know that the curly hair transition takes a while and I kept telling myself that I knew it wasn't an overnight miracle, and I would reap the benefits soon. I looked at it like a diet.
A beachy mermaid 🧜♀️ you look extra stunning today. Total mermaid vibes 🥰😘😘😘
I actually LOVE your look today - think this is true "beachy mermaid" hair 🧜♀️💕
I think you forgot another important mistake for waives: not protecting your hair! We waives need to protect our hair when we sleep and when we put it up. That’s using something to either sleep on or cover our hair at night, that’s using gentle scrunchies to hold our hair. We can experience breakage and will lead to more frizz!!
Lots of waives think that they don’t need to do this because their hair is much looser but they couldn’t be more wrong!
Oh my heck, YES. Especially for wavy kids who may toss and turn a lot. The tangles are insane.
What can I use then?
@@crystamarie4513 you can use thing that will protect your hair like: silk/satin scrunchies, satin/silk pillow case, satin/silk hair wrap, and gentle handling
@@deearrw ok. Thank you 👍
TRUTH!! 🙌🏼 my hair was much easier to deal with when I started sleeping on a silk pillowcase and wearing a silk bonnet. I always thought those were for curlies/coilies only.
Omg so thankful I found this, my waves have not been liking some “curly hair” products and they loosen my waves 😭
I hope to get my waves to look like yours( my original texture).
I always wonder this too! Like...did you even try to SOTC and fluff?? 😂
I wish I could just tell them, because I remember back when I didn't know.
How long do you think you should use a product for before deciding if it's for you? Like how do you know if it's just a "it takes time" thing or if it's just not the right one for you?
Your videos are super helpful btw ❤️
But I love your floofy hair in this video!! I thinks it's a nice balance of definition and volume.
Wow! Thank you!!
I swear I was JUST googling this about 10 minutes ago?? It’s destiny
I recently dyed my hair professionally but now I need to get the waves back. I don’t like straightening it anymore at all. Thanks for this video ➰➿➰💗
Meanwhile I become shirley temple lol. I started with Waves like yours and they have transformed to 3c with some 3b curls. It's getting curlier and curlier. 20 years of flat ironing my hair daily I had destroyed my curls😱.
How soon after starting the method did your curls start showing up?
Wow! This is the BEST I’ve seen your hair!!! 😍😍😍 goals
My hair hates coconut too! I’m trying to fix what a few weeks of coconut did. Scalp & hair are dry
@@christimcelroy7197 that happens to my hair too
Your hair in this video is my favorite. Beachy soft and full.
Oh thank you!
Application is like trying on a pair of jeans - LOL! Epic statement and so true !
Awe thank you! I love how you are approaching this as well. It is a journey, and everyone's will look differently!
Same, but recently my hair is being a pain so I'm really thinking shorter hair would be less troublesome and less tangle for me.
Can't wait for the one styler video comparison! Here to say you look fabulous! I know the feeling when it's not what you want. But you look fierce
I'm wavy too. Gotta say, I'm liking your hair that though! I am trying to get more "floofy" in my hair!
I get the strong hold gel thing. Soft hold gels often dont make it half a day in my hair, and second day its just a frizzy mess. Thats why my bounce curl hairspray is my holy grail, I use it all the time to add more strength to my gel.
Courtney you might not be happy but I love today’s look and want to know how you accomplished it!
Me too!!
Thankyou for this!❤️
So good be able to recognize someone else with the same hair ,and problems. 😍who understands.
I have wavy hair and corkscrews as Well , but only from the ears on down . I also have fine hair, and it’s only half of your amount.
And it gets oily and greasy fast. 🤷🏻♀️😢
I have been on this Journey for a long time.
Can you Please recommend a gel and something that gets texture in the hair ,that I would be able to but from where I live ,in Sweden?❤️🙏
My hair is typical Scandinavian very soft .
I love watching your videos, Courtney. And your hair color too! Is that natural?
#4 was so helpful for me to hear; thank you so much!
Absolutely! Glad it was helpful!
EXACTLY!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney I’ll clarify, 3-4 styling products, not total product. If you count shampoo and conditioner it’s 5-6 each wash day lol.
I was doing the curly girl thing without knowing it and I couldn’t believe how my hair was getting curly! Crazy! I need a hair gel or mousse but have no idea what to buy. I use only organic products.
Thats funny! And I have reviewed and done "one brand wash days" on quite a few organic lines here on the channel! Feel free to check them out!
I’ve made all those mistakes. Thanks for giving me hope I can overcome them.
I love your hair in this video. But I'm also obsessed with your hair color, its gorg
What a great analogy-jeans! I have mostly 3B/3C hair but over my ears on one side it’s a 2C/3A depending on what products I use). Thanks for the help! I have been doing this for 4 years and the more I figure out my own hair’s needs the more healthy it is😊
Would you consider using Aunt Jackie hair products? Specifically the curl custard? I'd love your take on it
Your hair looks Beeeaaauuuuutiful today like it always does! I absolutely adore you, Courtney! What I need to find now is someone to tell me which haircut is perfect for my curls, which is the perfect product, and how perfectly to apply it!! Any ideas?!?! 🤔🤔
It took 5 months after I stopped straightening for my curls to start appearing. It was a surprise.
I actually really like the way your hair looks this day! I want to know what you used?
I think your hair looks amazing like that 😍
This was very spot on, I've definitely made allllll of those mistakes in the past few months! Still in dire need of a better haircut lol. Thanks for the wisdom!
Thank you so much for doing this video!!! It's the little steps that I cannot skip on wash day!
I love how your hair looks! Could you make a video about it? 😍
Expectations that's my problem and also having a lot of patterns in my hair. Near my face is almost straight but also get some 3A ringlets on the top of my head. Let's see if I discover my holy grail routine someday.
I totally agree. My crown is completely flat and the rest wavy and or curly but all different textures
I feel that. Most of the top and mid layers of my hair is like 2B but near my face is 2C with an occasional 3A piece or three on some washdays, but the bottom layer is more 2A. You've just got to work with what you've got. 🤷🏻♀️
great advise . you have helped me so much. I watch all your video's and enjoy them. Thank you
My wavy hair loves light weight products, I use medium hold gels and have amazing results.
*You have to see what works better on your hair.* Try different styling techniques, and start with a small amount of product. ❤️
Agree!
You crack me up Courtney 🤣
I love your humor and facial expressions 😂
Thanks for the advice, useful stuff!
I actually like your hair even better like this!
I'm new to this, and I just want to ask, do you wash your hair everyday? And do you still use deep conditioner or co-wash?
Your hair looks fab like that!
I would love for my hair to look the way yours does today! This is the ideal look for me. What did you do?
Same!
Yeah, I refuse to cut my hair. Which is why my hair on the bottom always lies flat. It's very long, and it's what I want. I'm happy knowing my hair is fairly healthy and hydrated at the very least.
Watching your videos keep me motivated to stick to this journey so thank you!
Ok so this timeline info was super helpful! I wish I would have started at the beginning of the pandemic though 😅
