Love the atmosphere in this game but by god… I couldn’t even get past the second level haha. I still enjoy the opening cinematic to this day & always remember my uncle picking this up and marvelled at the box. Was huge into Jurassic park as a kid, the toys, sticker album, pj’s… man what a time.
I remember this game. I remember the amount of rage quits I've had with being eaten by that T-Rex on Grant's story and then on the Raptor's story, It's just kill after kill trying to get to Grant which spams that Tazer like a mad man. Yep...Good times...
This was the only time my best friend and I called the tip line for a game pre-Google. Netscape was barely a thing. We couldn't figure out wtf to do at the end of the raptor version.

it took me many, many times to beat the game as grant... now, given I was 5 years old at the time, so there shouldn't be any shame in that, but I was never able to beat the game as the raptor. I knew, from beating it as grant, there was some way to make the bones fall and I spent probably 4 or 5 hours one day sitting on the last level, trying everything to make the bones fall, never figured it out.
Played this game TONS back in the day and NEVER noticed the T-Rex says SEGA at the start Also you going past all those extra health boxes have me anxiety Forgot how impressive this game is
The Cutscene actually has two completely different vehicles in it haha, the first one (from behind) is the red and grey wrangler, then the T Rex is grabbing the green wagon.
@@alexjohnson914 Agreed. I like other tunes in the game too but the visitors centre one is the best. All of them are grating if you listen for too long though. The whole game and it's atmosphere I can't imagine having positive mental effects on you if you play it too long.
I remember how they crammed up everything they could on Grants levels considering Sega not so great harddrive, hence why it's slow. There isn't much on Raptor's which is why it's fast gameplay. Well it is a raptor.

I never bothered playing the Human much in this game. It looks really weird to me how those T-Rex heads just pop out of the wall and this guy just seemed to run right past them lol Playing Raptor was awesome xD

I played this yesterday and found at the visitor center if you keep jumping at the boxs (at the begining the row of 3 with 1 on top) and push towards them u glitch through them and fall into room below. Only takes about 5 seconds
That X-men game drove me nuts when I think how great of a franchise and what the devs could have done to make it better, Especially those enemies and their a.i and animations . And removing that stupid mutant power bar ..
Seems to be sped up or running at the wrong frame rate like a pal ROM running on NTSC emulator. Played this game a lot as a kid and the music is definitely running too fast

you die if you fall too far as grant. the runner somehow manipulates the game several times to fall much further than you should be able to (it's a frustratingly short distance that's inconsistently applied. if grant screams, you're about a frame away from death). that instance the runner's unsuccessful however.
@@Just_a_Lad I think it's just the controls aren't very responsive. That's what's shooting. It does seem to slow down a bit though in this playthrough.
i recall the same stuttering in the same places on my Genesis model. i play this on an online emulator and it stutters in the same places. the one place i especially remeber the stuttering was on one of the staircases in the last level. i would always stop walking for a split second and the game would catch up.

I've played this game a billion time and never noticed that the jeep in the cutscene is different than the jeep Grant starts the game next to.
