I'm working on this part now. I love that all the NACA coordinators are so motivating and positive. For our family this may be our only chance to get our own home. Forward is forward no matter how frustrating it gets. We're making our intake appointment tomorrow!
@@HardenTheGift I will definitely check them out! Thank you! I finished the budget, but I don't see a space to upload it. Do I keep this for the intake appointment?
Hello - I'm not sure what their current practices are, but typically, they look at your most recent 12 months of payment history which includes the last 3 months.
Thank you for this! Is the budget form available to download? I know it’s in the book, but what if I want copies? How often does it need to be filled out?
I don't know of a budget available for download, but you have an excellent idea. Ideally, one would make four copies of the weekly budget and then transfer it to the monthly budget. You can also create your own by using Word or Excel, and as long as it is somewhat close to your bank statements, you should be good to go.
A lot of Housing Authorities dont participate in the home ownership program with their vouchers. Does that matter? If you currently receive voucher can you use it for NACA?
@@HardenTheGift I thought so thanks. I receive a HCV but my pha do not have a purchase option. Another housing authority in my county does so I think I would have to try to switch if that was possible...i have my Naca information session next Saturday.
I don't know if the "Hot PHA" program still exists, but the good news is that you can often use any type of similar program to purchase. After you are NACA Qualified, your housing counselor would need to provide the NACA counselor with a document stating the amount of your voucher for a purchase. After receiving this, you are golden and proceed with the purchase in the same manner as you would without the program. The math works like this: If you were qualified for a PITI of $1,000, and your voucher is $800, you would then only need to pay $200/month.
Hi, can I personally send you a message through e-mail. I have a few questions i would like to ask you about Section 8. I am currently receiving a HCV in the State of Texas and would like to participate in this program. i have been trying to research and find out more information. I did download the brochure, but it still wasn't enough information.
I live in Bergen County New Jersey. The Housing Authority here said they do not participate. I don't know how will that work. I've already gathered some paperwork I've been trying to save some money but I'm unsure if I can actually purchase a home. BTW I have not made an appointment with my NACA counselor yet.
@@sahara11226 Make sure to ask at least three people before you go along with a "no". Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who would rather say "no" than find out the truth. I would suggest asking a competent NACA counselor and your actual Housing Authority rep.
My brother we need you to take this and run with it!
In one year I will qualify for NACA. I am starting getting into the my set of saving and paying off debt. I can’t wait.
My brother we need you to post more videos and continue dropping knowledge!

A positive attitude goes a long way. I recommend also looking into th HomeReady and HomePossible programs offered by the govt

The rental voucher is different than the rental voucher. A rental voucher cannot be used for purchasing home.

Type in google search " HOT-PHA NACA " you should be able to find what you need and go from there.
Thank you for sharing!
