It was a lovely walk with you today. I'm so sorry about Larry. Something like that happened to me with a feral cat that is now the most pampered house cat. I don't like cats,, but I was so drawn to this cat. That I now call Pyewacket and 50 other pet names. She is seeing me through debilitating chronic illnesses and the loss of my mother last April. Hi Mary, I always enjoy your book reviews and any part of your life. I can relate to the loss of your beautiful cat Larry as I also loss a loving cat named Sebastian. We had him 16 years and although he was so quiet as Persian's are the day we lost him the house fell eerily quiet. I have as you do fond memories that I will treasure forever and I am sure we will see them again. God Bless You and I will see you in the next one.

Animals never complain, talk back, seek revenge, or ask for more than we can give. They MEET US WHERE WE ARE in life and compliment us in a familiar way. Like you said..." One day she just walked in.." She served you well..till her time was up.. And surely for us to ponder.. She trusted and bonded to you without reason. Among the many doors in the neighborhood she could have come to for aid..it was your door she sat at everyday. Love all your videos.. And yes..interior spaces can be healing, and supportive to us... A creative outlet for those who need a way to express themselves without saying a word. To many..a well designed room is worth a thousand well said words.. That’s a beautiful gift between you and her, and something to find comfort in. ❤️😉 I wish the world had many re kind people like yourself who would take in dogs and cats.. there are so many now without homes.
I'm sorry about you cat. My dearest companion has been gone, as of this month, for about 8 years now. She was my shadow, always at my feet, in my lap or at the foot of my bed, for almost 17 years and I still miss her. I have nine cats at this time. I've had as many as 18 on our farm, most all of them barn or feral cats. Not pets really, but we feed them daily so they stay close by. We do have just a few who are like pets and we always receive lots of kitty love from them. But over time they do leave us, not by running away, but by not living longer. It's ok to grieve pets--as if we had a choice. ...As always I enjoyed the book review very much. Thank you!

I know the joy and support and unconditional love a feline can give as my Siamese cat is approaching our 20th year together. So sorry you lost your Kitty! I certainly know what a comfort and close companion they are! I had my Ragdoll Miss Kitty for 15 years who I’ve always said was my best friend ❤ she actually crawled into my lap and had a sudden fatal heart attack 😢 At first I thought why in my lap did she die? But now appreciate that she loved me enough to say goodbye ❤😢! Usually they go off somewhere to die😢 I feel God gave us these precious friends in life to help us through and when they honor God in that way he brings them to Heaven to see again!!! With all the beauty and love in Heaven why would there not be our precious pets!❤❤❤
Pam- you made me cry again, but in a good way! You are right about God bringing them to heaven. Larry did the same thing as your Miss Kitty. I could tell she was at the end, but while in my arms, I told her that she was the best girl ever and that I would be okay. It was then she took her last breath, her eyes dilated and she left this earth with a piece of my soul! 💕🐈

@@thetartantopiary Yes, Cavaliers are great, some have incredibly wonderful personalities, often extremely intelligent and intuitive. The only drawback is that they have hereditary heart valve problems. You have mentioned Roscoe at the end in one of your videos

Oh, you are sweet to say that. This video was made in September and I was beside myself with grief. While I’ll always miss that sweet girl, I am not crying constantly like I was then. To answer your question-when Larry came to our back porch, my son (who is 17 now) was 4 years old, and he called her Larry and she seemed to respond to him. We didn’t know “Larry” should have been “Hillary”. We kept the name and she adopted us…lucky us! 🐈

My heart goes out to you and the lose of your beloved furry friend. We lost our beloved Yorkie (12 yrs old) last July due to kidney failure. It was extremely fast, within 12 hours. The pain of her loss stays with me to this day. We have a Yorkie puppy Lexi and she fills the hole, as puppies do. The memory of Tiffany will always remain. A friend gave me the Rainbow Bridge poem, so one I hope to be reunited with out beloved four legged🐾 family members. Stay strong the pain will ease in time and the memories will make you smile again. ❤

Enjoyed the book by Beth Webb---I especially love neutrals! To me they are more soothing and harmonious, with perfectly placed objects of color---and it's much easier to make seasonal changes! I'm so sorry to hear of your furry friend Larry passing away---especially because she was a gift from heaven who found her way to you, just after your dad's passing---I believe in synchronicity. Something will come your way again to comfort and help you through this very sad time. It has been said that the people who have shared so much of our lives are the keepers of our history---that is true of animals as well. Enjoyed the walk with you through your lovely neighborhood! I'm terribly sorry fir your loss of Larry! I can fully identify with a loss of a lived cat. I lost mine, he was 17 years old.
I appreciate your thoughtfulness. These lovely creatures can really leave a void in our lives and our hearts. I am sorry for your loss as well. I remember saying to my husband that I didn't want to get another cat because the pain of losing Larry was too much. Well, just last month we welcomed "Bobbie Cat" into our family. She needed us as much as we needed her! 🐈
